Overview

Breezy luxury resort in South Caicos, on one of the Caribbean's most beautiful beaches

The Lowdown

It’s almost always sunny at East Bay Resort, a brand-new luxury property set among an aquatic sanctuary in one of the world’s most sought-after islands, and the retreat is well aware of the generally cooperative weather conditions. As a guest here, you’ll be welcome to borrow a kayak or paddle board, as well as snorkel gear, or dive to the depths of the Caribbean Sea and see the famous underwater wall. Adrenaline junkie? Throw caution to the tradewinds, and try kite surfing. Deep-sea fishing and hovercraft tours are also on offer.

And when it comes time to take it easy, the award-winning beaches (a one-mile stretch of the protected Cockburn Harbor National Park), just steps away from your guestroom, are a more intimate side of paradise. The oceanfront pool is its own peaceful sanctuary, with a swim-up bar, light fare and loungers with a view. There’s also surf-’n’-turf BLU Restaurant, where you can order a seafood dish, enjoy the stunning vistas, breathe in the salty sea air and listen to the crashing waves – East Bay’s a resort for all senses, as well as all seasons.

Suites

Accommodations at East Bay Resort each showcase modern décor and plush bedding, with a cable TV and a spacious bathroom. In the suites, you’ll enjoy a contemporary living space, full kitchen and large balcony as well. Beachfront suites are 592 roomy square feet, whereas the One Bedroom suites up the ante with 688 square feet for you to stretch out in. For even more space and incredible ocean views, opt for the Two Bedroom Corner Beachfront suite.

Dining

BLU Restaurant offers delicious cuisine, from breakfast to dinner, and stunning ocean views. A diverse surf-and-turf menu features dishes like white-tiger prawns poached in mango frond, lobster fettucine and chocolate-amaretto mousse. For poolside bar snacks, Splash (a reference to an ancient mermaid allegedly spotted by pirates visiting the island) serves light fare, like a tasty grilled-vegetable sandwich and ciabatta caprese.

Location

An eight-and-a-half-square-mile plot of land that’s home to just 900 people, South Caicos is one of the most beautiful islands within the Turks and Caicos. Known for its perfect beaches, abundant sea life, magnificent diving, fresh seafood, rich history and reputation as the nation’s fishing capital, this tropical retreat is a dream for anyone yearning for paradise. The destination has plenty to see and do along its crystal-clear waters and among its protected wildlife, including water sports like snorkeling and kayaking, as well as beach-bumming on the sandy shores.

Feels like a exclusive private resort

From start to finish, our time at Eastbay Resort was simply wonderful. Everything from the friendly staff to the fantastic fresh food, they go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible.

South Caicos: The small island is about a 30 min flight from Provo. Beautiful beaches and friendly residents. There is a lot of damage to the surrounding homes due to the last hurricane, but the resort is in perfect condition. The area is safe and although we didn’t get a chance to bike around, there are free bikes to use and explore.

Resort: The Eastbay Resort is amazing. It’s like a little oasis in the middle of the island. The resort grounds are well maintained and buildings are practically new. They have all of the standard amenities. The restaurants were fabulous and the chef is quite skilled. There are plenty of activities, but you can also just relax in one of the most peaceful places in the world.

Hotel Room: The room is spacious, well cleaned and expertly maintained. It had everything you need to be comfortable. With a full-size kitchen as well as a washing machine and dryer in our room, you can pick up groceries (free shuttle at the resort) while there and bring less clothes and do daily washing’s .

The folks from Eastbay and the surrounding area are incredibly kind and welcoming. Special thanks to Jeremiah for showing us the area and shuttling us around.

Lots of room for improvement.

Beautiful place , lovely island but the management is quite poor. The hotel owner clearly has no hospitality nor business experience. Unprofessional staff in almost all areas. .......
Advise Cherif ....hire proper staff or sell it to business professionals.

Lavish Seclusion

East Bay is expectional. My experience was beyond what I anticipated. The rooms are nicely appointed, the view is incredible and the privacy is unparalleled.

My husband and I were looking for a place to remove ourselves from the busyness of a high stress job and kids at home. East Bay has just the right amount of seclusion. It’s the most peaceful and quiet resort I’ve ever been too. You feel as though you have your own private beach and pool but yet access to outstanding food and drinks.

Ian and Bert, the chef and manager, are welcoming and put a personal touch on your experience. Lincoln was fun to spend some time with by the beach. All the other staff is friendly albeit the servers could be a bit more attentive and outgoing. Small issue when you are in paradise and much better service than a standard all inclusive resort. The food is excellent.

The nearby restruants are also an incredible experience. Sunset Cafe has excellent fish and Triple Js has great jerk with a fun atmosphere at an affordable price. The hotel and restruants give complimentary rides or you can ride bikes.

The noise of waves crashing, palm branches blowing, and an occasional horse neighing makes this place one to never forget and return to often.

Pure Joy on South Caicos

My wife and I spent an awesome week at East Bay this June. The entire staff is genuinely nice.
Jeremiah, Lincoln, Ian, etc...and Bert, the GM.
The rooms are first class with all the amenities.
The AC worked great and the balcony views are priceless, especially at low tide. The grounds , pool and beach are paradise. Lovely white sand,
Sea grapes on the beach. Exotic Caribbean at it’s finest . Great restaurant, etc....
A winner on the South. Can’t wait to bring the
family back, Skâl, Mon.... 🏖

My girlfriend won't let me go anywhere else! (Not that I'd want to.)

The location, the facilities, the weather, the people...made the East Bay experience utterly amazing for me and my family. You can go to any paradise, but the hospitality of the staff and atmosphere of the resort makes this resort stand ahead of the rest! The rooms were clean and beautiful, the food was excellent; I think we literally had a perfect vacation. It is hard to mention all of the perks, it was really an experience that changes what you expect out of a vacation. We stayed in August of 2018 and are heading back in July 2019 to stay almost twice as long. The GM Bert is a great guy! Quite frankly, my girlfriend and my 8 year old son won't even let me consider another vacation destination (not that I'd want to). Jeremiah shuttled us around the island at request, Yzadora served us almost every evening, Fannie was so pleasant tidying up our room, and Captain Willis really gave us a special snorkeling excursion. Just a tip...July-August-September is the "off season" so booking then means you may have the pool and the beach mostly to yourselves without crowds and noise. Too many perks to say them all here, just do yourself a favor and get to East Bay!
