La Residence Blanc D’Angkor
What We Love
- Get around by tuk tuk from a boutique hotel close to the Temples of AngkorCatching sight of the sunset from the hotel's pool
- How easy it is to travel to Angkor Wat from the hotel (the airport is nearby, too)
- The illustrated murals in the guest rooms of this boutique retreat
What To Know
- The tropical gardens are centered around the tranquil pool
- It's 15 minutes to Angkor Wat
- The friendly staff is all smiles
Angkor Wat, the grand Khmer structure that has towered for centuries in the heart of Cambodia is known for its otherworldly structures and fascinating mix of natural and man-made features. A stay at the peaceful La Residence Blanc D’Angkor will put you just 15 minutes away from its doorstep.
Stellar location aside, La Residence Blanc is a cosy haven and recipient of TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence. The grounds are lush with tropical greenery, all centred around a blue pool in the heart of the courtyard. Spend a quiet moment lounging by the pool and catch the sunset from a shady spot on the deck.
Inside, you’ll find each room to be chic and comfortable, the bedroom accompanied by a large balcony and couch. But what stands out is the exquisite mural that adorns the wall behind the bed. The murals are different in each room, each depicting a majestic piece of art or architecture from Cambodia’s history, bringing you closer to the Khmer culture.
How to Get There
We were booked here by Iglu Cruises as part of a 3 day stay in Cambodia, 2 Singapore and then a 10 day cruise. It is dreadful. The staff were very pleasant and helpful but the room is not suitable. The pictures will speak for themselves. Iglu charged a fortune but we have since found out it is £18 on Booking.com. The room smelt and there was no way I was using the bathroom! Btw, Iglu told us to find our own alternative, at our own expense, so bear that in mind if you are booking anything with them. We found accommodation elsewhere and will review the new hotel separately. Please do look at the photos.
We had a 3night stay during a short trip to Cambodia.
The staff really make this resort, don’t think I have ever encountered such lovely people during all my travels.
It’s a short tut tut journey to main areas of bars and restaurants.
They also do a great beef burger.
Many thanks guys for making our short stay very special.
We were only able to stay here for 2 nights, but it was amazing! The staff were all very kind and helpful- they made it feel like we were staying in a 5 star hotel. From the moment we checked in, we were greeted with a welcome drink and snacks, and made us feel right at home. They were always willing to help us, whether is be tours or things to do throughout the day. The rooms were very spacious and clean, pool was awesome, and breakfast delicious! Will definitely be coming here again.
We have spent 4 nights here and they have been an incredible experience. Our early arrive (6am from Phnom Penh) was perfectly managed by Mr Nick who arranged everything necessary for getting our room ready by 10 am!! Thanks a lot ❤️
Recommendations, arrangements for tuctuc, guide, bus tickets for our next destination, and always with a smile and willing to help.
Thanks to all the staff but we would like a special mention to Naren & Hing our great waiters who took care of us at the afternoon, specially during the happy our 😊 thanks guys!! You are great professionals 🙏🏻សូមអរគុណ🙏🏻
We stayed 5 nights at La Residence Blanc D'Angkor and from the minute we arrived to the morning we left the staff were fantastic. After a long flight we were greeted with smiles and a complimentary drink. Our room was spacious and clean although the mattresses were a little too firm! Breakfast was good. Great location to explore the local sights. We spent a relaxing day by the pool, just what we needed to recharge before exploring the Temples. Thank you Laura, Jame & Kevin for making us feel so welcome!
