Anywhere but here. Such a shame

Such a massive shame. A shocking experience all round. Check in staff were not friendly or helpful at all and after a 13 hour day of travelling a friendly smile or warm cheery greeting would have been nice- nope absolutely nothing. The concierge - I don’t actually know their purpose as they literally do not help anyone- they don’t smile or open doors or say hello at all so when car turned up to check in, they all just stood there and watched us struggle with the bags. The only friendly people are the house keeping staff who always were happy and smiley! Other than them, cold and sour staff. We are Accor gold members and were upgraded, which we thought would be nice but we were very mistaken there. Our room must have been the dud of the entire place. So so small- we shared 1 suitcase as we travel light and there was nowhere for that one to even go so would hate to see usual travellers with two big suitcases; they just couldn’t possibly fit. Lets talk about everything that didn’t work.... the bedside lamps made sizzling noises and flicked on and off - super unsafe! The TV constantly flickered and turned on and off. The air con you can’t control in your room which makes it the WORST experience when they have it set at 28 degrees Celsius! Horrible! So incredibly stuffy and hot. We asked the staff and they said that it’s how it is and ‘drink some water’... but then the bottle water you give is warm? And how does that fix the hot room? They then brought up a pedistool fan which is pretty pathetic for a ‘5 star hotel’. There was an extremely awful smell like enough to make you want to vomit constantly, coming from the drains in the bathroom every day. The window was open but it didn’t help at all. It was enough to drive us out of the room as early as we could every morning (around 7am) and wanted to stay out the entire day to avoid the smell, as well as everything else this room didn’t offer. Then there was the coffee machine. It leaked everywhere like all over the bench it sat on (which was where the TV was... super unsafe again) and all down the back where the cables were- very very bad. Once we realised we quickly moved it far away from the TV and any electrical things. It didn’t work any of the 4 mornings at all and crushed the pods and they got stuck so a massive fail. It may sound petty but don’t offer a coffee machine if it doesn’t work. In fact, don’t offer such a sub-par experience to any guest- especially your loyal Accor members. Accor need to really visit this place and see for themselves how shocking it is for their guests. The only good thing is that there is the metro station right there super close by, so you can escape this hotel very conveniently. The cost to stay here is horrifically high and for what it is, the in room things mentioned above makes it absolutely not worth it at all- I would say a 2 star at the most and wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Do yourself a favour and stay anywhere else.

My wife and I are elderly independent travelers. We stayed on the Club Floor. Our first impressions were that tish hotel was not up to Pullman standards - more 1970's Ibis. The room was of reasonable size with a comfortable bed. The real let down was the standard of service in the Club Lounge. The hot food for breakfast was cold, ditto for evening nibbles. Flat sparkling wine (Half inch in bottle from previous day) was mixed with a newly opened bottle of warm bubbly -Ugh. Tables were left uncleared until the meal was finished resulting in trying to get at your food through piles of used plates and inedible food. The staff tried but management has clearly failed to give them even the basics of workplace training. Each morning a coterie of managers would appear from the Club Lounge meeting room and walk straight past all guests without even acknowledging their presence - perhaps the managers also need more training!! All in all a hotel gave the impression that it was ageing uncomfortably and ungraciously. The hotel is in need of a strategy to enthuse management to to reach the full potential of this most conveniently positioned hotel for the holiday or business traveler.

always happy to stay at pullman, i had been staying at this pullman in 2019 for numbers of night, what i realise is that their breakfast is not that good, i wanted to say bad but well it was not well manage, food are cold, services are not what usual pullman or even competitor Courtyard by Marriott, service is really slow
