Nice Hotel with good pricing

I am a frequent visitor of this hotel because it provides facilities of GYM, swimming pool. The price charged is good with the facilities and room condition provided.

One thing to comment is the coffee on the 1st floor is totally un-acceptable. No matter black coffee or the Latte. It's worse than the capsule provided in the room

Fake Pullman but good location hence awarding one star

The Chinese are famous for producing fake handbags in Shenzhen. This is the first time I have come across a fake five star hotel! Pullman stuck their brand name to the building around five years ago but the hotel lobby was cramped not as a five star hotel should be. Besides the sub-par building the lack of WiFi was the major problem. In short the manager acknowledged that they have a problem with the WiFi signal on floors 11, 12 and 13. I had to change room three times!
This is definetely not a business traveller hotel so stay clear of this place! Besides the convenient location there is nothing positive to say about this fake Pullman.

Not up to scratch

I stayed in this hotel in late June for four nights, checking in quite late on a Thursday evening. Because I was not checking out until the following Monday, I thought I would treat myself to a suite to enjoy my downtime over the weekend. The suite also gave me access to the Executive Lounge.

As I walked into the room I thought a window was open (it wasn’t) because the road construction noise was LOUD! But it was late so I found my earplugs and went to bed.

So, breakfast on Friday morning....very few guests in the lounge, and the main TV was showing a children’s program with no-one watching it. The two staff members were standing nearby looking terribly bored and playing on their phones. The food was stone cold! There were a few fried eggs on a plate under a lamp - the lamp did nothing to keep the food warm by the way! I was there at 8:00, and the eggs looked like they had been there since 6:00! Bacon? Yes, but cold. Baked beans? Yep, and cold! They had a coffee machine which was good.

After ‘breakfast’ I went downstairs to see if I could change to another room, this one facing away from the offending 24 hour construction noise. It was difficult to make myself understood as to why I wanted to move, and I was eventually told there were no other rooms!

During the weekend I needed to get some documents printed so took my USB to the executive lounge, to be told they couldn’t assist and to go to the front desk! So I went to the front desk, and no-one seemed able to assist me there, until finally a staff member came along who had access to a computer and printer in the back room!

The room was clean, the bed comfortable, as were the pillows. Bathroom was spacious with a deep bath.

I am a Gold Accor member, and have stayed in many Pullman hotels throughout Asia, especially in China. This hotel leaves a lot to be desired. It may be fine for a night here or there, but I don’t think it is really a business hotel. Im sorry to report I didn’t enjoy much sleep or my weekend here.
