After our 7th trip here, this one was disappointing
Reviewed 20 hours ago

We've had memorable family trips to this hotel. Location and amenities for both beach and city are ideal. Ideal. But this trip, just my wife and I, was very disappointing. In short:

(1) AC sub-par. Was not cooling adequately. Not hot, but not cold.

Uncomfortable for any of us that must have it cold while sleeping. I contacted the front desk and they brought out a maintenance person to "fix" the unit. When we returned (much later in the day), there was no change. Again, not hot, but not cold, either. The hotel offered to move us, but who wants to do that once you are settled, unpacked, and it being late in the day. We said no. They offered kind of menial points credited, which didn't solve the problem, but was better than nothing. Still, at a place like this, one expects more, which is why we generally stay here in the first place.

So, next day, we're out and about and return later to find NO CHANGE. It didn't appear that they had sent anyone to take a look again. But, why? They knew it wasn't working adequately? So, two full days of marginally uncomfortable temperatures

(2) cleaning service did not change glass wear between days (when they clearly needed to be changed)

Upon leaving/checking out, I mentioned this to the person at the front desk. There just didn't seem to be any real interest in our issues.

Honestly, there's alot of new competition in Sarasota. I'm a Hyatt Explorist-level member. While I'll still continue to stay with Hyatt, I'm not sure about any future visits. The AC problem was handled quite poorly, in particular.

I’ve stayed at better Hyatt properties.

The room was small. The toilet was in the way to the shower. The shower sprayed water all over the floor and the usual floor towel was not there. The lighting by the sink was very poor and did not help my wife with her makeup.

Nice hotel

Nice hotel. Twice I have asked for a bay view and got a partial view of the bay but mostly of the parking lot. Staff courteous and helpful. Breakfast too expensive. Nice bartender. Overall a good hotel.

Extremely disappointed!!!!

Reserved a ADA compliant room 3 months in advance and confirmed via telephone 5 days before arrival. Selected this hotel for view and and best experience possible for mother in law’s first visit after moving 1 year ago after her husband’s passing. Planned to see friends and see her husband ‘s gravestone for first time at veterans cemetery. After 15 hr travel day, was greeted with “unfortunately we don’t have a room with wheelchair accessible shower available at this time.” No solutions offered other than apology. Had to request to make calls to other hotels for availability. No offer to pay difference in rates. Horrible customer service.

Stayed at this hotel for vacation in the Sarasota area. Great location to all local sites. Hotel has an amazing pool area so relaxing. Rooms well appointed and very quiet! You can use bikes, kayaks and long boards as it is on a cAnal. Lovely hotel overall and would return
