A night among the clouds!

I took my family to spend a night at Santo Domingo's Santo Cielo.

To get there is an experience in itself. The entire road up the steep mountain is decorated with fabulous sculptures and art installations. When you get to the top of the mountain you find yourselves in a magical park surrounded by art, sculptures and galeries, magnificent volcanoes, and a wonderful bird's eye view of Antigua Guatemala. (The hotel will provide a shuttle to the top if you do not have your own vehicle)

Once at the top, the host will give you a ride to the cabin/air-streams. They have an amazingly cozy cabin and these really cool air-streams that have been retrofitted to be comfy hotel rooms. They each have a deck with a wonderfully forested view of Antigua from the top of the mountain, a Jacuzzi, and a fire pit.

And at the top, along with the art and galleries there is also a great restaurant with the most amazing view of the Water (Agua), Fire (Fuego), and Acatenango volcanoes.

A highly recommended trip. Will go again!

Amazing hotel nearby the city center.
You stay in a dreammm..
Rooms large and comfortable. Rich and tasty breakfast but the main thing is the great atmospheer in the hotel in an antic place, well maintained and great staff.
2 days are not enough. Not for the city and certainly not enough to fully enjoy the hotel.
Worth comming again

One of the best places I’ve stayed at

The cabin we stayed at looks just like the pictures on line. The view of the jungle look amazing, my favorite part was the view from the shower. Service is amazing. You never have to walk to or from your car someone is always there to pick you up along with your luggage. Definitely checkout the museum they have right outside the hotel lobby.

Every time my family and I visit Antigua, we stay at Hotel Casa Santo Domingo. This is where my wife and I got married and it holds a very special place in our hearts.
This last visit was as wonderful as always, we had amazing food and always came back to a very neat, clean room with plenty of towels for all of us. The our beds were always neatly made and we always had someone coming late in the afternoon offering to set our bed ready for the night.
Truly an amazing place to stay at with so many things to do, from the chocolate factory, to the candle factory, to the museums, to the manicured gardens just to mention some.
The service was spectacular and the warm smile of the staff was always contagious. I love coming back time and time again.

This hotel was Constructed inside the ruins of an old convent. The hotel has beautiful lunch manicured grounds and several museums on the property. Rooms were lovely. The service impeccable and the food excellent. This would be a world class hotel anywhere in the world not just Guatemala.
