We had a enjoyable stay! Very beautiful room with nice view of Huangpu river. The hotel has 24 hours swimming pool! Our kids were spent a lot time there!
Choose the Club Lounge Room if possible because there more less people than the breakfast venue downstairs. Also you can have afternoon tea and dinner for free. But the staffs were looks very busy when we checked in so we have to wait a side table quite a long time.
Concierge service was great, the gentleman outside offered us the shuttle service which was very thoughtful.

Not entirely up to standard

Am reviewing this from the perspective of a business traveler.

The MO brand carries a lot of weight and so expectations were high. At first blush the hotel looked promising given the nice decor in both and lobby and rooms. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully designed.

However, there are a number of areas that require improvement, especially if the hotel is to be truly 5* and worthy of carrying the MO brand.
- Check-in was slow. From lining up until being given a key was nearly 20 minutes. Once at the desk the check-in process itself wasn’t efficient. Also, the front desk staff were tolerated and/or were oblivious to people pushing-in (cutting the line).
- Internet was deathly slow, so much so that it was useless for even reading email. Ended up having to tether to my mobile.
- Staff are not always attentive, and often distracted by their smartphones. That would never happen at the Mandarin in Hong Kong.
- Food quality — both room service and restaurant — is definitely not 5* quality and very expensive.

I’ve stayed at many other MOs. The standard is generally quite high. The MO Pudong is a stand-out for the wrong reasons.

The hotel’s view is good
The room is spacious and clean
The reception is trying to do a good job, and they are friendly, however, I think there’s room for improvement. The doorman can also be trained to do better
Thanks to the manager for the spa voucher, highly appreciate.

Business or Vacation - The Best Hotel in Shanghai to stay
Reviewed 5 days ago

It was my first time in Shanghai and this trip to be memorable, so I booked this Hotel for my Business conference which was for 2 days and added 3 more days to Explore Shanghai. The Hotel Staff provided me River View Room on 10th Floor. Room Service was good, the best part that I liked was the Variety in the Breakfast Buffet Menu. The food is delicious. I did not expect that I easily get North Indian food of such a great taste. I came to know the shef was from my native place,

The staff is very polite and helpful, the hotel provides Cab facility as well within Radius of 2 Km. The only bad part was the distance of this hotel from other tourist spots which actually are on the other side of River. But If you can walk for 1 Km you can easily take Metro and go on the other side in less than 5 Yuan.

Overall I'll give 9 Rating out of 10, will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.
