How to Get There
My husband and I stayed received a vouchr for the Bath Priory and we loved the place. We enjoyed an outstanding tasting menu at the fine dining restaurant (keep an eye for dress code!) and a morning at the spa, with treatments included. We particularly recommend the treatments and walking around the fabulous gardens! Lunch at the informal dining was very tasty too. The bedroom was nice, although decoration is old-fashioned and the mattress and pillows were quite uncomfortable. We didn't get a king size double bed, but two singles ones put together (dangerous soft division in the centre!). Very positive experience overall, if one doesn't much the high price tag that comes with it.
We (my wife, daughter and I) enjoyed another delightful lunchtime event at the Priory.
Starting with coffee and dangerously tempting shortbreads and chocolate cookies, we then enjoyed a a preview of the master class with a selection of 4 different canapés to nibble with a glass of bubbly. The group gathered round the utterly charming Executive Chef Michael Nizzero, who proceeded to demonstrate how to make the aforementioned selection of 4 very different canapés. Lots of fun, questions and admiration ensued.
Finally a beautifully produced 2 course lunch, with a glass of wine.
Thank you again, Bath Priory, these events are a joy.
I was so looking forward to this hotel, our travel agent highly recommended it, the reviews were spectacular and the pictures were beautiful. We decided to surprise our moms for their birthdays with a trip to England. I had paid for 2 rooms (1 double and then 1 upgraded deluxe). They messed up the reservation, the double never happened and the deluxe superior room I paid for also never happened. We ended up in the smallest room on the property. In fairness, they offered to show us other rooms, after the room that was in the basement, we decided to not look at the other one as my husband already started to shower and it was just too much of a hassle to change. I would have expected them to get it right from the start given the level of service they seem to be so proud of. The service is incredibly pretentious and the hotel very stuffy and fussy. We did eat dinner there and the food was also very fussy. I would NOT recommend this to anyone under 45 years old. The price was fine and we have no problem spending the money, the property is beautiful but we prefer less fussy and less pretentious accommodations.
My wife, 12 year old daughter and I stayed here in October 18 and have nothing but good things to say.
From the moment we were met from the car to the moment we checked out the staff were all excellent.
The room was beautiful as was breakfast.
The library and sitting rooms were warm and homely.
The spa was great, although there are limited access times for under 16s, but that’s not the end of the world.
I would not hestitate to return to this beautiful hotel if I ever go back to Bath
Perfect stay, staff were wonderful, so comfortable, we didn't want to leave. Bath is such a beautiful city and the Priory Hotel is perfectly situated to visit the city as it is only a short stroll into the centre through the Royal Victoria Park.
