With a lush garden setting and glorious views of the South China Sea, the extensive Sentosa Singapore offers guests the kind of tropical-island-resort experience that’s usually hard to find within 30 minutes of a major urban center. Its features include 174 large guestrooms, an extensive spa, and restaurants that include the award-winning Cliff, where meals are served on dining platforms over verdant jungle. Although the full-service resort offers plenty of activities on-site (mountain biking, tennis, petanque), it also provides free shuttles to downtown Sentosa Island for shopping, dining and drinking.
In the Area
Sentosa Island is Singapore’s resort playground, and home to recreational facilities including two golf courses, the Universal Studios Singapore amusement park, a variety of beaches, and nature-based attractions like Mount Imbiah, where the impressive remnants of a British pre-World War II embankment remain. The island’s 50-plus dining establishments range from casual beach bars like the Bali-style Bikini Bar to upscale eateries like Joël Robuchon, an outpost of the famous French chef’s empire.
How to Get There
Amazing hotel in Sentosa away from singapore busy life
Very near to a beautiful beach 2 min walk. Beautiful rooms very good food and staff is very very good.
Shuttle bus free every 30 minutes to nearest mall Vigo city. To and fro
Lovely hotel with wonderful staff, we were made to feel extremely welcome. A surprise on arrival was the up grade to a "Junior Suite" which was wonderful!
A recommendation would be to take breakfast at the hotel, the choice is mind blowing!! In fact the food at the hotel was very good at all the restaurants we used during our stay. The hotel is kept looking immaculate with great attention to detail.
The hotel operates shuttle bus services to the mainland which are very reliable. There is also a round Sentosa bus service if you want to get to the beach and avoid the steps as well as to visit other attractions.
We will definitely stay here again.
I give this resort five stars even though there are a couple of negative points. Overall the PROs outweigh the CONs.
PROs: Fabulous grounds, well maintained; truly awesome breakfast selections; all of the staff goes above and beyond: a special shout out to "Khari" of the concierge staff who helped us get to Sim Lim square for electronics shopping (BTW: Sim Lim square is like nirvana for Engineers looking for gadgets...) There is a lovely relaxed feeling at his resort that made us feel welcomed and appreciated.
CONs: There is no coffee service in the room. You can go the lobby and get a cup but in room availability would be nice; NO jacuzzi in the main pool area. You had to go to the SPA and pay for day pass to use the jacuzzi in the locker rooms. This was a big disappointment for us as we enjoy sitting in the hot tub after a day of shopping.
Sentosa island has certainly come a long way from years ago. So much to do and completely developed.
Having spent a few days in Singapore running around we were pleased to arrive at this lovely resort. The grounds are spacious and thoughtfully planned. We had a Junior Suite which was huge - no views but beautifully quiet and comfortable.
The pool area is lovely most of the pool is very deep, which suited me but meant families all on one side. It is still an island in a busy port so the lights at night over the water are ships and oil refineries but it is a welcome escape from the city. The staff were great, thoughtful touches such as a lovely cake in our room for our wedding anniversary.
One gripe - drinks are very expensive - wine starting from $16 a glass. Ordered a real coffee at the bar after taxes it was over $11. We loved the Italian restaurant but thought Kwee Zeen was very hit and miss. Enjoyed our stay over all.
Everything is very nice and well arrangement. If you not have any plan for breakfast, i recommend to have the breakfast at the hotel. It has the peacock walking here. Very nice experience !
However I think the hotel should provide more water, only 2 bottle is not enough.
