Beautiful clean city
Reviewed 5 days ago

What a welcome ......... first visit to Croatia, and it lives up to expectations. Split is a lovely clean historical city but can honestly say you only need two days to see everything.
Hotel was perfectly positioned - smack bang in the middle of the Diocletian Palace where you would expect it to be noisy - but on the contrary!! Surrounded by a vast choice of restaurants and bars all serving from varied menus. Fish and seafood is a must - freshly caught

Charming hotel in Split old town
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We took 2 rooms in the Villa Dobric newly refurbished extension that accommodates 4 rooms. It is a very charming old building with modern 2 floor rooms (ours were numbers 3 and 4) toilets are on 1st floor, beds on the 2nd. Molton Brown toiletries. Free local mobile phone with WiFi during the stay. Very central. On the negative side: poor breakfast in the extension, I think it is more varied in the main hotel bldg though; not accessible by car but the hotel staff met us at the taxi drop point to help out with the luggage, not cheap for a 4* but worth it.

The Villa Dobric annexe was excellent
Reviewed 4 weeks ago

We stayed in the Villa Dobric annexe a short walk from the main hotel. Villa Dobric has only four rooms but there is a lounge and eating area and a small outdoor terrace. Villa Dobric was manned all the time by helpful and attentive staff. The position is perfect, the room was comfortable and well equipped. We found the Villa Dobric to be ideal for us and we were very happy with our stay.

A Lovely Hidden Gem

Service was top-notch. A delightful, young man met us at the gates of Old Town, grabbed our luggage and led us to the hotel's front desk, then up to our room, which was beautifully appointed and located within the palace. A wonderful breakfast served outside in the courtyard was delightful. We loved the outdoor market, the music in the square, the beautiful light and shadows cast upon the stone of this old, enchanting city. Mesmerizing.

Luxury in middle of Roman ruins
Reviewed 2 months ago

Arrived with no booking & got the last room - unbeatable location & fabulous hotel. Staff were friendly, helpful & professional. Ate breakfast in the courtyard listening to live singers & sat in Roman Forum each night listening to more live music. Amenities are top class. Would absolutely recommend staying here
