A mini-city within the city of Singapore, the Fairmont occupies two soaring towers with 769 rooms and suites. Rooms range from standard doubles in white and beige to more lavish rooms with purple accents and details inspired by Singapore’s Straits Chinese heritage; all come with balconies. The spa is one of the most extensive in Asia, with 32 treatment rooms, abundant water and relaxation areas, and a treatment menu that ranges from a sea thalasso kur (bath) to Kerstin Florian caviar facials.
In the Area
Retail therapy is serious business in Singapore, and the hotel is located right in the heart of the shopping districts. The mile-long Orchard Road, with its vast array of retail outlets and mega malls, is about a five-minute train ride away. More offbeat shopping can be found in Kampong Glam‘s Arab Street, where merchants sell camel skin bags, cloisonné boxes, and colorful fabric. Chinatown is home to great, inexpensive restaurants, especially at the Smith Street Hawker Centre.
How to Get There
Excellent location - close to Suntec convention centre. Able to walk underground to all major shopping centres and food courts - Raffles City, Marina Square, Suntec City. Large clean rooms and portacot available for baby. Good for family.
Excellent location, newly refurbished rooms in the South Tower, beautiful beautiful views and balconies in all the rooms. You go down the elevator to the 3rd floor and you're almost at the best mall fastfood center in Singapore. You go down to the ground and you're a few steps away from the City Hall MRT.
Beware to those who wanted to come to this hotel for staycation as it does not provide parking coupon for its guest . You will need to fork out very expensive overnight parking!
I hope the management will consider this point as it is not unreasonable to provide free parking for this prestigious hotel.
