The Lowdown

Menorca is well known for its Spanish allure, peacefulness, crystal clear waters and pretty sandy beaches. White Sands Beach Club by Diamond Resorts resides on a cocooned bay, and is perfectly placed for easy beach access. It’s one great reason to plan a Balearic Island getaway, to bask in the sun and take in sublime views.
The hotel’s brilliant white façade is striking, as are its archways and pretty garden seating areas that make for a cosy holiday setting. Here, accessibility and convenience are combined with complete relaxation, and you’ll find a beautiful pool terrace lined with thatched umbrellas and sunbeds. This hotel facilitates family stays, but you can also escape the play areas with a romantic stroll along the shoreline.
You will not be short of things to do along and away from this exquisite coastline. Visit the island’s delightful Ciutadella city, that will take you back in time with its cobbled lanes, Gothic churches and medieval architecture. Embrace Spanish culture with an evening showcase of dancing horses at Somni, and savour some tasty local cuisine in Mahón.

Second time we’ve been here, reception staff are wonderful, the porter who carried our heavy case for us was so friendly and welcoming, the resort is very peaceful and beautiful, it’s right on a sandy cove perfect for snorkelling, best WiFi we’ve had at a holiday resort , we requested the room we were in last time and got it:) beautiful views ,clean rooms with everything you need , only downside is not much entertainment during day and on an evening. Other diamond resorts seem to have a lot more going on. Looking forward to our next visit here, @welcome Home.

A wonderful apartment/hotel complex. We only stayed for one night as we are walking the Cami de Cavalls coast path. We had a huge suite and it was simply wonderful although it was the most expensive accommodation of the trip!

4 stars as Wi-Fi had to be paid for at E5 for the day. Thought that was steep based on what we'd already paid to stay here in a room only basis.

Great pool with lovely views.

Great resort for a chilled break

Good apartments with all the facilities you require. Infinity pool with secluded beach within 50 yards. Grocery store not on site but very close by. Just the place if you want a mature and relaxing holiday. Plenty of good quality restaurants within walking distance. Limited facilities if you’ve brought your bored teenagers with you!

Beautiful location, amazing views.

We stayed late May and were really delighted with this resort. We are Diamond members and had requested a sea view, particularly as I have mobility issues and can't go for long walks, preferring to sit on the balcony with a good book!
The views from this resort are stunning, overlooking the turquoise bay with private yachts gently bobbing on the water. We were fortunate enough to have a roof terrace which meant sun all day as the balconies are covered and get limited sun.
We had 2 short breaks in different apartments having left the resort for the weekend to explore the island. The first apartment was clean and comfortable but not refurbished, the second one, exceptional. It was refurbished and the higher standard clear to see.
The girls on reception were great, really helpful and friendly.
The beach was lovely, quiet, clean shallow water with rocks to perch on if you don't want to pay for a sunbed. Pool area was nice, lovely views with sunbeds always available. Too cold unless your a vigorous swimmer.
Whites Bar were great as they cooked us the lamb dish for a Tuesday lunchtime when it is normally only available Thursday evenings. We gave them a couple of days notice and they duly obliged. The lamb was delicious, melting off the bone. We were very impressed.
WiFi coverage was good and TV had a good choice of stations. We tended to watch DVDs , a large free supply of these in reception. This was because the films on live TV all had running voice-over commentaries that couldn't seem to be turned off, slightly irritating!
Menorca itself is a beautiful island. Very clean and green. Quiet roads and very few high-rise buildings. The eco tourist tax may seem a nuisance but it is being well spent. The rate at white sands is 2.5 euros pp per day in the summer months, not the 4 euros it says on the Diamond website.
Fornells just up the coast is particularly delightful, well worth a visit.
We will certainly return to White sands , it's calming atmosphere natural beauty and friendly environment will stay with us for a long time....

Outstanding and quiet resort - family friendly

We've recently got back from our stay at White Sands and it was great. The resort was quiet even though it was half term - we never had to wait for loungers or a table at the restaurant. There is a private beach which is on a little cove which makes it very easy for children to swim in. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and all the apartments we stayed in were newly renovated meaning they were to an excellent standard.

A couple of minor criticisms: the pool was perhaps a little too cold for he children, but I guess as it's not heated that's just down the to weather and so depends what time of year you go. Also, towel rental isn't that convenient as they don't let you exchange for new towels throughout which is frustrating.

Overall we had a brilliant stay and can't wait to come back.
