How to Get There
Modern hotel ideally located close to the Madrid Atocha train station! Staff were very friendly and helpful as far as advising us what to see of special interest in the area. One of our areas of focus was the Prado Museum and it was within easy walking distance of the hotel. Also, while there is food available at the hotel there are also many restaurants very close to this location.
We stayed here for 3 nights, principally to be close to the museums. The welcome was excellent & our premium room on the fourth floor was good. We opted to take breakfast in the hotel & it was superb, so much variety, eggs cooked to order & both hot & cold options available, it was a great way to start the day.
We visited the Sky Bar a few times, no problem with the cold as outdoor heaters were in use & blankets were provided. We received complimentary savoury popcorn with our drinks.
We had a couple of suppers in the hotel restaurant, too tired to go out again, both were very good & the service throughout our stay was warm, friendly & efficient.
The hotel is right next to the metro, a main railway station & a bus stop. Taxis were also plentiful & very reasonably priced.
If we return to Madrid, we would certainly return to this hotel.
This was our first time to Madrid and the hotel didn’t disappoint, the best location, amazing rooms, breakfast was incredible and what made it the best stay was the staff.
From the moment we entered the lobby the staff were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us, a glass of ice cold cava on check in and the perfect way to start our few days in Madrid before we went to Seville.
We had such an amazing time in beautiful Madrid but then it was time to move into Seville........so we went to get our tickets from the train station.......the ticket office was closed and their customer service told us to book online.
Word of warning......if you are going to book train tickets in the Renfe website it’s the worst website EVER and is very complicated. We didn’t know what to do.
So we went and spoke to Nuria Barroso in the lobby from Guest Relations.
Now, if there was a way that EVER Guest Relations person should be in every hotel around the world it was Nuria.
Now I am a seasoned traveller but this website was challenging as it didn’t allow for it to be changed to English. Nuria logged on for me, got all the tickets sorted on the right days and times and then completed all the complicated customer log ins.....and even sent the ticket .pdf to her email where she printed them off.
Wow, what an asset & credit she is to the hotel and obviously is incredibly good at her job.
Whoever her manager is...........give her a pay rise and make sure she doesn’t leave your hotel as there are few people as good as she is in the hotel business.
But thank tomeveryone at the Only You - Atocha but an extra special thanks to Nuria Barroso!
Great location for our Business purposes, modern stylish Hotel with everything you need, including a really good restaurant where they serve delicious Spanish tapas, amongst the rest. It gets very (!) busy, so you might have to wait for checking-in or checking-out and for some other services, but overall our was a very good experience.
This beautiful hotel is located in a convenient part of the city where you can walk anywhere you want to go-- the park, museums, restaurants-- everything is easily accessible. The lobby is like an artist loft that is intriguing and inviting. The room was quite small, but clean. Beware staying on the 6th floor beneath the Rooftop Party on the 7th floor, and some of the sounds come through.
