A contemporary hotel at the crossroads of Singapore’s business and shopping districts

The Lowdown

A mini-city within the city of Singapore, the Fairmont occupies two soaring towers with 769 rooms and suites. Rooms range from standard doubles in white and beige to more lavish rooms with purple accents and details inspired by Singapore’s Straits Chinese heritage; all come with balconies. The spa is one of the most extensive in Asia, with 32 treatment rooms, abundant water and relaxation areas, and a treatment menu that ranges from a sea thalasso kur (bath) to Kerstin Florian caviar facials.

In the Area

Retail therapy is serious business in Singapore, and the hotel is located right in the heart of the shopping districts. The mile-long Orchard Road, with its vast array of retail outlets and mega malls, is about a five-minute train ride away. More offbeat shopping can be found in Kampong Glam‘s Arab Street, where merchants sell camel skin bags, cloisonné boxes, and colorful fabric. Chinatown is home to great, inexpensive restaurants, especially at the Smith Street Hawker Centre.

Great stay! Will be back

Stayed three nights with my 2 year old daughter and husband. Room was amazing with a great single bed provided. Service was amazing throughout our stay with staff so friendly.

We had the breakfast included which was excellent. There was a short wait for a table one morning, however the staff worked tirelessly to get tables turned around quickly. The service at breakfast was great- friendly and efficient. The food was good too with so much choice both Asian and Western food. The omelette station was my favourite whilst my husband enjoyed the pancakes and pastries.

The pools were children friendly too with a different pool for adults so you did not have to worry about disturbing the people trying to relax.

Thanks to all the friendly staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

This hotel was perfect for our short stay in singapore. I stayed here bed and breakfast with my husband. The hotel offers all services you would expect from a 5*. The staff and service here are amazing. The breakfast variety and quality was just amazing. The location was perfect, a good distance from all the main spots. We had a view of the marina bay hotel from our room, which was just lovely. The hotel and rooms themselves were decorated well and kept very clean. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a fuss free hotel with 5 star quality!

Tip: download grab on your phone to order your taxis ! Its just like uber and cheaper than the city's/hotel's taxis.

Great hotel well located

We stayed with our teenage boys for two nights while transiting through Singapore. After Indonesia the food and quality of the rooms were fantastic. The gym was good but we never made the spa. There is a good lounge to use after checkout and the pool is available although often busy and hard to get sun loungers. A good option and value for money relatively.

Great hotel

Hotel offers everything you would expect - great rooms, spa, two pools, gym, varied restaurants, excellent breakfast and efficient service. Good location opposite Raffles with an adjoining mall. Poolside was quite busy so struggled to get sun beds but that was the only negative.

Excellent hotel in the centre of Singapore

I stayed in the Fairmont for 2 days when on a Business Trip to Singapore, being a ‘repeater’ having stayed here on a number of occasions. Being a frequent traveller to Singapore in the past, my expectations are set pretty high in terms of the excellent service and facilities that are an integral part of the hotel experience here.

Again, the Fairmont did not disappoint, being welcoming, attentive and efficient throughout. The hotels central location is excellent, within close walking distance of a number of tourist sites/lively areas and 5 minutes, through the Raffles City shopping mall, to the MRT station with only a few stops into the CBD.

The overall design of the hotel is contemporary and warm and there is a wide choice of restaurants both within the hotel (if you’re feeling lazy) and within a 5 to 10 minute walking radius. Breakfast was included within my rate in the Prego restaurant and was an excellent, varied and tasty spread. The pool area is relaxed, modern and clean with a good bar, the Gym is of a fair size and well equipped.

The rooms are spacious and very comfortable with really great views over Singapore. The bathrooms are large, clean and well equipped with free WiFi, a large, flat screen, electric curtains etc

This was my 5th stay at the Singapore Fairmont and it remains a great hotel for Business or a holiday and I would certainly return.
