How to Get There
We spent two wonderful nights in this beautiful boutique hotel. Everything was perfect....from the delicious food to the most comfortable bed in the world. The hotel is exquisitely furnished and nothing is too much trouble for the friendly staff. We loved every moment of our stay and would love to go back again one day.
We have just left The Gannet Inn after a two night break. From the moment we were welcomed we knew we were going to enjoy our stay. Our room was comfortable and had everything that you need. Homemade shortbread biscuits on the tea tray. Spotlessly clean room and shower room. Lovely toiletries in generous sized bottles. We ate in the restaurant on the first evening and as we had enjoyed our meal so much booked for the second evening. The log burner added a warmth to the sitting area which has lovely comfortable chairs and sofas. Breakfast was a feast and beautifully presented, the cooked selection excellent. We could not fault The Gannet in any way and would like to thank Steve and all the staff who were clearly there to make our stay perfect. We have not had a more perfect stay anywhere else. Five stars ⭐️ doesn’t seem enough.
We stopped at the Gannet Inn on our way into St Ives. It was a Sunday and they were open for Sunday Lunch, but not bar meals. We said we really just wanted a sandwich. A couple of minutes later the waitress came across and said chef would do us a roast beef sandwich if we wished. We agreed and they brought out the most delicious sandwich with skinny fries and salad. We were delighted and what great customer service. A couple more colleagues joined us and enjoyed the same service. Well done !
Had a wonderful 3night stay for our anniversary. Everywhere was extremely clean, the food was exquisite, & the staff were very helpful, will definitely be back, as next time we would like to go & try the facility’s at there sister hotel.
Beautiful hotel with excellent service. Very comfortable spacious room which we were upgraded on arrival. Found the shower difficult to use but bath was good, though only had toiletries the first night. Had a Living Social voucher for 2 nights with one 2 course dinner and 2 glasses of wine - very good value. The lady who is at the front of house was so professional (sorry forgot to take her name). The breakfast was amazing with a great choice. The healthy cooked breakfast was very good so was my smoked haddock with poached egg, also had salmon and scrambled eggs the second day, wonderful chunky marmalade. There's a lovely lounge with very comfortable chair to take a drink or two before dinner. The menu was very good had the scallops - quite a small portion but tasty followed by hake in seafood sauce with langoustine and cheeseboard. Cream tea was yummy - non stop eating! 3 nights of the week they also have a special 2 course meal with glass of wine as well as the a la carte menu and we both had the seafood pie, wines excellent. Parking could be manic if you arrive late as the car park is quite limited. Was told it was only 5 - 7 minutes walk to The Carbis Bay Hotel - beware, it nearly killed us walking back uphill afterwards as it's very steep - go by car.
