La Residence Blanc D’Angkor
What We Love
- Get around by tuk tuk from a boutique hotel close to the Temples of AngkorCatching sight of the sunset from the hotel's pool
- How easy it is to travel to Angkor Wat from the hotel (the airport is nearby, too)
- The illustrated murals in the guest rooms of this boutique retreat
What To Know
- The tropical gardens are centered around the tranquil pool
- It's 15 minutes to Angkor Wat
- The friendly staff is all smiles
Angkor Wat, the grand Khmer structure that has towered for centuries in the heart of Cambodia is known for its otherworldly structures and fascinating mix of natural and man-made features. A stay at the peaceful La Residence Blanc D’Angkor will put you just 15 minutes away from its doorstep.
Stellar location aside, La Residence Blanc is a cosy haven and recipient of TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence. The grounds are lush with tropical greenery, all centred around a blue pool in the heart of the courtyard. Spend a quiet moment lounging by the pool and catch the sunset from a shady spot on the deck.
Inside, you’ll find each room to be chic and comfortable, the bedroom accompanied by a large balcony and couch. But what stands out is the exquisite mural that adorns the wall behind the bed. The murals are different in each room, each depicting a majestic piece of art or architecture from Cambodia’s history, bringing you closer to the Khmer culture.
How to Get There
One of the best hotel in Siem Reap. Accomodating staff, clean and large rooms, nice bathrooms with bath tub (booked 2 standard rooms inclusive of buffet breakfast). Earth friendly hotel. Good location. We fail to try the pool. Its worth the price.
Before booking properties/accommodations in any of my travels, I make sure to read reviews from different websites to ensure I won’t have a bad experience. La Residence Blanc d’Angkor had glowing reviews here on TripAdvisor, and boy, have they delivered.
Room/accommodation - 5/5 stars. At 60 sqm, it was so spacious for us and our luggage and we don’t feel cramped up at all. AC was also nice as well as the lighting and bathroom!
Offerings/Amenities - 5/5 stars. Since it’s a boutique hotel, we understand it’s smaller than the usual but they definitely made it up withe amenities like the nice pool and complimentary airport transfers. They also have a decent breakfast buffet spread. They also prepared breakfast boxes for us when we availed of a Sunrise Angkor Wat Tour. We were welcomed warmly by Laura, with welcome drinks (The best Tamarind Juice we’ve ever tasted!!!) which was refreshing and just what we needed. She also helped arrange tours for us.
Service/Hospitality - 10 STARS. If there is a highlight in this hotel aside from the other things mentioned, it really is their outstanding service and hospitality. All of the staff even their tuk tuk drivers are warm, always smiling and always ready to help and go above and beyond.
Value for Money - 5/5 stars. Spacious rooms, good breakfast spread, outstanding service... what more can we ask for? They did a lot of small things that we greatly appreciate and we honestly think the service is worth more than what we have paid for.
I CAN’T WAIT TO GO BACK, RECOMMEND TO ALL MY FRIENDS AND WILL SURELY BOOK HERE AGAIN! :)
We had visited this resort on 18th of May 2018 as couples. I must say this is an amazing place to stay in siem reap mainly because of the hospitality of the staff. They were very friendly and helped us in many ways like giving extra room for freshening up even after checkout. The location is also good.. rooms were large and very very clean. This is the best value for money resort in siem reap! We even used their tuktuk driver who was really patient and gave us a very comfortable journey
The garden with the pool is absolutely amazing. Such a tranquile place. The tuktuk service that is provided is great also. Wonderful and very polite drivers. Arriving in the hotel is a very nice experience. There is a welcome drink while passports are being photocopied. My name was spelled out in grass leaves on the bed. Bed was great. There is a minibar in the room with plenty of space to keep your own food and drinks cool. Breakfast is great especially next to the pond with the big fish in it. The only downside was the crack in our bath. It was poorly fixed and just didn't look nice. For the rest everything in the hotel was very clean and we would stay here again if we were to travel to Siem Reap again.
Good hotel, Friendly staffs, Great of service with variety of delicious foods, Nice room and comfortable. It's the best place to relax with a good swimming pool and a great natural view. Thank you Mr.Makara Jame and all staff for surprised and nice decorated on my birthday! Thanks for these awesome memories!!!
