The Lowdown

Menorca is well known for its Spanish allure, peacefulness, crystal clear waters and pretty sandy beaches. White Sands Beach Club by Diamond Resorts resides on a cocooned bay, and is perfectly placed for easy beach access. It’s one great reason to plan a Balearic Island getaway, to bask in the sun and take in sublime views.
The hotel’s brilliant white façade is striking, as are its archways and pretty garden seating areas that make for a cosy holiday setting. Here, accessibility and convenience are combined with complete relaxation, and you’ll find a beautiful pool terrace lined with thatched umbrellas and sunbeds. This hotel facilitates family stays, but you can also escape the play areas with a romantic stroll along the shoreline.
You will not be short of things to do along and away from this exquisite coastline. Visit the island’s delightful Ciutadella city, that will take you back in time with its cobbled lanes, Gothic churches and medieval architecture. Embrace Spanish culture with an evening showcase of dancing horses at Somni, and savour some tasty local cuisine in Mahón.

Great standard, lovely staff

We stayed here for a week in June as a family of 4 adults. After a glitch on check in where we were told there had been a flood in our original apartment, we were given the option of moving on the 3rd or 4th day. We had asked for a sea view, but this was not accommodated in our original apartment allocation. The receptionist however was fantastic, and made arrangements for us to move on day 3, to a lovely apartment with an amazing view and a roof terrace, and could not have been more accommodating for us.

The apartments are a high spec finish, and well equipped. What is great is that Diamond has now put water filters in the apartments so you can drink from the filter tap. This is part of their campaign to reduce plastic, but also saves carrying massive bottles of water up and down many steps.

There are guest activities, but was a little confusion over whether they needed to be booked or not, particularly the sea scuba diving and my daughter was unable to do it as it was unclear.

All in all, a great week, fabulous restaurant on site and good restaurants nearby, with friendly and helpful staff.

Finally, thankfully, Diamond seem to have listened to feedback that we don’t want a morning of our holiday taken up with a ‘presentation’ and have changed their model. Our week, was our week.

What a beautiful place to stay. Perfect for families and couples. Beach right next to the apartments. Very safe and shallow water for children. Our apartment had been renovated recently and was of a very high standard with everything you could possibly need and more.
White's bar and restaurant on site was fabulous. We ate there 4 nights out of the 7 because it was so good. Entertainment most nights in there too. Mostly singers/bands/karaoke all of which were good and the waiters and staff at the complex were all so friendly and helpful.
We will be going back. Would be hard to find anywhere better for our needs.

Great resort

Fantastic apartments with a small but beautiful private beach that’s perfect for young children. The water is very shallow so it feels very safe. There’s a larger beach next to the private area which is equally nice.
The pool area is lovely too with child’s pool attached to the adult pool.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
We had a 2 bed duplex apartment and had everything you could possibly need with an amazing view over the bay.
The resort was very quiet as we visited just after the usually school holiday and the area is peaceful so perfect for a relaxing break.

Brilliant resort

Just spent a week here with 2 children under the age of 6 and my parents. It is a lovely resort and the close proximity of the beach cannot be beaten. The area itself isn't very "traditional" and the restaurants serve very similar menus. We ate at Whites Bar mainly. It was closer and better value than others in the area. The food is excellent and the team are exceptional. They make a real fuss of kids, which my two loved. The only thing I would change if I went back is that I would hire a car and go and see the island. The weather was also a bit mixed and some days were overcast and cold. Many places were still closed, which for us was nice because we prefer quieter places but if you want some life, you might want to wait until their season kicks in properly. Definitely will return. If you get a higher apartment be careful for the seagulls. One pinched our wet wipes off the table (random!!!) And another flew down and snatched a croissant from the little boys hand in the next apartment!
