Dreadful resort - not what they advertise!

Don't stay here - we deeply regret our 6 nights here. There were so many complaints from other guests, some left early to stay at other accommodation. Our villa was not clean, sheets not changed and the deck furniture very cheap and run down. Tropical Buffet Breakfast was appalling, accommodation 3 star - definitely felt ripped off. The staff obviously don't care much for the tired, run down resort. The barge which was quite unsafe to get on and off (about a 1 minute trip to other side) was used to cart everything. We caught staff throwing a bucket of plastics in to the lagoon in the afternoon while we were swimming. A beautiful location but a terrible resort with dreadful service. The restaurant overlooks a car park across the lagoon, the pool is not clean, the whole resort is not maintained. We are very sure they don't clean their snorkels as we watched they put them back in the same container as those to give out. We were so disappointed that we paid so much money for an awful experience. I highly recommend people do not stay here!!!

Awesome place to visit

What a great place to stay, we stayed 3 nights in an overwater bungalow and it was amazing. Yes the resort is a little dated but in no way did that detract from an awesome stay. Everyone was so friendly, the room was great with the amazing lagoon right at the bottom of the steps. We enjoyed the restaurant as well as some on the main island. Can’t wait to go back.

Nice but not luxury

We stayed for 5 nights. This is a beautiful location and the no children feature was a draw card. The complimentary bottle of wine was appreciated. We found the staff very friendly, but would suggest this is 3 star, and not luxurious. Our bathroom was not cleaned once during our stay. The shower is outside, but fully enclosed, and needed a good scrub or water blast. The bed frame had termites, you could see the saw dust piled in the corners and gritty bits on the sheets. I asked for a vacuum cleaner and was advised that there is only 1 in the whole resort and that it was in maintenance. I did get the sheets and underlay changed. I was covered in bites, so slept on top of the bed for the last 3 nights, and that made a huge difference.
The restaurant was nice, good cocktails, food ok, but not a big selection for dinner. Tuna was the fish of the day ... everyday. The complimentary tropical breakfast was satisfactory, only one hot dish (banana pancakes) available from the buffet. However you could purchase a cooked breakfast. We did enjoy the BBQ lunch down by the water. The free use of kayaks was enjoyable.
