Great Location, Amazing staff, good property

Great location in gangnam area
The property has been renovated very well
Staff are fantastic really attentive and going the extra mile they helped me source somethings for work and gave great recommendations for restaurants.
The room is nice, they do upgrade for Platinum SPG members try to get one with a balcony you get an amazing view of the city.
Gym is great, they have all the equipment you need and they have good PT if you need some help.
Food n Beverage was fantastic! Local cuisine is the best try one of the soups the bar at the lobby is expensive that would be the downfall would recommend going to a cocktail bar or whiskey bar near by.
Overall, one of the best 5 star hotels in Seoul I used to stay at Westin Chousun & JW Marriott but the management was horrible and never acknowledge members can not speak more highly of this hotel and the management are doing an amazing job!

Amazing facility and excellent service

I have been SPG member for almost 4 years and I had an amazing time and awesome service from the staff. I stayed here for 6 nights in late October for 6 nights in the Executive Suite for work. Club lounge has extensive menu for breakfast and light dinner and staff were very professional and so personable.Even there was a chef at all times to greet the customers and I even took the photo with him as he was so lovely. On my last day of staying, club lounge staff wrote me a hand-written card with a few comments which made me so moved and made my heart melt. Love this hotel and staff members and I highly recommend this hotel!!

Extremely satisfied

Stayed there for 7 nights in the Executive Suite for business trip. The service was very friendly and helpful.

The lounge was also very good with a small meeting room which you can use for two hours which was very handy.

The sauna was excellent, the gym was also quite good (although a bit small).

I had to ask for a spare monitor so that I could work in the room when dealing with US clients. I knew it was a hard ask, but they actually did lend me a brand new monitor which was absolutely mind-blowing.

Laundry service is extremely fast. Which is a big plus.

Since it's so close to work as well this hotel will now be my choice of accommodation for all Korea business trips.

Only negative was that some of the floor staff who were above 40+ were hesitant to say hello first since I am younger. But I guess it's the Korean age culture thing. Only mentioning this as I'm a type of person that says hello to all the staff as they do such an amazing job.

Excellent hotel

Highly recommend staying at this hotel - great location and service. The team in the lobby are always helpful arranging taxis and a special thank you to Ella the concierge with tips for my visit and the nice welcome note.

The rooms are spacious and clean. Didn't eat at any of the restaurants but the drinks at the bar are good - shame that they close at 12 as we would've liked to have stayed longer.

Thanks Le Meridien for a good stay!

Early check in is a scam
Reviewed 2 months ago

Because of flight schedules, I was arriving at 8am, departing at 8pm the following day. Chose Le Meridien because the booking form included an option to ask for early/late checkout. After paying, I received a form email letting me know that they could only guarantee early check in if I paid for the previous night, otherwise normal check in was 3pm. I was annoyed by what felt like bait and switch tactics but had already paid and had a meeting in the afternoon in question so needed a chance to freshen up and ended up paying for the extra night.

When I arrived, I got my room key and went up to find that the maid was in the process of cleaning the room. The room which I had paid to reserve was actually occupied by someone else and I had to wait while they scrambled to find me another room. So, I would have been better off keeping my money and taking my chances because I ended up waiting anyway (and they still billed me for both nights!)

It’s not just the inconvenience that annoyed me, it’s the fact that they didn’t seem to see anything wrong with billing me for a room which they had not actually kept available for me. Clearly, I’m just a mark to be screwed for as much as they can get out of me.

The room itself was large and spacious - let down by broken fittings made from cheap plastic. Buffet breakfast was good.
