La Residence Blanc D’Angkor
What We Love
- Get around by tuk tuk from a boutique hotel close to the Temples of AngkorCatching sight of the sunset from the hotel's pool
- How easy it is to travel to Angkor Wat from the hotel (the airport is nearby, too)
- The illustrated murals in the guest rooms of this boutique retreat
What To Know
- The tropical gardens are centered around the tranquil pool
- It's 15 minutes to Angkor Wat
- The friendly staff is all smiles
Angkor Wat, the grand Khmer structure that has towered for centuries in the heart of Cambodia is known for its otherworldly structures and fascinating mix of natural and man-made features. A stay at the peaceful La Residence Blanc D’Angkor will put you just 15 minutes away from its doorstep.
Stellar location aside, La Residence Blanc is a cosy haven and recipient of TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence. The grounds are lush with tropical greenery, all centred around a blue pool in the heart of the courtyard. Spend a quiet moment lounging by the pool and catch the sunset from a shady spot on the deck.
Inside, you’ll find each room to be chic and comfortable, the bedroom accompanied by a large balcony and couch. But what stands out is the exquisite mural that adorns the wall behind the bed. The murals are different in each room, each depicting a majestic piece of art or architecture from Cambodia’s history, bringing you closer to the Khmer culture.
How to Get There
Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in April and so glad we picked this place! When we landed Mr David, or fulfil driver was already waiting to collect us from the airport and in about 10 minutes we got to the hotel.
The hotel is well located: 10 min to the airport, 15 min to town and about 20-30 min to Angkor.
We arrived at the hotel at around 9am, were greeted by Laura and offered some tea straight away. Sorted out the paper work quickly and she also gave us a map and some info about the area. We just missed breakfast but they were happy to serve us from the lunch menu, which was very nice. They also managed to prepare our room early so at around 12:30 we already got our keys, which was very nice after our long journey. The room was big, the air con was very helpful in the heat, bed big and comfy, only the bathroom needs a little refurb- overall was happy with the room (especially considering how cheap it was). The breakfast buffet was small but everything was fresh and the chef made omelette and soup for you on the spot for order. We have eaten a few times in the restaurant, which was a hit and miss; we had very nice and okay meals too. The hotel has a swimming pool which is amazing to cool down in after your day at Angkor. They also serve drinks outside so you can chill with your beer by the pool anytime.
We booked Mr David through the hotel to take us to the temples - he did an excellent job! It might be a lil bit more expensive to book through the hotel but we felt like it was the safest this way, Mr David was very helpful, had always ice cold water waiting for us between temples. On the third day we hired a car (again through the hotel) to take us to Kulen Mountain; Mr Boran (not sure if I spell it correctly) was a great guide and he also took us to Barney Srei and to a local restaurant on the way back to the hotel.
We also booked a massage at the hotel - it was arranged on a very short notice, but as always nothing was trouble for the staff and we had one of the best massages! Highly recommend the Cambodian massage!
We also used the laundry services - quick and good service.
On our last night there was a staff party to which we were also invited and had so much fun! Definitely a unique experience- thank you.
We used pretty much all services this hotel offers and was not disappointed in anything. Laura and her team went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and comfortable. I can not recommend the place highly enough!
I couldn't say enough about how much I have adored my experience about this hotel - all powered by an amazing and hospitable staff.
My boyfriend and I have been staying here in Siem Reap for 3 days. From the first day, they pleasantly picked us up via Tuk Tuk and welcomed us in. The breakfast and breakfast staff is probably one of my most favorite parts. Breakfast is free, delicious and slightly differs each day - all along their front patio above water! The staff has been so accommodating and have gone above and beyond for a comfortable experience. They were also able to plan and help us coordinate our tours in this city.
The accommodations itself are awesome. Our room was clean and exactly as pictured / we imagined it would be. It was right next to the pool - which was perfect for a dip after a long, humid day at the temples! It's also situated conveniently between the Angkor temples, the city and the airport!
This hotel easily has been one of my most favorite stay experiences ever and I'm most thankful for the kind staff at La Residence Blanc D'Angkor that made this happen!
I can't say enough good things about this hotel and its staffs, esp. Ms. Sophia and Ms. Lora. They have done an amazing job from the moment we arrived, we were made to feel special. Everyone had a smile on their face and did everything they could to make us feel welcome.
One of the tuktuk drivers, Mr. Davith, picked us up from the airport, and been with us throughout our tour, up to the drop off at the airport. Mr. Davith also did an amazing job. He suggested the best of the best tourist spots in Siem Reap. We will surely recommend him to other tourists.
The rooms are comfortable and incredibly well designed. This hotel has a pool and we did swim a lot after a long day outside.
I recommend this hotel without reservation to anyone.
I simply cannot say enough about this hotel. Comfortable and clean on the inside with rooms and WC expansive and the outside an oasis of vegetation and water with a gorgeous pool to relax in. Ate dinner one night and was very impressed with the food and service.
Hands down the best though was the service of the staff. I wanted to hang out and talk with them because they were just SO kind and eager to make our trip seamless. Kim when we checked in and Julia the second day were darling.
There are a lot of hotels in Siem Reap. Check this one out. You will NOT be disappointed.
This small hotel in Siem Reap is in a quiet tranquil neighbourhood.
Very clean, good sized bedrooms and a lovely little pool in a nice garden setting.
Very traditional, unlike anonymous chain hotels.
Staff is really friendly, speak good English and can't do enough for you.
Great place to stay!
