An urban garden oasis on Singapore’s purpose-built resort island of Sentosa

The Lowdown

With a lush garden setting and glorious views of the South China Sea, the extensive Sentosa Singapore offers guests the kind of tropical-island-resort experience that’s usually hard to find within 30 minutes of a major urban center. Its features include 174 large guestrooms, an extensive spa, and restaurants that include the award-winning Cliff, where meals are served on dining platforms over verdant jungle. Although the full-service resort offers plenty of activities on-site (mountain biking, tennis, petanque), it also provides free shuttles to downtown Sentosa Island for shopping, dining and drinking.

In the Area

Sentosa Island is Singapore’s resort playground, and home to recreational facilities including two golf courses, the Universal Studios Singapore amusement park, a variety of beaches, and nature-based attractions like Mount Imbiah, where the impressive remnants of a British pre-World War II embankment remain. The island’s 50-plus dining establishments range from casual beach bars like the Bali-style Bikini Bar to upscale eateries like Joël Robuchon, an outpost of the famous French chef’s empire.

kweezeen sunday brunch

i attended the sunday brunch yesterday. the brunch was ultimate, there was variety of seafood, the deserts were simply delicious. I was served by Ms Kour. she was very kind to have arranged a last minute birthday cake for my husband. she was very attentive and friendly. she never stopped filling up our glasses with champagne ???? all in all, the brunch was marvellous!

Sunday Brunch

Absolutely excellent food at the Sofitel on Sunday - possibly the best food in all of Singapore. This hotel is a delight to visit. The hotel is also very family friendly, providing free balloons and bouncy castles for children, and the service in the main restaurant is superb - very friendly and attentive staff, in particular Saroj who always makes our experiences at the Sofitel a joy!

Elegant place to stay

This hotel is a lovely place to stay. We stayed with our family for a week and had a great time. The staff were so polite and helpful. Our family had a wide age range youngest 2 oldest 85
and everyone's needs were catered for, nothing was to much trouble for them. We dined at the 3 restaurants in the hotel each one different but excellent meals had in each. Lovely big pool, gardens it's like stepping back in time. We had various treatments at the spa which were all excellent. I would highly recommend the Sofitel to anyone wanting to get away from it all to relax, indulge and enjoy.
