A sleek hotel in Singapore's upscale nightlife district, with a fresh design concept and lovely guest rooms

The Lowdown

M Social is a designer’s dream. Mirrored surfaces, concrete walls, steeple-like ceilings are just some of the design elements thrown together to create the boutique hotel’s avant-garde appearance. It is also designed by famed French designer, Phillppe Starck. Known for his quirky interior, architectural and product designs, he has brought his brand of urban style to this riverside stay. Though dramatic in appearance, the rooms are fantastically comfortable spaces. Guests pick from alcove-inspired dens to loft-style spaces, where beds sit on a mezzanine floor above the glass-encased bathrooms. The cosmopolitan-chic rooms complement a visit to the fabulous island city of Singapore perfectly.

In the Area

Located along the Singapore river, M Social is nestled in one of the city’s nightlife districts. But unlike the boisterous, party-haven Clarke Quay (just a 10 minute walk from the hotel), M Social is located at Roberston Quay. An upscale area known for its classy drinking spots, cheese and wine bars, al fresco restaurants and array of authentic Japanese restaurants. Here you’ll be in one of the city’s chicest neighborhoods.

Front desk was totally fine nothing wrong with my experience checking in and out. Room was as I expected, top notch. Clean and no problems at all. The tv comes with variety of exciting channels and service was good

Wonderful stay in a great hotel.

We stayed in Singapore in January in a different hotel on Robertson Quay and saw the M Social hotel during our walks along the river. We stayed for four nights in November and it was even better that we expected. We loved the location, the bed was so comfortable, the staff were great and we loved the room.
We ate in the restaurant twice and the food, cocktails and service were excellent.
We will be back and recommend the hotel to anyone who enjoys staying somewhere very modern and different to other hotels.

A refreshing staycation

Previously we stayed at studio m, this year decided to give M social for a try. Staff are friendly and helpful thruout our stay. As we celebrated our wedding anniversary and birthday during our stay, the management wrote personalized cards and vouchers were given as gifts. Thank you for the kind gesture. Room was cosy and clean. Just that the Queen bed is slightly smaller than studio M. Tv programmes are definitely better than studio M. The concept of the hotel is good! Very hipster feel. Just a gentle suggestion, it would be nice if the staff at front desk during check in, able to wish : "happy birthday".. As a guest, we would definitely feel more "homely"... But overall, we will surely recommend this hotel.

Girls trip to Singapore

My friend and I (both in our late 20s) traveled to Singapore for 4 days as a part of our Asian tour. We actually had reservations at another hotel but accidentally canceled them and the hotel suggested we check availability at M Social. It was about a 25 minute taxi ride from the airport costing anywhere between 17-20 USD. The hotel is modern and decorated nicely with a fresh smell. Everything is extremely clean. The only point of “caution is that the rooms are tiny. And I mean teeny tiny! But two females with 3 suitcases made it work just fine. If you just plan on using the room for sleep and showering then you won’t spend that much time in the room anyway. The hotel was on the river which was an amazing location! As soon as you leave the hotel you’re greeted by so many cute bars and restaurants and can walk the length of the river which has an abundant amount of shops, places to eat, and clubs. If you don’t mind the small space I would definitely suggest staying here.

Great sleep..

Nice, cozy room with duplex type with sitting room accessible by staircase

Very comfy bed and had a nice sleep.

Bathroom is small and the wash basin is inside the room which found odd.

Checkin and checkout was fast. The staff are very welcoming and they are supportive in getting everytime a taxi when needed.

Breakfast had decent spread and didnt try anyother room service so not sure.

Location is great by the river walk but a bit far from the MTR station by foot.

All in all recommended and would go back.
