Location is the only advantage
Reviewed 1 day ago

Stayed there for 3 nights for a business trip. I believe the only advantage of this hotel is its location.

I was told the hotel only opened for three years but the cabinets in my room seem old and turn to dark colour. The room is quite small, you can imagine the size of typical train station hotels in Japan.

Poor water pressure in the shower, probably I was staying on the 20th floor. The buffet breakfast was unbelievably few selections, given the price of SGD 35, other 4-star hotel could have much better service and much more foods.

Would I come back again? Probably not, unless no room available in other hotels in this area.

Probably won't come again

Excellent location but poor sound proof and low water pressure shower head
The staff could be friendlier
Personally I don't really like the design of outdoor reception. It gets cold easily when travelling from air conditioned ground floor to outdoor reception then the air conditioned room. The lift connection between ground floor and reception is quite slow.

Hotel staff were lovely, location is great and rooms comfortable.
Breakfast offering was not great for westerners.
MRT is across the road and plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.
Easy to have staff call a taxi or grab service

My favourite spot

Stayed at the Oasia Downtown Hotel on several occasions and absolutely loved it every time. Helpful, friendly staff, excellent restaurant, great brekkie, gym and rooftop pool, good roomes/beds and a very good location - slightly off the noisy town centre and main streets, but close enough. In walking distance to the subway, with a great choise of korean, chinese, indian and european restaurants in the immediate neighbourhood. Highly recommended for the quality conscient traveller, with still good value for money.

Retreat from the busy city

Loved the privacy and personal attention of the club facilities. Would defiantly return.
Great position right on the edge of China town and the business district.
Easy walking to lots of cafes, restaurants, and historical sites.
Loved our short stay in Singapore.
