How to Get There
This hotel had everything you would expect... clean great service beautiful lagoon setting and quality bungalow accommodation. There wouldn’t be many better to stay on island..no kids big bonus. It is on west coast so has best sunset. You have to pay for Wifi so check this is in your room before arriving.
Breakfast included which is a good hardy all you can eat buffet.
I would stay here again.
My husband and I decided to book our honeymoon in Rarotonga. We booked to stay at the Crown Beach Resort for 5 nights and the Pacific Resort for 5 nights. Easy to say, the Crown Beach Resort was better than the Pacific. The customer service at the Crown was exceptional. Nothing was a problem for the girls at reception. The girls assisted my husband and I with booking island activities and recommended places for us to eat and drink. The Crown’s rooms were perfect size with a comfortable king bed. The buffet breakfast was delicious with a cold buffet and an option of eggs or an omelette. The bartender Jason made the best cocktails and their restaurant Flambé was delicious. The food at their other restaurant, The Ocean Restaurant was the second best restaurant on the island (in my opinion). The location on the island was perfect as you got to see the most beautiful sunset each night, it was close to the town centre, and close to nice restaurants and bars. Overall the crown was a 10/10 experience.
Stayed 2 nights in the private pool villa 36. The rooms are very spacious and immaculate.
The big claw bath and huge monsoon shower are the best!
The staff were great and the morning breakfasts were fantastic.
The only thing missing is Sky TV but after checking out many other resort rooms on the Island, these are among the best.
Crown Beach Resort is located on the west of the island, the perfect spot for sundowners right on the beach. The resort is for over 16s only, so it’s great for a couples trip (which ours was). The villas initially seem a bit rustic for 4 star, but they were super comfy, air conditioned (a must!), and serviced to a high standard daily. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided, right down to a breakfast basket delivered before our early transfer on departure day.
The service was outstanding from pick up to drop off. The team goes out of its way with a warm pacific charm. From booking transport to bike hire, we only had to ask. Table service was relaxed but professional and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the daily cocktail-of-the-day during happy hour (which is actually 3, but who’s counting?)
You could go to Raro and never have to leave this resort to have a marvellous holiday if you so wished. There is a restaurant and bar, on the beach obviously, with regular themed nights (e.g., a ‘cultural’ night). Snorkeling gear and canoes for guests to use, plus other activities like walks, crafts, and talks. (The resort is well located for snorkeling and we were stunned by the variety of fishes only meters from the shoreline.) Therw is a large swimming pool too, and some villas have private pools.
If you do feel inclined to explore—and you should—there is a bus stop at the end of the drive and a car/scooter/bicycle rental place across the road. The resort is approx. 10 mins to the airport and 20 mins to the main ‘town’.
We stayed 2 nights in Villa No3 and the Villa was well equipped with all amenities you need. Kitchenette and A/C in living room and bedroom. Bedroom and bath room are clean and specious. Receptionist Robin was very helpful with everything you needed. The staff of the hotel were very kind and helpful. The local dance show on Thursday’s is one of the best shows we have seen on all Islands. 5 min away from the airport and close to other restaurants and rental car companies. Definitely a great place to stay.
