Poor service really let this once beautiful hotel down

I stayed at this hotel towards the end of my driving holiday around Florida.
The hotel was the most expensive we had stayed in, the service was the worst we received in three weeks.
We booked a family room but when we got to the room there was only 1 bed. I returned to reception to question it and was told the second bed was the sofa. This was ok because it was a substantial sofa bed but I do not feel it is right to expect a family with 2 young children to move a heavy wooden coffee table and make up the sofa bed ourselves. What are we paying for, because it certainly wasn’t the level of service. On all my dealing with the reception staff, all were with a young man called Kenneth. He was rude and clearly had never been trained in customer relations.
The hotel has a beautiful reception area and pool but is let down everywhere else.
The bathrooms are dirty and in need of a clean and redecoration.
The photos show the dirt on the bathroom floor and the rust marks running down the frame and the second photo shows the dirty finger prints up the walls.

Outstanding service!

My boyfriend and I stayed for a night while he was in town for work. The place is beautiful, the service was outstanding. Robert really made our short trip that much better. Excellent customer service. Highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be back!!!

Great boutique hotel

We just returned from our fourth stay at the Inn at Pelican Bay. The hotel is located in North Naples just across from the Mercato, a new shopping/entertainment complex and one mile from Vanderbilt Beach. It is an easy 15=20 minute drive to downtown Naples.
The hotel provides free beach transportation along with beach chairs and umbrellas and pool towels..They also have bicycles available for rental.
The rooms are well kept and attractively furnished. We had a large poolside room with a balcony. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room included amenities such as a coffee maker, refrigerator, flat screen t.v., terrycloth robes and slippers.
As in past stays, the staff was very friendly and helpful, ready to meet every need. The hotel charges a resort fee which is in addition to the room rate, which covers a buffet breakfast (with pancakes, waffles, all kinds of cereal, yogurt, among other items), wifi, etc. At breakfast and in the evening there is live music (guitar player or piano player.) The grounds include a covered patio which overlooks a lovely pool deck and jaccuzzi adjacent to a small lake.
This hotel has the whole package: great ambience, good location, friendly and personal service, attractive surroundings and comfort. It is far from the typical chain hotel, high end or otherwise. It exudes comfort and a personal touch.
