With far-reaching views over Playa del Inglés and its golden sand dunes, beaming blue sea and fringe of mountains, Bohemia Suites & Spa is a five-star boutique hotel painstakingly designed down to the very last detail. They don’t want you to feel like a tourist but rather, a guest in a friend’s home.
The hotel’s interior makes the most of natural light, which plays cleverly with the architecture – strong, neat lines and gentle curves with a smattering of bold colors. Windows open up to the ocean air and leafy palms – the outdoor palette complementing the inner.
At this adults-only hotel, you’ll find a gym and Siam Spa, where you can enjoy aromatherapy and Thai-inspired treatments aplenty. You can even try your hand at a little Tai Chi. The rooftop restaurant and the attached lounge are both the perfect places to watch the sun set, or perhaps you’d prefer the beach, just steps away.
How to Get There
At first we were shocked by some construction works being carried out in a hotel nearby. We had already been informed by our agency. Although this is not Bohemia's fault we were allocated far from the side of the construction works and our stay was not affected. It seems all the big noise was over already during our stay. In addition, they let us use the Wellness Spa free of charge which was a very relaxing experience.
The staff is very attentive and the food is great. More hotels like this should be built in Playa del Ingles.
A hotel that stands out of the others in the neighbourhood. Services with a smile and the smile is everywhere. The staff is very friendly and services minded from the reception to the bar and the spa.
The room is very clean and nice. The location is close to the beach but the hotel offers nice facilities if you want to stay close to "home"
We stayed for 10 days at the Bohemia Suites and Spas. We reserved a Junior Suite with Ocean view as a special treat for our honeymoon. The room is clean and well maintained with spectacular of ocean view. The room is spacious with a walk in closet, thick pannel glass door and blackout curtains. The hotel staffs are super friendly and helpful. We were provided with an Android tablet for internet tethering (outside the hotel and on the beach). The housekepper service are offfered twice a day. The hotel also provide towels for the beach. The Breakfast are complimentary on the 8th floor at the 360 degree restaurant (with a beautiful ocean and mountain views - highly recommeded guests to try out the restautant dinner selection). The hotel location is 5 min walk from Yumbo Center and nearby is a mid size local supper market /grocergy (2 min walks) for any misc items (sun block and energy drinks). The hotel offered free drinks upon check in and the pool decorared as high end resort get away. Compared to the other hotels on the island this hotel is modern and well upkeep. Defintely coming back next year.
We specifically booked this hotel because of the amazing description and pictures of the Junior Corner Suite on the website. This was not a cheap option and was essentially the second most expensive level of accommodation. What a huge disappointment. The room was on the 3rd floor and the view from the main balcony was obscured by a 5 storey building opposite which made the room dark and blocked the promised Ocean View. The second balcony overlooked the neighbouring hotel which was undergoing a total refurbishment with building works from 7.30am to 6pm.
After a lot of discussions we were moved the next day to a Junior suite on a higher floor. This was a cheaper room ,smaller without a bath but at least had the promised Ocean view. We were not offered any compensation to reflect the difference in price or the upset.
The hotel itself is a good hotel, breakfast in the 360 restaurant was amazing and the staff lovely. The food in the evenings though was really disappointing and very expensive.
The Spa was fabulous with great treatments and service
Do not go to this hotel until you check whether the adjacent building work is finished. My holiday was ruined by it and I was not informed by either Jet 2 or the hotel. Potentially, a great (and expensive) holiday was destroyed by cranes, pile drivers and articulated lorries1
