Overview

The Review

There are beach vacations, and then there’s Bora Bora. Here at the Pearl Beach Resort & Spa, bungalows sit on stilts man feet above the crystalline water of a pristine lagoon. But when you can go for a swim from your very own private deck, you start to wonder: “Who needs a beach?”

{“type”:”img-inline”,”src”:”/static/images/product/properties/2277/prop-57733-1338990914-full.jpg”,”width”:”275″,”caption”:”This family-friendly resort is the stuff of tropical dreams.”}That’s not to say that the resort’s beach is anything but spectacular. Rows of palm trees dip lazily over calm waters from a powder-soft white sand beach. You can take up residence under one such palm, frilly umbrella drink in one hand, book in the other. Or perhaps take a nap amid the lush tropical flowers surrounding the curving freshwater pool.

If you manage to rouse yourself, play tennis or mini golf on-site, borrow snorkeling gear or a kayak from the activities desk to explore the lagoon on your own, or visit the dive center or marina to arrange sailing and scuba excursions. Land-based exploration comes from four-wheel-drive island safaris and guided hikes up Mount Pahia (followed by a massage above a lily pond surrounded by coconut and bamboo at the resort’s Manea Spa, of course).

But the real challenge here is picking from among the 80 bungalows. Do you want to perch above the lagoon in a bungalow on stilts with your own private deck leading into the water? Or maybe you’d prefer a beachfront view with your own Jacuzzi? Or the lush seclusion of a garden villa with its own private plunge pool? Tough choice, but pretty much the only trouble you’ll encounter in this paradise.

This place is amazing, you really feel like you are completely out of the world in natura paradise. THe look is very typical and the sensation of being on a polinesian island is truely fascinating. Service is super, the rooms are large and confy, I would suggest to get the water bungalows or the house beach, which have a great view and the sea is only a few meters away! :) Would go back in no time!

What a stunning property!!! Had eight AMAZING days at the Bora Bora Pearl!!!

The property is so gorgeous! The over-the-water bungalows are incredible, you walk down to a lower deck and down a ladder and are in the crystal clear water! The staff was amazing from the front desk, bar, restaurant, and housekeepers Everyone is friendly and even greets you in your own language, The buffet breakfast was fabulous! I can't say enough about the gorgeous beach and clear water!! Superb vacation!!

Bora Bora is the paradise. The resort is a bit expensive but people are friendly, nice, and everything is fantastic.
It's a place to be mindfulness, enjoy the ocean, eat good. But don't forget to leave the resort and explore the islands. There are really good and affordable restaurants on the island. And the Heiva (the local festival) is value for life.

Our favourite vacation! ❤️

First time in French Polynesia...We Loved Bora Bora Pearl Beach!! Perfect for honeymoon or just a romantic getaway like ours.
Friendly and helpful staff...special thanks to Maria the assistant manager for making our stay completely unforgettable & fantastic! Beautiful property with stunning views. Great snorkeling right outside each bungalow with coral nursery being developed we saw tons of fish. Food was amazing and fresh. Highly recommend the overwater bungalow or if you can, splurge on the premium owb or end of pontoon bungalow for fantastic views of Mt Otemanu. Beach very spacious with plenty of loungers, paddle boards and kayaks. Towel service in the hut next to the poolside restaurant. Pool looked very inviting but didn’t use it as the stunning crystal clear lagoon beckoned us daily. We will never forget our special outrigger breakfast and the lingering lunches under the frangipani tree. Main land can be reached by complimentary boat shuttle from the Pearl beach dock. We fell in love with Bora Bora, the warm friendly people and we will absolutely return to Pearl Beach!

Nice hotel but not luxury

We recently stayed at this resort in June for our honeymoon. The resort has a great location and the beach and grounds are very nice and well kept. The views from the over water bungalows are amazing. While the resort was overall nice we were disappointed with the condition of the over water bungalows. They were run down and outdated. The bungalows are in need of a major renovation and while the hotel was renovating some of the bungalows during our stay it appeared to be only cosmetic. I guess we expected that coming all the way to Bora Bora we expected the bungalows to be luxurious. If you are looking for a luxury hotel in Bora Bora i do not recommend staying here.
