Checking in a disaster
Reviewed 7 days ago

Checking in was a disaster as the first room I was taken to was dirty.2nd room was not secure and they finally found me a third room which was ok. There was no cooking in my room which I was expecting and I was forced to eat in the restaurant. Other than that everything else was great.
friendly staff and the grounds were very clean including the pool.

Visiting and enjoying this place is one of the most exciting experiences when you travel to a beach. A sunny place, wonerful climaye, great beach and sand and most of all, teh delightful seafood you can eat here: fresk, and presented in a very traditional, and impecable way, and mosr of all, great low prices! You have to walk aling the malecón wich is a street walk along the beach, visit the aquarium and the beautiful downtown area, full od fine restaurants!
Enjoy the sunsets, they are the graetest I have ever seen!

First-time in Mazatlan!

First time to Mazatlan! Excellent service and the location was ideal for our time away from Washington State. Convenient local bus service to explore the area. Friendly staff and responsive to our requests. We will definitely return.

Maintenance of the property

Overall this property was very budget. The room we were given didn’t have working phone lines. Full kitchen with no dishes. Best part was the front desk and Felix the best doorman. Beds were like sleeping in plywood.

It had the potential to be so good - but it wasn't!

First of all we were checked into the incorrect room type and when we went back down to reception to explain, they seemed indifferent to the error and made my partner email them evidence of the honeymoon suite that we had booked (should this not have been on file already?). There were no fluffy robes, face cloths or even a bath mat (we had to request these from housekeeping). The spa in the room was dirty (it was full of grit and hair), I ended up cleaning it myself before we used it. The windows needed a good clean too as the view out to the ocean was a bit of a blur because of the grime and sea salt. Also the food in the restaurant was not good. We were woken up to the sound of a digger the next morning (around 8am) that the hotel had booked to move sand, it was out there for a few hours. Hardly conducive to relaxation! The two positives were that the waiting staff in the restaurant were incredibly attentive and friendly (thank you) and the pool area was nice and quiet after the digger left (no music blasting like they do in some hotels - so we could actually relax and enjoy the sound of the ocean).
