How to Get There
the Resort and staff are excellent, Location pro and cons, Downtown next to tin City but directly at US 41 so a bit heavy traffic.
Marina worst ever experienced, during three visits, only once got help at Docking, twice nobody came to assist, although called twice on 16 and 68, when reported only excuses.
Next no pump out possible, I had asked during two visits, but was refused pump out even though they pumped out a boat just a few Slips away. This Marina cannot be recommendet. Also care to be taken when entering/leaving, on portside when exeting the Depth is barely 3 feet, got stuck so stay in the middle
From the moment we checked in, until we left, our stay at the Naples Bay Resort was wonderful. Our suite was ideally located on the top floor, facing the marina. The full kitchen was well equipped, enabling us to have all breakfasts, many lunches and a few dinners in the suite. Oaks Farm, which was recommended by the reception was our “go to” for provisions, fruit and vegetables, seafood, and prepared food. The shuttle was invaluable in getting us to dinners out. The pool was perfect: clean and quiet. Our only concern was with the decor and furnishing of the suite. While magnificently clean and comfortable, it was worn dated and in a few instances, broken, and long past needing upgrading. The resort needs to make an immediate full renovation of the decor and furniture. We have reserved to return for next year, we insist that we come back to an updated suite.
Great stay. The staff were so friendly, really worked hard and service when needed was quick. Our room looked out over the marina which was really just boat slips for large boats. It was lovely to sit on the balcony watching the boats going in and out. The bed was very comfortable and the suite well equipped.
Great location but a lot of traffic noise from US 41. The rooms are large and comfortable and the front desk staff are very accommodating. The price per night is a bit high but there are a lot amenities such as shuttles to the beach and 5th Avenue and the pool complex.
Had a third floor King Superior Marina View room (#310) for a 3 night stay. It was clean, well-appointed and quiet. Loved sitting on our balcony with coffee in the morning or wine in the evening. It was a plus to be able to listen to the live music from 1500 South (restaurant) on the first floor. Used the underground garage self-park. Fitness Center and pool area of the Naples Bay Club was about a 10 minute walk away (hotel shuttle by request), there is also a small pool at The Pointe. You may use the Club facilities if waiting for your room to become available (front desk can give you keys). We opted to walk over to the trolley and take a 2hr tour to get a "lay of the land" and have lunch. Used Cafe on the Bay every morning for coffee, ABC liquor & Publix supermarket were short drives away. We were pleased with this location outside of Old Naples, you can walk or make a hotel shuttle reservation.
Property would benefit from a more stocked Ship's Store, branded apparel, and a lending library (one Barnes & Noble in Naples). A means to communicate your room is available for housekeeping would also be appreciated.
Caution if docking a sailboat in the marina, tidal fluctuations seemed problematic for deep keeled vessels.
