Overview

A serene urban oasis catering to business and leisure travelers in the heart of Singapore

The Lowdown

Set in an sculptural building with shiny aluminum cladding and asymmetrical windows, this 41-room boutique hotel offers individually decorated rooms with a hip nature theme—think Pop Arty flower prints and vine-patterned wallpapers. They come with rain showers that have city views, Molton Brown toiletries and plush bathrobes, plus some free beverages in their minibars. The all-day casual Nectar restaurant serves Asian and Western food, while the glamorous Halo rooftop lounge serves hand-crafted cocktails and inspired Spanish tapas.

In the Area

There’s major retail therapy to be had at the malls and flagships on Orchard Road. To further explore Singapore’s off duty side, head to Sentosa island, known for it’s golf, beach clubs, and family-centered activities, or take in the island nation’s colonial history in the posh area around Dempsey Hill, known for its traditional black and white mansions. The nearby Singapore Botanic Gardens are filled to the brim with orchids, tropical plants, and locals taking a breather in the shade.

Wangz for a wheelchair user
Trentraplegic

Please note: this review rates the hotel’s wheelchair access only.

The good: spacious room including the bathroom, great service including delivery of my breakfast by staff after my brother tried to get me some from the buffet

The neutral: location-in between 2 metro stops, so a 10 minute walk/push to either; restaurants close by but nothing that struck us as ideal

The bad: having to go up through two different lifts is a nuisance; those small details that so very few hotels seem to get right like lights tricky to use for a wheelchair person and lack of bench space in the bathroom; only option available for wheelchair access was king bed or twins

Overall: Recommended.

First timer to Singapore

Amazing, fantastic and jawdropping is how i would describe my recent visit to Singapore. Met some friendly and helpful people on this trip. It was not an easy task choosing an hotel so many choices but when i finally narrowed it down Wangz was my go too. It was the boutique type of hotel that i was searching for and i was not at all disappointed with my choice. After a long flight i arrived at my hotel way early before check in but was able to do so after a couple of hours. Singapore was amazing and the staff at Wangz exceptional.
Thanks to all for your hospitality

Lovely hotel and lovely staff

Stayed for 4 nights. We were very well looked after and all the staff were friendly and very accommodating. We borrowed MRT cards from the reception which was helpful. Nearest station is a short walk away. The area felt very safe.
Breakfast was good with eggs cooked to order. All in all, a good stay and value for money.
