Overview

The Review

There are beach vacations, and then there’s Bora Bora. Here at the Pearl Beach Resort & Spa, bungalows sit on stilts man feet above the crystalline water of a pristine lagoon. But when you can go for a swim from your very own private deck, you start to wonder: “Who needs a beach?”

{“type”:”img-inline”,”src”:”/static/images/product/properties/2277/prop-57733-1338990914-full.jpg”,”width”:”275″,”caption”:”This family-friendly resort is the stuff of tropical dreams.”}That’s not to say that the resort’s beach is anything but spectacular. Rows of palm trees dip lazily over calm waters from a powder-soft white sand beach. You can take up residence under one such palm, frilly umbrella drink in one hand, book in the other. Or perhaps take a nap amid the lush tropical flowers surrounding the curving freshwater pool.

If you manage to rouse yourself, play tennis or mini golf on-site, borrow snorkeling gear or a kayak from the activities desk to explore the lagoon on your own, or visit the dive center or marina to arrange sailing and scuba excursions. Land-based exploration comes from four-wheel-drive island safaris and guided hikes up Mount Pahia (followed by a massage above a lily pond surrounded by coconut and bamboo at the resort’s Manea Spa, of course).

But the real challenge here is picking from among the 80 bungalows. Do you want to perch above the lagoon in a bungalow on stilts with your own private deck leading into the water? Or maybe you’d prefer a beachfront view with your own Jacuzzi? Or the lush seclusion of a garden villa with its own private plunge pool? Tough choice, but pretty much the only trouble you’ll encounter in this paradise.

Best stay in Bora Bora

Bora Bora Pearl Beach was the PERFECT hotel for our beach holiday. It keeps a bit of tradition as well, comparing with Conrad and Four Seasons. The staff is super friendly and we enjoyed in specially the turndown service. They upgraded our room for free with amazing views and offered a small bottle of champagne. The water is just perfect, you can find sting rays, reef sharks, turtles and coral (thanks to the coral nursery area). We've been in a lot of 5 stars hotels, but this was REALLY special for us. Also, we recommend to take the village trip with Okean Pearl catamaran, it looks amazing. Staying here was the best part of our entire Southern Pacific holidays.

Trip Of A Lifetime

My wife and I got the opportunity to visit Bora Bora in January 2019. We decided to make this our dual present for our 20th wedding anniversary. I was tasked with finding the lodging in Bora Bora. I found the Pearl Beach Resort from other positive reviews I found. I booked an ocean front bungalow that included a private “yard” area with an in ground spa.
When we arrived, we were greeted in the beautiful open air lobby by our concierge who proved us a cool cloth to wipe our face and hands since we were not used to the heat and humidity yet. Our concierge sat with us and walked us thru our booking. I noticed out Room had changed and was a bit nervous. She explained there was maintenance repairs going on to a couple bungalows near us and they resort decided it would be better to relocate us. They relocated us to an over water bungalow with a beautiful view of the lagoon and mountain beyond. That view you always see in the postcards was now ours for the next 7 days! There was no upcharge for the room and there was even a chilled bottle of champagne and two glasses waiting for us when we got in. What an AWESOME surprise.
The resort is beautiful. The grounds are well kept. The pool was clean with a beautiful view of the mountains and lagoon. We found everyone on the staff to be helpful and friendly.
We highly recommend the Pearl Beach Resort for your trip to Bora Bora!

This resort is in a Great location. It has an amazing view of the main island. The sunrise over the mountain is majestic. Watch it closely for the red colors that only last a few minutes as the sun is close to coming up. This resort has a Beautiful coral sand beach. Too bad it wasn't too easy to order food and drinks from the beach, but we finally worked it out. Three great restaurants and the food was very good. I'll be back!

Friendly Staff, Great location and Views to relax to

Traveled here on our honeymoon and stayed for 5 nights. We found the resort was perfect for just relaxing and enjoying our time. The resort is a 10 min boat ride from the airport as well as from the main Bora Bora island which was very convenient.

Pros:
•10 min ride from airport & Main island
•Good amount of free activities at the resort such as pool, paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, mini golf, and tennis
•Great views from the south end
•Very friendly and helpful staff
•Ate at 2/3 (not the sushi restaurant) both had good food
•Rooms were more than adequate & was very happy the room.
•Spa was great
•Free boat ride to BB and back

Cons:
•Though there were a lot of free activities, the equipment unfortunately are mostly outdated and not in great shape.
•Hotel grounds in the front was well kept but the back section up to the spa did not seem to be as well maintained

Tips:
•Booking the South facing bungalows you get a better view especially a night you can see the milky-way & more privacy, calmer waters during the day, & quieter overall.
•Limited times for the boat across the island & back to BB. Would recommend to book a rental vehicle over 6k CFP from the concierge, Gives you more flexibility & AVIS give you a ride from Base to town to get your rental so you don't have to worry about the bus.
•The larger restaurants on BB don't open until 11:30 if you want breakfast recommend eating at the hotel one of the local snack shops (comparable to fast food restaurants)
