How to Get There
i stayed in a suite with my extended family. walking distance to a lot of touristy locations in the palace district. hotel staff have perfect English and room was big, clean and comfortable. Swimming pool is also great for small kids. One of the best pools in a city hotel that i have seen. Breakfast buffet is pretty low quality, but thats pretty standard in Seoul.
Our family of 4 stayed in the Orakai Insadong Suites for 8 nights over spring break. We loved the location! Insadong is our favorite neighborhood and we enjoyed the walkability of the location. Bus and subway stops are nearby. We could walk to Gyeongbokgung and even walked as far as Dongdaemun and Namdaemun. There is a 7-11 across the street and a grocery store within walking distance.
The apartment was clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. My only complaint is that the 3rd bedroom is small and has no windows, so it feels like a cave. Soundproofing is decent, and the master bedroom is quite large. FYI, housekeeping does not clean your dishes.
We did not make use of the pool and sauna, because we were exhausted at the end of each day of sightseeing, but this was a draw for us when we made the reservations. We also did not have the breakfast at the hotel. There is a coffee shop on the ground floor that we did visit several mornings. There is a 10% discount for those staying at the hotel. There is also a great restaurant next to that cafe called Hanuso.
Wifi is not included, which seems crazy for a city that is so well-connected. The only options are to pay for 2 days at a time or for the month. I hope they change that policy to include Wifi. Hotel staff were kind and helpful. One thing to be aware of is that a few of our taxi drivers had not heard of the Orakai, but we were always able to get back with no issues.
Overall a good stay, and I would recommend for families that want the extra space and want to stay in Insadong.
I was traveling solo and my room was beyond huge: they gave me a double bedroom way bigger than my apartment. Check-in was a breeze, took maybe five minutes. The hotel was clean and well kept. It was also very quiet. It was a short walk to a couple bus and subways lines. And I was easily able to walk to Gyeongbokhung and Changdeokgung palaces. My only complaint is that the elevators can be a little slow, but that's not really much of a complaint.

living room with TV.
Housekeeping/reception efficient service Overall a pleasant experience .
This hotel offers big apartments with full facilities like gym, swimming pool. It is close to MRT Jongno 3 and Anguk but it is a little bit tricky to find this place from the beginning. The Jongno 3 exit 4 and 5 can lead to the hotel bus you should use exit 4 with lifts. The hotel is the same building with Coffee Bean, and a Korean Restaurant and close to Insadong street foods stalls. Very typical of Seoul local restaurants. Try to explore small alleys in this area to find good eating places. The hotel offers charged breakfast and wifi.
