Fantastic experience at the Langham Shanghai in Xintiandi

The Langham is known for its excellent food and beverages, and its attentive service. We loved the breakfast for its variety, freshness and quality. On the last day with a late checkout we enjoyed a wonderful lunch. Its Cantonese, Indian, Japanese, and other selections were delectable. We loved the Cantonese slow-simmered soup tucked in a little section! The Langham Club was a nice upgrade and a recommended one. The lounge has a wonderful wine selection and delicious little bites. It's great for intimate business meetings or winding down after a long day at the office. We are very happy with our choice.

Excellent customer service and facilities

Been a regular visitor in shanghai and prefer Langham as the first choice being familiar with the property and most importantly the people working here. Ms.Zoe,Mrs.Shirley,Mrs Yun are the ones that has been displaying the top level service and response. You need anything, they are racing to get it done and this is not once ,but all these years whenever i am there. Recently in July 2019 ,(this month)beginning we were in Shanghai Langham and left to Ningbo as we had tickets for the high speed train booked by one of our supplier(as it was raining like cats and dogs we decided to take train).Upon reaching the train station we came to know that one of our passport informations were wrongly entered while booking and we couldn't travel to Ningbo.I called zoe for help and within next 30 minutes she arranged a taxi to Ningbo with the best rate and by the time we had a coffee and small mac burger taxi was there and she made sure that driver took us safely . She did the followup with driver and me throughout the journey..This is what is called as customet sevice and zoe is well known to me and our company for over 4 years.Yun and shirley do their job is the best way with any kind of help we require .The women in langham are the best ones i have seen so far .Keep it up.

It was my company stay at the hotel and it was a fantastic experience. Big rooms, outside bar & pool. The concierge services were too good as I was a foreigner they helped me reach destinations on time & right.
Staff was very polite at the front desk and attentive.
It was a good experience at the Langham.

Incredible rooms, breakfast, pool and outdoor bar

Had an amazing stay at the Langham.
The breakfast was absolutely incredible with a very large selection of types of cuisine.
From Jamon Serrano from spain, to the French corner with bread, croissants and cheese... Could not have wished for better.
It also conveniently has a VPN allowing to have access to your emails and maps (gmail & gmaps) as this can be very challenging anywhere else.
The swimming pool is beautiful - too bad it is not an outdoor one.
At night, they have a singer coming over to sing and play the piano for a bit, definately something you want to see.

An excellent concierge experience

It’s not just the practical benefits such as the location that makes this hotel a great choice. Their concierge offers the warmth and hospitality that, to me, had truly made the difference.

After tireless online search for restaurants and places to visit, we met Momoco at the front-desk and she kindly offered us a list of selections according to our rough criteria. She then helped us make all the reservations, and it turned out as something really exceptional. Perhaps hidden from the typical foreigners’ must-go lists and websites, they were those truly authentic places where one can feel the local Shanghai vibes at its pulse.

By the way, Tang Court is a Chinese restaurant located in the same building, however, please be alarmed that this place is a complete tragedy. We spent almost 5K to dine at a VIP room with 4 people, just to realize we have a very poor food on the table. Nowhere worthy of 3 Michelin stars.

So, here are the takeaways. Do not go to Tang Court but instead listen to Momoco's masterful suggestions. The front-desk concierge are generally great, and so do the porters that follow you after. The rooms are fine with sufficient amenities. Joining their free membership will get you very attractive offerings including a free hotel shuttle that could be used at Langham elsewhere in the world. This is a hotel worthy of repeating.

Thank you, will see you again soon!!
