Excellent Service
Reviewed 4 days ago

Excellent service, very nice location. 20 min walk to Gran Via with all the shops and restaurants. Safe area, lots of food options and some tourist attractions around.

Breakfast was one of my favourites. I love their fried egg in a cast-iron. I thought that was very unique.

Rooms were spacious and clean. No issues.

Would stay again

Excellent attention by all employees and good drinks and a wonderful Madrid view. Atmosphere is excellent and really close to park el retiro. Miki the waitress provides a 10 point service. Good choice to hang out with friends.

Gem of a Hotel!

My Husband and I booked a short city break in Madrid at the H10 Hotel (Puerta de Alcala) which is a straight 30 minutes on the metro directly from Madrid Airport. Upon arrival we received a warm welcome from Eva and Janice at the front desk and helpful service from Jorge, who took our luggage to our room. I must say we were pleasantly surprised at the high standard of our room, the hotel and how lovely it smelt. In fact this beautiful fragrance continued throughout the hotel, it was consistent and made such a difference. During our two night stay, we were very happy with the location of the hotel, as it is close to the City Centre by either walking or using the metro.

On our last day we had drinks on the rooftop cocktail bar, with lovely views of Madrid town and snow capped mountains in the distance. A special thank you to the rooftop bar staff who went out of their way to cater to our requests. Particularly when we wanted to grab a bite before departing for the airport. The pizza, club sandwich & fries were really appreciated.

We will most definitely be returning to the H10 Hotel - Puerta de Alcala!

A good room with outstanding service

I booked a classic room for a few days for me and my partner, and it was not disappointing nor overwhelming. The bathroom was not in the best shape tho, with some mold on the ceiling and the water in the shower being a bit too warm. The bed was really big tho, and the room spacious enough for both of us to be comfortable. The room was interior and didn't have the best view, but it wasn't something that bothered us. If it is an issue for you I strongly recommend you to get a room with a view for a bit extra.

The staff of the hotel was the real star of the place, since the first moment I did the check in, when they apologised for the hotel to be fully booked and not being able to upgrade our room and giving us suggestions for the area, the chambermaids cleaning our room at late hours and leaving water and chocolates, and getting a taxi to the airport booked when we left. Please, keep taking care of your staff.

Service below expectations

Service is way below what you would expect from a 4star hotel in Madrid. Shrugging shoulders and providing service with reluctance was disappointing.

Also, basic rooms are horrendous. We were given an appalling 12 sqm space overlooking a stone wall where we could not even fit the baby stroller.
