How to Get There
A hotel along a busy, cosmopolitan avenue with an outdoor restaurant in front which was great for people watching. Almost right across the street is the El Retiro Park, which is vast and beautiful. Our room was in the rear so no street noise, but it was a bit dark. The room was quite large, had seating as well as the king sized bed and large bathroom, plus closet area. Only complaint is that the bathroom did not have a door. This seems to be a new trend in hotels..a frosted glass door to the shower, also to the toilet and then the sinks open to the bedroom. Not especially private or closed if anyone else in the room might be sleeping. The management was extremely accommodating in helping to solve this for us, showing us alternate rooms and eventually bringing a large screen from another area in the hotel to separate the bath from the bedroom. Definitely can recommend this hotel.
lacking a good finishing in many areas. If they would have been better focused on the 'final touch' building the nice Hotel I would give them a full house. The contractor or the management should have been more strict. its a pitty for such an good hotel. The Rooftop bar was nice and the service there so as from the hotel staff was suberb
Just returned from a weekend girls trip and we were very happy on the hotel. The rooms were clean and well presented (despite having an ugly view of brick work so looking it off your window was like a prison!) Reception staff were professional and helpful. The roof terrace looked as good as the pictures. Only negatives were only 8 sunbeds which made it impossible to get one and the bar service was TERRIBLE!!!! It was incredibly slow to get a drink.
Location was good being opposite Retiro Park and only €10 for a 5 seater cab to wherever we needed to get to.
All in all, recommended.
From outside, the hotel looks unspectacular and not so attractive. From inside, things totally change! it has also a great roof-top bar with pool. Highly recommended for an night cap! Sadly, service stopped already at midnight.
Classy contemporary hotel with stunning top-floor view of central Madrid including the magnificent Retiro park. Very friendly staff. Walking distance to top museums including the Prado. Easy walking to the shops around Gran Via. Breakfast very satisfying.
