How to Get There
We found this place online and they were doing a deal for Dinner, Bed & Breakfast which we decided to take advantage of for a 4 night deal. Firstly I would like to say the staff at this hotel are lovely and definitely make it a better experience. The downstairs bar / restaurant area is really cosy and well decorated. Our room had a super comfortable bed (I slept more than I ever sleep
At home) and the bathroom was well designed. We had booked a family suite and found it a tad on the small side compared to other places we have stayed. However, there were some nice touches in the room to welcome you - 1/2 bottle of champers and a box of chocolates. Plus the usual tea, coffee and cookies. The food is pretty good here too. Fabulous choice for breakfast. There is a large selection for dinner too and most of the food we had was delicious. But I would have liked to have a few more fish dishes ( without batter or breadcrumbs) and a few lighter options. Other than that we had a great stay and will definitely return
We had an amazing experience trying their Curry Night specials, lovely atmosphere and very tasty food, service was excellent, all the staff friendly, professional and helpful.
All in all a perfect dinner :)
We had a lovely stay here. Thanks to the lovely team looking after us. Martina, Steve, Vicky and the rest of the team was so lovely. Always cheerfully helpful. We stayed in Lovage, a spacious suite, clean and comfortable room. The lounge area was airy, light and has a friendly, cosy atmosphere. On a cold, wet evening, the roaring fire is blissful. The location is good too, 10 mins walk to Cabis Bay train station. a mile an half to St Ives, which is a short bus ride away, or a good costal amble. The breakfast is super healthy. You can use the facilities in their sister hotel, The Cabis Bay Hotel, where there is a spa, and outdoor pool. Having seen both places, I preferred the less formal Gannet Inn, rather than the more high end Cabis Bay.
