With a lush garden setting and glorious views of the South China Sea, the extensive Sentosa Singapore offers guests the kind of tropical-island-resort experience that’s usually hard to find within 30 minutes of a major urban center. Its features include 174 large guestrooms, an extensive spa, and restaurants that include the award-winning Cliff, where meals are served on dining platforms over verdant jungle. Although the full-service resort offers plenty of activities on-site (mountain biking, tennis, petanque), it also provides free shuttles to downtown Sentosa Island for shopping, dining and drinking.
In the Area
Sentosa Island is Singapore’s resort playground, and home to recreational facilities including two golf courses, the Universal Studios Singapore amusement park, a variety of beaches, and nature-based attractions like Mount Imbiah, where the impressive remnants of a British pre-World War II embankment remain. The island’s 50-plus dining establishments range from casual beach bars like the Bali-style Bikini Bar to upscale eateries like Joël Robuchon, an outpost of the famous French chef’s empire.
How to Get There
Stayed for a night with Wife and baby. Booked a room last minute.
Check-in service was great. Everything went smoothly. All the staff I met was friendly and helpful.
Requested a infant crib and was told that it will be delivered in the evening. Need to call them again to remind them.
Breakfast was normal. Nothing fanciful about it. Staff was kind to inform that there will be mosquitoes in the outdoor area as it was raining earlier.
Had a walk around the vicinity of the hotel. Nice place. They even have complimentary fish spa.
Personally, I think the location is quite convenient. There is free shuttle bus to VivoCity and there are internal bus services around Sentosa. Overall, the hotel is valued for its price. Will be back again.
Had the good fortune of staying here at Sofitel and even better fortune of eating at LeBar restaurant. Beautiful food in a great setting and had the pleasure of being personally served by a young lady by name of Hema who apparently is relatively new , however her professionalism, appearance and customer service were exquisite , made our night all the more enjoyable. There are plenty of options for dining on Sentosa of course but when you are treated like we were at LeBar by the staff in particular this one young lady , it would be hard to make the choice of venturing beyond the resort on any given night for dining .
We chose to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary this evening at the Garden @ Sofitel. It turned out to be a great decision.
The food was excellent and the service even better - when they found out that it was our anniversary, Stella and Tim, the staff on duty, gave us a pleasant surprise when they specially prepared a mini cake for us. Special thanks to both of them for making the occasion even more memorable for us.
It was a lovely ending to a sumptuous meal, on our special day!

A last minute staycation as part of my birthday celebration, didn't expect much, but this staycation superseded my expectations X 10!!
While checking in and awaiting, a very elegant Ms Angela Looi, who is the Asst Guest Relations Mgr came up to me with the widest smile and greeted me. She expedited the check-in process, introduced me to the restaurants and spa services efficiently. Upon hearing it was my birthday, she offered to set up dinner and spa reservations on my behalf, it was definitely a good start!
My 2 nights stay though short, but the experience was lasting. Angela made all that difference, her service was exceptional, her efficiency and sincerity is definitely not a norm today. she's always warm and welcoming when we bump into her, she definitely understands the importance of her crucial role as a frontline staff, which many hotels overlooked.
The dinner at Cliff on 2 consecutive nights were superb, Mani's service was great, he knew his menu well, recommended all the right picks, impressive. Icing on the cake..privileged to meet both chef Simone and Carlos who curated the feast, delicious!
Left Sofitel with fond memories, and kiddo just asked if we could staycaSOfitel again, I say "why not?"
