Very good facitilies though slightly dated
Reviewed 3 days ago

We just came home from here. The pool was busy as it's the only thing happening at the resort. Im glad we were not there during peak season. All the restaurants are good though I didn't think much of the buffet.

Kids club was well staffed by enthusiastic and friendly staff

The rooms, while clean and tidy are dated in style and a fraction small.

The adults area was pretty good but closes at 5pm for private functions!!!! It had a wedding every night which meant no adult escape area.

Ivi restaurant was excellent in food quality and service.

The beach is very small and no good for swimming as is the case for most of the Coral Coast

Return trip
Reviewed 4 days ago

This was our 4th trip to Fiji and our 3rd stay at The Outrigger.
We came to Fiji for 10 days & to attend a wedding. (not on the Coral Coast )
We could not have been happier to spend our final 5 days at The Outrigger.
Warmly welcomed by all the staff, then on our return to our room after dinner we found a handwritten card from the general manager welcoming us back, thanking us for choosing the Outrigger again, along with a gift each.
Thank you very much.
As always the staff were wonderful, service was excellent as was the food and amenities.
Yes, as in other reviews it can be on the expensive side however when considering the quality of food and service, where the majority of ingredients are imported from this is to be expected from any resort .
Also as in many post you have the option to get out and experience the local area, restaurants, stores etc
If you research your trips before
Choosing locations there wont be any surprises.
Between my husband & I, family & friends we have stayed at several resorts in Fiji and all of us agree....
The Outrigger is by far always a good choice.

Wedding holiday
Reviewed 7 days ago

We have just returned from a holiday at the outrigger. I thought the outrigger was lovely but slightly dated. The wedding venue was beautiful. The reception location in the adults pool area was fab. The meals were expensive but nice options. Alcohol at the outrigger resort was very expensive. I suggest you take the bus into sigatoka ($1) and buy drinks at the multiple wholesalers at a fraction of the price. Loads of taxis waiting to take you back. Taxi prices from $10 to $15 Fiji. The adults and children pool areas were great. We paid $300 Fiji per night for the room. The staff were very friendly. Overall a nice holiday spot. Fiji tax is 25% so all purchases add up with the tax addition.

A wonderful family holiday.

We travelled as a couple, but also with my daughter and grandchildren. The 2 of us were in Room 204 - perfect location for the pool, bars and restaurants. I can’t fault our week at the Outrigger in any way. Kids club was wonderful - the grandchildren loved it - and gave us plenty of quiet time to ourselves, much of which we spent at the adults only pool with it’s swim up bar. The food, the facilities, the accommodation are all of a very high standard, but it’s the people that really make this experience so memorable. The Fijian people are so friendly and welcoming, and the staff at the Outrigger are the best.

Second visit, will return

The staff are fantastic people. Even the gardener we stopped and asked about the plants was so friendly and helpfull .
Spent a lot of time in the adult pool area. Swimming eating and having a drink or two.
The wind was quite strong when we were there, so it felt a bit cool, ( early May ). I think when we return again i will go later in the year maybe September.
Overall a great holiday . My son got married there on this trip and it was a fantastic wedding setup and served by a a great set of staff. One thing i noted was that although the resort was full whilst we were there, it never ever seemed that it was crowded or that that there were too many guests. Vinaka for a great holiday. Brian
