How to Get There
Very Very Very (!!!) cool hotel at the best area in Madrid for those not looking to be in the midst of the city (e.g. Gran Via). Chueca is a very cool local neighborhood at a walking distance to anything. Lots of restaurants and bars.
The hotel is amazing, electric atmosphere with the lobby and the electro music. Staff is super professional (we were checked in by David)
The hotel is at a very high standard and rooms are very well designed, very clean and quiet thanks to good noise isolation (from the outside street and from the inside)
Super pleased and highly recommend.
My experience of this hotel is not quite as happy as everyone else's. In fact, I feel really disappointed. Everything you read in these reviews is actually a pretty good reflection of the hotel decor, friendly staff and hotel location. Everyone loves it and I can see why. But my experience wasn't so happy.
From the moment we checked in, I just felt there was something strange or odd about about our booking. The check-in staff planted a seed of doubt in my mind about the 'only room available' and not being able to upgrade us. I just thought that was all a bit odd.
Our room was very small - even by city centre standards. Only room for two small bedside tables either side of the bed. Not only that but it was dark and had no natural light. The window overlooked the reception area - which was constantly busy. It didn't reflect the room I thought we were going to get looking at online photos beforehand.
We did ask to be moved but were told that all the de-luxe rooms face into the interior wells of the building. If we wanted a street facing window the was an extra charge of 40-50 euros per night.
Bearing in mind that we had paid 300 euros per night for this hotel, we felt that was unreasonable and thought the room was unacceptable for the money we had paid. After one night in the hotel, I did mention to the staff once again that we were really disappointed with the room but no action was taken.
I'm not entirely sure how we got to pay so much for the room compared to other travellers as I always use Trip Advisor, Booking.com etc - but I don't feel we had value for money at all.
Disappointed sums it up for us.
Lovely hotel in the heart of
Madrid. A big shout out to Abdul who was always on hand to line up many options for our group of friends. A true professional.
The room service was also incredibly efficient and friendly.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, and we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a larger room with a balcony (I think because we paid for a late check out on our last day). While the rooms are small, the size is what you'd expect in a city centre hotel and the space has been very thoughtfully designed so you still get a comfortable experience. Design and fittings are stylish and good quality. Bed was very comfy and the shower while compact was good. We didn't have breakfast as it was expensive and we prefer a light breakfast to leave plenty of space for lunch! Lots of good options for lighter breakfasts in the area. We did use the bar one evening and also the restaurant for lunch and both were very good. Would definitely stay again
Blown away by this super cool boutique hotel in central Madrid. Loved it and have booked to stay on my next business trip to Madrid. I recommend the bar and the restaurant, no need to leave.
Service is exceptional. I can't believe it's only 200 Euros for a room.
