The Fullerton Bay Hotel
What We Love
- Gorgeous modern design by Andre Fu
- Well-thought-out rooms with intuitive control panels and mirrors exactly where you want them
- A waterfront location and great views of Marina Bay, especially from the chic rooftop bar
What To Know
- There’s no spa in the hotel, though guests can use the facilities at the sister Fullerton Hotel
- The Clifford restaurant is a high-end power dining spot, less well suited to a quick no-frills lunch
- Smoking is not permitted in rooms or public spaces
- Free WiFi
- Parking On Site
- Room Service
Opened a few years ago, the Fullerton Bay Hotel helped herald in the Marina Bay waterfront as one of the city’s new centers—home not just to a growing number of financial players but also to a thriving entertainment and nightlife complex. The glamour quotient in the 100-room hotel is high: A massive chandelier dwarfs the front desk, rooms have chrome accents and sumptuous camel-colored-leather Eames chairs, and even the lobby floors sparkle. Most striking of all is the rooftop Lantern bar, where the city’s smart set meets for champagne. (By day, the roof beckons with its pool and gym.)
In the Area
The waterfront hotel is one of the anchors of this newly cool neighborhood. Right next door is the dining and nightlife destination Customs House, whose offerings include Caribbean fare, modern Japanese, and an oyster bar. It’s also within walking distance of attractions like the giant space-age Ferris wheel known as the Singapore Flyer, and the new “Supertree” vertical gardens at Gardens by the Bay. World-class shopping is also close at hand, as the hotel runs hourly shuttles to Orchard Road, the Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, Suntec City, Raffles City Shopping Center, and other malls.
How to Get There
My overall rating is excellent. The rooms are a bit small but luxurious, the service is outstanding. All of the staff was very attentive to our needs, and the breakfast and lunch food was perfect. The location is right on the wharf and the views are great. A great hotel in a great location.
My first time in this hotel and it was worth it. Well located, beautiful rooms and great people. Would gladly go back. I found the onsite dining options a bit lacking, but it's a short walk to other good options.
This was our first visit to (brilliant) Singapore and we don't think we could have chosen a better base for our 4 day stay. The location is just perfect, sitting in the heart of Marina Bay and within walking distance of all the obvious first attractions that you would want to see.
Our room was luxurious, all the staff were highly courteous and efficient and the roof-top pool was a rare bonus when we wanted to relax after pounding the streets.
Breakfast was excellent and the one evening meal we ate in the hotel - the Chinese New Year banquet - was good quality and, for Singapore, good value.
We did find all the 'extras' in the hotel (e.g. drinks) expensive but then, as we discovered, Singapore is an expensive place.
Really happy though with our stay - great hotel, perfect location.
Service was impeccable with every details to attention paid - From wine service to service with a smile.
Cutleries and service wares was constantly changed after each course.
Small pr was conducted at the right moment without being intrusive .
Great teamwork amongst the service staff .
Courses of meals were timed perfectly allowing brief intervals between courses fir digestion.
Being a wine scholar and fine dining connoisseur, I would say that the simple dinner experience here had been enjoyable.
Keep up the good service. Compliments goes out to Sunny, Sivan and Naveen
This was our second stay at this wonderful hotel. Upgraded to a wonderful suite, large and so comfortable. We were met at the entrance by a Hotel Manger and checkin took place in our suite. The housekeeping staff maintained the suite perfectly.
Daily buffet breakfast was nice and the variety of food offers was great. We stayed for 4 nights and the only hiccup was the non-consistent service. Asking for a cup of coffee can take 10-15 minutes with the head server constantly coming by asking if something is wrong and we asked again for coffee and he or she would then go to a server telling them to get us coffee even if they were busy with other guests. The head servers just walked around, why can't they get the coffee. Or even serve when the room is busy. This was a daily occurance with various head servers so it was weird. Our last morning we were the first to arrive for breakfast and were sat next to the bar that made the coffee and we still had this weird behavior. Sorry to explain so much about a coffee request but this was the one and only annoying experience.
Otherwise this is the best hotel in Singapore.
