Fantastic accommodation in stunning location

We stayed here for a few nights in late June and had a lovely break. We stayed in the 600 block, lower floor and the setting is glorious and with an unobstructed view of the bay and the sea from our large balcony area. we really didn’t want to leave.

Our room was very large and well appointed. Spotlessly clean and every amenity u would require (lovely robes provided). The bathroom was large with a good sized separate shower area and then a big, deep bath tub (bath salts provided!)
Huge, comfy king size bed and a massive TV too. Table and chairs on the balcony which was metres from the wetland area behind the hotel. Maybe some blankets for use in the evening on the balcony would be a good idea too.

The reception staff were friendly and helpful upon check in and there is plenty of parking, steps from the rooms.

Communal facilities wise there is a nice looking spa on site, which we didn’t use so cannot comment on. A small but modern gym is attached to the spa which has 3/4 cardio machines and a good dumbbell selection. A peloton bike is also within the gym which was a nice bonus too. Once again lovely views out to sea included from the gym!!

There are two restaurants with some outdoor seating too. The menus are the same in both but the bar is less formal and has a few other meals on the menu like burgers and flat breads etc. There is a decent kids menu too.

Electric bikes are available for free from reception area.

The beach is literally a few minutes walk from the hotel and a walk down to the far end and back is around 5-6 km and a lovely stroll without the need to drive anywhere!

The surrounding area is beautiful too. We had a short drive up to bodega head and did a short trail around the headland which is a couple of mile loop. Well worth the effort and some stunning views to be had. We also drove out to Point Reyes national seashore which is just over an hours drive along highway 1 and Which I cannot recommend enough. The trails are all really well marked and present varying levels of difficulty. We chose the muddy hollow trail returning via the coastal trail which was around 8km and not particularly strenuous. There was a real mixture of terrain and lunch on the beach was great. We even came across a couple of coyotes on the way!

Our stay here was great and I would highly recommend a visit to anyone. The hotel and location were stunning and incredibly relaxing.

An excellent resort hotel

This is an excellent facility in a beautiful location; the room was spacious and well appointed and the food quite good at the resident restaurant known as Drakes. We stayed here for four days of wine buying. Inarguably the location is a 1.5 hour drive to Napa, so keep this in mind. Also, this close to the ocean be prepared for cool and foggy weather whilst five miles inland it will be 95 degrees Fahrenheit - the Pacific Ocean is a weather maker.

First class all the way

We took over most of the resort for our daughter's wedding. The setting is terrific. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. The food in the restaurant was outstanding as was the service. First class for sure. You won't be disappointed.
