It’s almost always sunny at East Bay Resort, a brand-new luxury property set among an aquatic sanctuary in one of the world’s most sought-after islands, and the retreat is well aware of the generally cooperative weather conditions. As a guest here, you’ll be welcome to borrow a kayak or paddle board, as well as snorkel gear, or dive to the depths of the Caribbean Sea and see the famous underwater wall. Adrenaline junkie? Throw caution to the tradewinds, and try kite surfing. Deep-sea fishing and hovercraft tours are also on offer.
And when it comes time to take it easy, the award-winning beaches (a one-mile stretch of the protected Cockburn Harbor National Park), just steps away from your guestroom, are a more intimate side of paradise. The oceanfront pool is its own peaceful sanctuary, with a swim-up bar, light fare and loungers with a view. There’s also surf-’n’-turf BLU Restaurant, where you can order a seafood dish, enjoy the stunning vistas, breathe in the salty sea air and listen to the crashing waves – East Bay’s a resort for all senses, as well as all seasons.
Accommodations at East Bay Resort each showcase modern décor and plush bedding, with a cable TV and a spacious bathroom. In the suites, you’ll enjoy a contemporary living space, full kitchen and large balcony as well. Beachfront suites are 592 roomy square feet, whereas the One Bedroom suites up the ante with 688 square feet for you to stretch out in. For even more space and incredible ocean views, opt for the Two Bedroom Corner Beachfront suite.
BLU Restaurant offers delicious cuisine, from breakfast to dinner, and stunning ocean views. A diverse surf-and-turf menu features dishes like white-tiger prawns poached in mango frond, lobster fettucine and chocolate-amaretto mousse. For poolside bar snacks, Splash (a reference to an ancient mermaid allegedly spotted by pirates visiting the island) serves light fare, like a tasty grilled-vegetable sandwich and ciabatta caprese.
An eight-and-a-half-square-mile plot of land that’s home to just 900 people, South Caicos is one of the most beautiful islands within the Turks and Caicos. Known for its perfect beaches, abundant sea life, magnificent diving, fresh seafood, rich history and reputation as the nation’s fishing capital, this tropical retreat is a dream for anyone yearning for paradise. The destination has plenty to see and do along its crystal-clear waters and among its protected wildlife, including water sports like snorkeling and kayaking, as well as beach-bumming on the sandy shores.
How to Get There
Beautiful resort, extremely private, wonderful staff all around - Kiethan (spelling) did our boat tour and was so informative on history. Sheriffe (spelling) owner was very friendly. Ian, chef was amazing cook - came out after every meal to make sure we were satisfied.
What a fabulous experience The East Bay Resort was! I was in much need of a work reprieve and to spend time in a stress free environment. People go on vacations for a multitude of reasons, but what ever the reasons are the East Bay resort was the perfect venue. Peaceful, calm, and fun when I wanted. Several things impressed me tremendously about East Bay Resort. The attentiveness of the General Manager Bert Nowack and the Executive Chef Ian Sarfin were extraordinary. They were visibly present for my entire stay and were so warm and welcoming every time i walked into the main building and the dining room. This is the kind of service you rarely see at most resorts. The staff were great and always had a smile and a warm greeting when ever they saw me as well I am a “neat freak” and they passed all of my criteria, and that is saying a lot. I loved the freshm home made creative meals that chef Sarfin and his team created. Food is so important on vacations and you won’t get any better than the food at East Bay. The infinity pool was serene and the walks along the white sand beach on he resort were superb! Mr. Nowak was one of the most responsive General Managers that I have met in my travels and I have been to many, many islands in the Carribean. This is a true testament to a what a fabulous resort should be and East Bay Resort hits all he marks. There are not many places I would like to visit twice but I am looking forward to visiting East Bay Resort again.
We have just returned from the most relaxing weeks vacation we have ever taken. We were met at the airport by Jeremiah who told us all about the Island on our ride to the resort. Our two bedroom corner unit was both modern and spacious offering an unbelievable ocean view. Fanny our room maid saw to our every wish. The beach is unbelievably beautiful. Angelo and Lincoln had our chairs and umbrellas ready for us each morning. The food and the wait staff were fantastic. I’ve seen some complain about wait time (island time) but we never experienced that. Josepfina served our breakfast with a smile each morning. Fiorellis we will miss you too. Make sure you have the Coors Lite ready for our return.
Bert who is the Manager and Ian who is the Chef joked and interacted with us on a daily basis. I can honestly add them to my list of friends and look forward to returning to East Bay.
If you decide to vacation there you not be disappointed
