How to Get There
The Shrangri-La Hotel in Chengdu,
beside the name and the super good location on the river and near LKF,
It’s a waste of money.
Very crowded and noisy breakfast with most of the tables unavailable because dirty.
Rooms are not nice and service is not appropriate for a 5 stars hotel.
No reasons to come back here,
many other good hotels in Chengdu.
Spent 3 nights at the Shangri-La Hotel in Chengdu and had a very good experience there. The room that I originally had was nice but the air-conditioning wasn't working properly so I called the front desk to have it fixed. It took them only 5 mins to send a technician to check but obviously, the work would require a couple of hours to have it fixed. The front desk manager was so nice to upgrade me to a junior suite at no cost. Thanks for the very good service and I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel even I wasn't been upgraded.
I have now stayed at the Shangri-La hotel in Chengdu 3 times and each time I am always impressed at their staff. When I arrived this last time I was hoping to purchase and item that I had seen in their Business Center on my last trip but discovered it was no longer available in the hotel. Luckily I had taken a photo of it and Lyn Li in the Business Center immediately went to work and found the vendor for the item I was seeking. Within 24 hours I had said item in my hand. I couldn't have been more pleased.
This hotel raises the bar of excellence that all top hotels should strive for.
I look forward to my next stay there.
