Lovely inn

Comfortable room; friendly host; excellent breakfast. We enjoyed our stay at this inn. The town is interesting and we were walking distance from the main shopping area. God restaurant choices are also available in Bath.

Best B&B of our New England trip!
Reviewed 8 months ago

We traveled for 3 weeks in New England this summer and stayed at 5 different B&Bs. Kennebec Inn was head and shoulders above the others we visited. Rachel made a warm, welcoming, informative innkeeper and her rooms were very clean, airy, and comfortable. Clearly she loves baking too, because her breakfasts and afternoon cookies were scrumptious. The location was convenient to town, and Rachel made a number of suggestions to enhance our experience in the Bath and Boothbay areas. She gets an A+ in my book and you will not regret a visit with her!

Sincerely Friendly - Immaculate - Wonderful Breakfasts

My husband, son and I were in Maine for a wedding and had a very nice 2 night stay at the Kennebec Inn. Rachel was very welcoming upon our arrival, showing us to our room - the Captain Perkins Room - and giving us our best restaurant options for dinner.
We really liked our room - it was spacious, clean, nicely decorated and had a tv with ample channel selections. The beds were a bit high (I'm short!) but comfortable, with crisp white sheets and bright white, like-new, cotton quilts. The bathroom was immaculate - I've never seen a cleaner one in all the rooms I've ever stayed - right down to the floor and baseboards and even the shower mat!
Breakfast is served between 8 & 9 in the dining room - which has 2 large dining tables. We very much enjoyed our morning conversations with another Inn guest before we went our separate ways for the day. As for the meal itself, both breakfasts were ample and delicious - with freshly brewed coffee/tea, OJ, home made baked goodies and granola, yogurt, fresh fruit - followed by the main course. We had French Toast one day and Eggs Benedict the next - YUM! (Scrambled eggs for my son, who did not know what Eggs Benedict were and was not interested in finding out!)
Special shout-out to Rachel, too, for being so sensitive to my son's special needs - that was very much appreciated.
In my experience, it is increasingly difficult to find out of town accommodations with such an emphasis on customer service. If you are in the area, this is the place to stay. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

We stayed at the "Kennebec Inn" for 2 nights, while travelling from Boston to Bar Harbour. We enjoyed the nice and quiet stay at Rachels B&B. The house and rooms were very clean, what we appreciate. Rachel welcomed us with a bunch oft ideas, what to do in the arrounding, equipped us with maps, beach chairs, beach-umbrella and a cooling-box. We enjoyed a very tasty breakfast with homemade Granola etc. We felt welcome and would recommend her at any time! Bath is a nice little city, worth to visit, especially the ice-cream-shop, wich is crowded after dinnertime. No wonder, best ice-cream ever!

Wonderful stay!

My husband and I stayed at the Kennebec Inn while visiting from the west coast. We had a wonderful stay - Rachel was so accommodating and lovely and our room was comfortable and quiet. The entire place was very clean and felt like home. We would highly recommend staying here and hope to return!
