How to Get There
New staff was fantastic. Dale at the bar made us feel at home and gave us some great ideas during our stay. Only complaint would be maybe the carpets that are showing there age. Hotel was located near plenty of restaurants as well as the beach.
The good news is that staff was very accommodating. The bad news is that this is a limited resort, a small hotel, located very close to a busy US41 highway. The location is suitable if you are a boater. Otherwise it is a ~2 mile drive to the beach -- too far to walk with beach stuff. You can walk to downtown 5th ave which is the city's high street.
We loved our stay here! We chose it for the Tesla super-charger next door. Besides being a great value, this humble, a-bit-dated hotel has one advantage over all others: LOCATION. It is next to Fifth Avenue, where all the action is. It fronts on a super cute harbor (not Maine, but cute anyway). The harbor side area has recently added shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel restaurant is a bit pathetic, but its a nice terrace overlooking the harbor - and who cares anyway because of all the restaurants around it. We loved hanging out on the restaurant terrace, and wondered why in the world management would close the place so early (9?). The rooms are acceptable and the value is incredible. A renovation would lift room prices 100% for sure. And a decent restaurant would be a big hit. Hard to believe that this gem is so untouched. Beach is a short two mile drive. My advice: book it, and make sure you check the room before you check in, because it will matter. Parking is excellent. Pool is adequate (kids will love it). We will stay here again.
The Bayview Inn may or may not be right for you. If you like brand new, luxury, multiple dining venues, this isn't your place.
But if location is important, check this hotel out because it's perfect. It's at the end of Naple's Fifth Ave which means you are right near downtown the action, restaurants, shopping, etc...
You can walk to many attractions, or Uber or even take the free Slidr, a free electric car that will take you to must destinations in the area.
The view from our room looked onto a beautiful bay.
Great location, helpful staff, wonderful views, a pleasant stay overall.”
It's not a modern hotel with glitz and amenities, but the location and views are fabulous. The employees were all great and willing to do anything to please their guests.
And you are just steps away from multiple restaurants, watersports, tour companies, boat rentals. And they have their own big outside bar and restaurant overlooking the water.
There is limited closet space. No valets to park your car or cart your luggage (although valet carts were available).
Bottom line: Location is super. Price is right. Great views from your room or the outdoor restaurant/bar.
Only reason I gave it a "very good" and not "excellent" rating is because the rooms are in dire need of updating! The Lobby is bright and cheerful and one would expect the rooms to be as well. We rented a JR Suite for two weeks. The staff from the Front Desk, especially Michelle and Amy, to Housekeeping, Carmen, were wonderful. Food needs to be a little better and I believe it is going to be fine as there is a new Food and Beverage Director who has a lot of plans to make it a better place to dine. The Bartending Staff, Annette, Yousnel and Elena are the best! UPDATE ROOMS!
