How to Get There
This was our first time in Mexico and I am so glad we came to El Moro for our visit. We will highly recommend this resort to our family and friends. The rooms were very nice and the resorts amenities were great. Great anniversary trip for me and my husband.
The staff were very courteous and helpful. The view of the ocean and the other islands are a nice touch. We had to wait several hours for the rooms to be ready though, and the children were very impatient, but lunch at La Concha helped to entertain them. The fact that we had access to the other El Cid hotels gave us a variety of activities. The rooms were relatively clean, but my husband observed that the tub was slippery. We would have appreciated the evening shows more if they were in English as we are not Spanish-speaking. We particularly thank the staff at the front desk and in all the restaurants for their excellent service.
Wonderful stay right on the beach. Our one bedroom suite was spacious and looked out over the beach. Having two bathrooms made getting dressed for dinner fast and easy. Staff was extremely nice and friendly. The meals were delicious. I especially recommend La Cascada for Mexican food and El Patio for Argentinian food but the Italian was also very good. Having Mexican hot chocolate for breakfast was heaven. The pools were great. I enjoyed the adult only pool which was very peaceful. Pool staff were solicitous in getting drinks and putting up umbrellas for us. And the beach was just steps away. I would also recommend a massage. It was pure bliss. I will be back. Hopefully often.
The service at El Cid El lMoro Beach Hotel was just spectacular. I had no real expectations, but I got so much more than I could have ever hoped for . The services in every area such as maintenance, room service, maid service as well as every aspect of dining, was all great. There were no complaints at all at the hotel. The only problem we had was being over charged by one of the Pulmonias. Other than that, things were perfect.
The overall stay at the El Cid Moro was absolutely great! We received an upgrade which was a great start to our vacation! My children are still talking about the staff: The activities director Leo, Aaron, Ceasar, all of the staff at the kids club for 5year olds, Juan at the taxi concierge, Anna at the front desk, Raphael the workout guy, Heidi that fixed our waffles (yum)at the el Castillo restaurant every morning, was always polite and provided a beautiful smile to my guest, my children and myself! Thanks to all of you guys. This was just an awesome trip! We were probably only one of maybe 2 or 3 black families that were there and we felt very welcomed! The highlights of our trip was my children and I jumping off the cliff into the water, spending quality time with my sister in the adult only pool, taking a cooking class and aerobics classes; getting an awesome massage by Nora at the country club; the nightly shows were remarkable each night, because they really took you to another part of the world! It was very hard to say good bye after only spending a week there because of the connections we made with so many people. And let us not forget that we can say that we were present for history in the making with Mexico making it through to the finals during the world cup.
