Although the room was nice, it was a quite uncomfortable experience. The desk staff are not welcoming whatsoever and there is zero information given to you about the room such as how to get the lights on. It sounds stupid but to tell us something as simple as needing the key card inserted to turn the power on would have been courteous and made our experience less frustrating. I have never felt so unwelcome at a hotel which exists in the field of “hospitality”. The room service food was decent but no utensils or condiments were provided and when we asked for them our server rolled his eyes said nothing and stomped off only to return unexpectedly almost 10 minutes later with only condiments. We felt too uncomfortable with the treatment we were getting that we dare not ask again. We couldn’t wait to leave. When we did the next morning, the receptionist informed us she signed us up for the airport shuttle only to find out once we boarded that she had not done so and the driver kept questioning us and after informing him that we had been signed up he called to make sure we weren’t lying. Worst hotel experience ever in terms of staff and service.

Options for Ifema
Reviewed 2 months ago

This Hotel was a surprise, we were looking for a option near to Ifema and with shuttle service to Fitur and was a great surprise. Rooms are very spacious, clean, friendly staff, breakfast with plenty options to start your day, for Dinner also. Located just 2 blocks away from El Capricho Metro Line , who will take to Downtown. Was a great option also with a taxis strike in all the city.

Superb location but the rooms F&F needs TLC
Reviewed 2 months ago

Truly enjoyed the location, the team service and the size of the rooms, but there are few fundamental faults; Shower water pressure is extremely low, the room was smelling of smoke to a level that all my items of clothing needed to be aired for 24 hours once I have checked out, the pillows are having deep smoke smell into them and the mattress is a professional orthopaedic hazard. Sorry, but I will not come again unless a massive change will take place. On the positive note - the hotel is offering great underground parking with direct access to the rooms for a very reasonable price of €12 a day.

Rating on service and shuttle.

We atayed at this hotel on Dec. 11, 2018. Upon arrival to the airport in Madrid we walked to the area for hotel shuttle busses and wait for over an hour in a half. The shuttle bus never showed up so we had to take a taxi to the hotel. Once we arrived to check in I inquired about the shuttle from the airport and the receptions Stated, “you were suppose to call us so we can come get you,” it is not stated on the website about calling for the shuttle. Walked to the restaurant in the hotel to eat and ordered our food asked for our meat to be cooked medium rare but it was cooked almost raw. The receptionist speak English but the restaurant staff DOES not speak English. My overall stay was great. I can’t rate any other part of the hotel because I only stayed one night. I was able to use the shuttle to return to the airport. I give this hotel a 5 stars on cleanliness.

Quiet area, close to metro
Reviewed 3 months ago

For someone wanting a hotel close to the airport, there are better options. (More about that at the end). However, for someone wanting a hotel away from the noise of central Madrid, but still convenient for tourist attractions, this works pretty well. It is in a quiet area, it's only about a three block (300 m) walk to the metro stop, and central Madrid is a 20 to 25 minute metro ride. This is also a good option if you have a car, as the hotel is away from the busy traffic of central Madrid. Access from the freeway is complicated, but your GPS will eventually get you here.

We stayed here twice, at the beginning and end of the trip, once in 'executive' rooms and once in the standard rooms. The standard and executive rooms appear to be the same size, both quite spacious, but the executive rooms seem to have been recently renovated with a blue and white colour scheme, whereas the standard rooms have a brown colour scheme and look a bit more worn. If the cost difference is not significant when you book, I'd recommend the executive rooms as they feel fresher.

The breakfast was always good, and there were many selections, but service varied depending on the day. One day they appeared to be understaffed, and many items were not being refilled on the buffet table as they were used up; the other days, the restaurant was well-staffed and items were replenished as needed.

All of the front-desk staff that we dealt with could speak English, with fluency varying from good to excellent.

Regarding the shuttle, of the three of us only one ended up using the shuttle FROM the airport to the hotel, as you need to call them when you arrive, otherwise it will never show up. If you don't have a cell phone that works in Europe, calling won't be possible. The one person who did use the shuttle from the airport found a payphone at the terminal and called from there. However, we all used it to travel back to the airport, and it worked well for that. It needs to be booked the day before, and may fill up, so book early.

Having said that, there are several hotels that have shuttles that regularly travel in a loop through the airport and don't require booking (eg. Hilton, Marriot, also I think the Ibis), so if proximity to the airport is your primary criteria those are better options. Even the taxi driver that took me to the hotel thought so, as he first went to the main area of airport hotels (much closer to the airport) before he realized that this hotel is much further from the airport than most of the other airport hotels.

All in all, though, this hotel served very well. I would stay here again.
