With far-reaching views over Playa del Inglés and its golden sand dunes, beaming blue sea and fringe of mountains, Bohemia Suites & Spa is a five-star boutique hotel painstakingly designed down to the very last detail. They don’t want you to feel like a tourist but rather, a guest in a friend’s home.
The hotel’s interior makes the most of natural light, which plays cleverly with the architecture – strong, neat lines and gentle curves with a smattering of bold colors. Windows open up to the ocean air and leafy palms – the outdoor palette complementing the inner.
At this adults-only hotel, you’ll find a gym and Siam Spa, where you can enjoy aromatherapy and Thai-inspired treatments aplenty. You can even try your hand at a little Tai Chi. The rooftop restaurant and the attached lounge are both the perfect places to watch the sun set, or perhaps you’d prefer the beach, just steps away.
How to Get There
We stayed in the Bohemia for six nights and it definitely lived up to its reviews. All the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and the room was very comfortable and roomy. Breakfast in the 8th floor restaurant was delicious with breathtaking views over the beach and ocean. We never dinned in the restaurant, so I can’t comment on that.
I am in my fifties and am a permanent wheelchair/scooter user, so an adapted room is essential, the room at the Bohemia was one of the best I have used, level wheel in shower, raised basin for me and one for my wife, which was much appreciated. Balcony overlooking the sea with no step. Plenty of room beside the bed. The staff were always on hand to help.
The only down side is that it is in the middle of a very busy resort which was a bit of a shock and took some getting used to.
The reason the resort is so busy is because the beach is magnificent and runs for 3 miles. I hired a bigger scooter locally which, with a bit of local help, I managed to drive on and off the beach most days, which meant we could escape the worst of the crowds.
Stayed in this lovely hotel for 7 nights....the location was fabulous with amazing views from the 8th floor restaurant making each mornings breakfast a delight! The food at breakfast was also very good with great choices. A lovely host looked after everyone with a welcoming morning smile. The welcome on check in was also stand out....the young receptionist ensuring we had all the information we needed over a lovely welcome drink.
The junior suite was amazing....definitely worth the extra as was so spacious and the double sun lounger on the balcony became a favourite spot. Bed soooo comfy and we literally had everything we needed.
Spa treatments were very good, wellness facilities on floor -1 wonderful .....we spent a morning here with saunas/steam room and pool to ourselves.
Loved being a stones throw from beach, dunes and restaurants/shops.
Only negative was the food at dinner....glad we chose against the half board option.
The cocktail bar was a lovely place to relax at the end of a hard days sunbathing 😉.
Like the hotell, good breakfast, nice people who work her, but the resturant food was not good. We ere 4 people esting. The staff in the resturant was not polite, snd the service was really slow up here.
We arrived at the hotel and found the staff excellent very helpful and friendly. The Rooms although very clean we found on the small side. The views from the 3rd floor room were amazing. Pool areas very good and no problems with sun beds at all As the hotel was not full when we stayed. Breakfast was amazing the food the views and the service no faults at all (apart from I like my China cups). The hotel is situated in a very good place for getting about. The only down side to our stay was wardrobe space and lack of drawer space it is probably a hotel people go to for short stays so 3 weeks luggage was a squeeze. The cocktail bar on the top floor had amazing views and good entertainment unfortunately the wait for drinks was sometimes too long.
Everything about the hotel was great only thing the food at the 360 restaurant wasn’t really to my liking I think it could’ve been better as well as the drinks the room and the ocean view was amazing great hotel
