Like Having Your Own Beach House

El Sol La Vida was wonderful - found the reviews on Trip Advisor to be spot on. We liked the rural setting right on the beach. Only 4 rooms & had beach/pool/jacuzzi to ourselves! The huge breakfasts prepared for us each morning made it so we really didn’t need anymore food until we were ready to go out for an early supper. Our B & B host took us on our our own private day tour of a couple of colonial towns in the hills outside of Mazatlan, to a gorgeous restaurant in the countryside, and to an agave farm/tequila distillery. Delightful! Taxis were cheap & plentiful, plus our B & B host was more than willing to run us into the nearby beach town of Cerritos, which also had some restaurants/bars. Ray & Linda have a perfect balance of being available for advice or a chat, and then providing some space so you can enjoy the gorgeous view and curl up with your book under one of the palapas. Your clients who enjoy being a bit independent, would like this place.

We stayed at El Sol La Vida the 9-18 of February and loved every minute. Our hosts, Ray and Linda, were very attentive and helpful. Their B & B is immaculate, and was a warm and welcoming place to relax, read and soak up the sun. Awesome daily breakfasts!

Luxury off the Beaten Track

Planning a relaxing couples getaway, that was neither a hotel nor resort, our choice to stay at El Sol La Vida was the perfect fit.  The room was luxurious, with a walk in shower and an ocean view balcony.  Our hosts Linda and Ray were very gracious.  Their professional propensity to be available when we had questions, then absconding when we desired privacy was wonderful. Both Linda and Ray were chock full of locals information; including steering us to a fun music festival.  Breakfast was top-notch, creative and quite generous.  Their little slice of heaven was a spectacular place for morning beach walks, or to watch the sun sink into the ocean, accompanied by their pup Bengy.  El Sol La Vida exceeded our expectations and we'll be recommending this lovely B&B to all our friends.

To living the life of Riley.  Cheers.

Peace and Relaxation right on the beach.

Everyone’s travel expectations may be different based on your own experience. El Sol La Vida is very secure, has 4 private, clean, comfortable rooms, a pool, a hot tub in an absolutely beautiful beach setting just a few miles north of Mazatlan. This reasonably priced boutique hotel more than exceeded our expectations. The proprietors, Ray and Linda are extremely welcoming, picked us up when we arrived late and even provided us with a meal and a cold beer upon our arrival. They both personify the relaxed living on the beach lifestyle. The full breakfast included with your room rate is amazing, a pot of coffee, yogurt, fruit plate, fresh bread, juice and eggs prepared differently each day and likely served up with some great conversation. It is very convenient that next door their daughter Leanne runs the Surfs Up Cafe, serving up great food and cold beer at reasonable prices. If Miles of beautiful secluded sandy beach 75 feet from your room works for you just imagine the incredible sunsets that you will experience and the memories you will make. My wife and I have vacationed in Mazatlan many times and this is by far our best trip yet. Thanks Ray and Linda we will be back. Barry & Monique

The place is great. It is just far enough away from Mazatlan to be separate from it, but close enough to access its amenities. The friendly and relaxed proprietors, Ray and Linda, have created a place ideal for getting rest and relaxation. If this is what you are looking for then I recommend it. The property is right on a beach with almost nobody on it, which was great. It’s about 30 mins from the airport so I would recommend renting a car so you aren’t dependent on taxis and able to do some small trips while you are here.
