How to Get There
This is an exceptional boutique resort in a perfect location in Siem Reap. I think there are two hotels in the complex and I stayed at the one with a private lap pool for guests (I did not visit the other hotel across the street so I cannot comment on that) but my experience was excellent. This is a beautiful, very well designed and immaculately clean hotel just a short walk to pub street and the colonial center of town. I got a garden view room next to the pool, which was perfect for me. There is nothing to complain about because the hotel is nearly perfect by 5-star global standards, but the service is so warm and genuine, which makes this a very special place to stay.
Siem Reap is a really cool place - the town is very walkable if you stay in the right area (and this hotel is in a perfect location) - with lots of small colonial streets full of charming restaurant and pubs and shops. The city is very clean and safe by SE Asian standards and the Cambodia people are exceptionally warm (more so in SR than PP, since nearly all of the locals are local vs the big cities where people move in from all over). If this hotel is in your budget, just stay here. You cannot go wrong.
If you want a large impersonal hotel then don't come here. This hotel prides itself on personal service and all the staff enjoy meeting and interacting with guests. The position is ideal as one can walk into central Siem Reap or the hotel will call a tuk tuk if you wish to go save your legs. The rooms are very comfortable with space to unpack and hang clothes (unlike other hotels where we've stayed where we almost had to live out of a suitcase!). The public areas of the hotel are not air-conditioned but this prepares one for the heat outside! The restaurant is air conditioned though there is also seating outside including the hanging seats where one can enjoy a drink or dine (not so comfortable for Europeans though one liked the idea of it!). If you require extra pampering there is a very good spa there and now a small gym too as well as the pool.
They can also organise trips and are eager to come up with suggestions as to where one can go.
This was the 2nd visit for my husband and myself and it was lovely to be greeted and welcomed as old friends.
We hope to return!
