The Lowdown

Menorca is well known for its Spanish allure, peacefulness, crystal clear waters and pretty sandy beaches. White Sands Beach Club by Diamond Resorts resides on a cocooned bay, and is perfectly placed for easy beach access. It’s one great reason to plan a Balearic Island getaway, to bask in the sun and take in sublime views.
The hotel’s brilliant white façade is striking, as are its archways and pretty garden seating areas that make for a cosy holiday setting. Here, accessibility and convenience are combined with complete relaxation, and you’ll find a beautiful pool terrace lined with thatched umbrellas and sunbeds. This hotel facilitates family stays, but you can also escape the play areas with a romantic stroll along the shoreline.
You will not be short of things to do along and away from this exquisite coastline. Visit the island’s delightful Ciutadella city, that will take you back in time with its cobbled lanes, Gothic churches and medieval architecture. Embrace Spanish culture with an evening showcase of dancing horses at Somni, and savour some tasty local cuisine in Mahón.

Amazing Location

Location, location, location.

Look at the photos, what you see is what you get. I'm a scuba diver and this area is fantastic for diving....(Blue Dive Club). Our room had a view from the pool to the cove. One day I decided to go snorkeling, grabbed my gear and off I went just a few meters from the pool to the left and tip....FANTASTIC! water clear, and plenty of fish to see. So pre-book your adventure to White Sands Beach Club...why wait?

Balearic Birthday Getaway
Reviewed 1 month ago

My husband and I booked a stay here for my birthday celebration. It is a beautiful resort in the gorgeous Arenal d’en castell location. Our condo/unit had a stunning ocean view and modern/contemporary furnishings. The White’s Bar Restaurant on site served fantastic food for dinner, lunch and breakfast with wonderful service from the staff.

Everything was perfect until a severe storm and water spout/tornado hit the island which caused a blackout for several days at the resort and many parts of the island. Unfortunately, the management didn’t handle the crisis very well leaving guests without working flashlights or candles. We had to make our way to the front desk in the dark asking for batteries because the flashlight in our room didn’t work. The staff didn’t have anything except a gallon of bottled water. We had to use that water to help flush the toilets as the water supply got cut off.

Throughout the blackout period, there was no information provided to us unless we visited the front desk to ask questions. There should have been a written advisory after a day or two of the blackout distributed by management with information on what happened, which restaurants were open in the island, which towns had power and when water or power is expected to be restored at the resort, resources/supplies available, etc. Luckily, we rented a car and we managed to figure out where to go during the day to eat and get WiFi. It was very inconvenient not to be able to take a shower for a couple of days and flush the toilet in our room. While the staff can’t be faulted for the storm and the blackout, the management and staff are in dire need of training on how to handle emergencies and natural crises, especially for a diamond resort.

After another day of no power and no water, we decided to salvage the rest of our vacation on the island by booking a room in another hotel in Es Castell where they had power.

Despite such circumstances, we plan to return during the summer to enjoy the beautiful location and beach when storms are less likely. Hopefully, the staff will be well-trained in customer service by then.

White sands beach resort
We weren’t able to get the water view we wanted, but the location of the resort itself was great! We were right on the beach, the infinity pool has a beautiful view that you could enjoy for hours. Our resort was located within a cove so we had a strip of the beach cut out for our enjoyment. The water was shallow and warm which was great. They had games and movies that we were able to use whenever we wanted. We had a DVD player available in our room which was great! The beach could have been kept a little better, but overall we enjoyed it. The food at the resort wasn’t good at all, it was overpriced and we didn’t feel that it was worth it. Another thing we didn’t like was that they up charge for everything - checking our late, beach chairs, changing your room, breakfast, pretty much anything that wasn’t in or attached to the room was an up charge. Overall, we would recommend it, but try your best to get a water view
