Great hotel for a weekend get away
Reviewed 3 days ago

My husband and I had a lovely stary at the Gannet Inn last weekend. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Hotel decor was lovely, calm and relaxing and food was fantastic. Communal toilets could have been a bit cleaner but on the whole it was a lovely hotel to stay at with the added bonus of full use of Carbis Bay Hotel Spa.

Great Christmas Party

The food at the Gannet Inn was delicious, well presented and generous portions. Over 50 people served in a timely fashion with piping hot food.
The staff were friendly, accommodating and proficient. We would go back next year.

We booked here for the weekend and could not fault the hotel at all. Our room was very comfortable and spotless .Large comfy bed, tea coffee and homemade shortbread replenished every day. The breakfast was great so much to choose from. We had dinner one evening and it was very good. All the staff were very friendly and we loved the log burner and all the daily papers.

Lovely meal

Had a lovely meal here with some friends on a Thursday night for the pie and pint special, 2 courses for £15.
This was a great introduction to a smart new venue.
The food was delicious and the service very good.
I am sure that we will return soon.

We booked 2 nights b&b at the Gannet Hotel. The price was quite reasonable. This included parking, which is a bonus in this town. Travel in to the centre of St Ives, costs £7.00 in a taxi or there is a bus stop outside ( £ £2.40 pp accepts card payments). The hotel was very nice, our room the oystercatcher was very comfortable. It looked very new and was well furnished. With an enormous bed and a sea view . We booked a table at the restaurant on both of our nights.Very tasty food and good service. The breakfast was excellent, good selection of cold starters. You could the order a hot breakfast from the menu. A special mention for the lady on reception(she was from Solihull) She was extremely helpful to us with the local information we required. We would certainly recommend this hotel to everyone visiting St Ives.
