How to Get There
The hotel is just across the street from Atocha Station. Very easy to access. The room is clean. And the food is fascinating. We had light meal at a restaurant on the lobby floor, servers were very friendly. I like this hotel.
Being right by Atocha Station and at the end of the A3 the Hotel is in a good location for those coming in by train or car (from south east Spain). It is just outside the central restricted traffic zone so again no problem if arriving by car. There also appeared to be ample room in the car park (which can be booked via elparking.com). The city centre can be easily accessed on foot or via the metro and Retiro Park is just around the corner. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well maintained and if in a Junior Suite come with a few extras (free bottled water, jar of sweets in the room and bed turn-down service with a small gift.). Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a good choice at the buffet breakfast but for what you get it is a bit pricey.
If going back to Madrid I would stay there again.
It’s very near Atocha Train station, really convenient. The buffet breakfast is on the top floor and with a good view of Madrid in the morning.By the way, the staff Ruiea, is very nice and friendly. Thank you so much.
Nuria on reception sealed the deal for me. She picked up on my attempt to speak Spanish and had fun testing me over an extended and joyous check in. I had a billing issue due to my employer's travel company which required a few return visits to reception and she made a point of coming over to help out every time. Nuria has the perfect personality for the job and I suspect for life in general. I also had great treatment from her colleague for breakfast in the sky bar on 3 December. Really attentive and friendly. I didn’t catch her name but in the hope that this praise gets back to her, she was young, slim and had long brown hair and met diners as they come in. Perhaps she was making up for me suddenly finding that the travel company had not paid for my breakfast. In itself, the hotel is lovely, quirky and really convenient for the city and Atocha train station. Winter in the sky bar with it's outdoor seating, blankets and heaters is ace. For me though, it is the staff that make it really special. I will be back!
This is a great hotel to stay at in Madrid. The decor is trendy, staff was pleasant and the free candy as well as infused water in the lobby were a very nice touch. Located right across the street from the Atocha train station, you can easily walk to all the main attractions around the city within 20-30 minutes. The hotel is very quiet and we could barely hear any noise from traffic or other guests (despite that it was apparently fully booked). Highly recommend to anyone!
