An intimate, design-forward cocoon with luxury flourishes in central Singapore

The Lowdown

A high-design hotel near Singapore’s central business district, the Naumi has 73 rooms in categories like “Habitat,” “Oasis,” “Patio” and “Eden & Nirwana.” All boast warm earth tones, exotic woods, radiant LED lighting, 400-thread count sheets, and top-shelf technology. The public areas are inviting too, designed to be welcoming places to work or socialize. Launched in 2013, the Table by Rang Mahal restaurant focuses on Indian street food, and a rooftop infinity pool and bar with groovy wicker furniture aims to be a tranquil respite from the city’s buzz below.

In the Area

The hotel is a stone’s through from the Suntec Convention Centre and the Formula One track. To explore Singapore’s less fast-paced side, head to Sentosa island, known for it’s golf, beach clubs, and family-centered activities, or take in the island nation’s colonial history in the posh area around offbeat shopping district Dempsey Hill, known for its traditional black and white mansions. The nearby Singapore Botanic Gardens are filled to the brim with orchids, tropical plants, and locals taking a breather in the shade.

Great experience

The hotel was amazing with a great view on the roof. The hotel receptionist, May, was very friendly and showed us a map with the best places to see. Singapore is a beautiful city. I recommend seeing the light show by Marina Bay Sands.

Friendly and beautifully boutique

We were in the Naumi Hotel for a couple of nights after a three week trip to Europe. It was easily the best hotel we stayed at on the entire journey. Unfortunately our bags didn't arrive from Frankfurt with us and the hotel were so understanding ... organising with the airport for them to be delivered. I can't thank them enough.
The staff were superb ... extremely helpful, efficient and pleasant. I was even given a complimentary breakfast when I was quite happy to pay.
The rooms were modern and innovative with all sorts of items tucked away in all sorts of nooks and crannies. The bed was also extremely comfortable.
I'm only sorry my luggage arrived too late for me to take advantage of the magnificent infinity pool on the 10th floor which has a wonderful view of the city.
The location is superb ... in a street full of bars and restaurants ... within a close distance to public transport, Marina Sands, Gardens by the Bay and Orchard Rd.
It's not the largest hotel but its boutique-ness is to its advantage. The next time I am in Singapore, I will not bother comparing hotels as I'll be going straight to the Naumi Hotel.

The staff will win you over!

Great Hotel and Superb Staff!

This is a wonderful hotel located in a great location. I read the positive reviews on TA, and that certainly helped me make the decision to stay here.

I must say, the hotel lives up to their stellar reputation. The rooms are clean and modern, the location is centrally located with easy access to the MRT, and the Naumi’s staff is second to none—it’s what made our stay so enjoyable. Every request or question my wife and I have had with the staff has been met with cheerful alacrity! I can tell the management is doing a great job, because the staff’s moral is very high.

My wife and I loved eating breakfast at the restaurant downstairs, Besides all of the great things about the Naumi Hotel, this was what we looked forward to the most before we kicked-off our day. A big special thanks to Malar, the breakfast supervisor. I would rate her breakfast meal layout and staff a 5-out-of-5 stars! The daily rotation of juices was awesome, especially the green detox drink! It is the best breakfast we have ever had at any hotel. It really is that good! Every morning she made sure we were well fed and well taken care of. I would have overlooked the “Kaya” if she didn’t suggest I try it. When Malar was off, Rajes did a superb job filling in. Bottom line: Malar made us feel completely welcome and part of the morning Naumi breakfast family.

It was also appreciated that Daphne, the friendly hotel administrator, greeted us—and all the other guests—every morning and made sure the hotel was meeting our needs. Well done.

Jinny, at the front desk, was the person that checked us in. Her affable personality was much appreciated after a long flight. When we would come downstairs to the lobby, and she was working, she would always make sure we knew where we were going, and she would give us suggestions on where to go—especially shopping areas for my wife. She also introduced me to a great iOS app for Singapore’s version of Uber—Grab. Good stuff.

We loved our stay. When we come back, we will certainly stay at the Naumi Hotel again. Thank you.
