How to Get There
We enjoyed our stay in Les Suites Orient. Best location in Shanghai, nice, well-appointed rooms, very good breakfast with broad variety of Chinese and European cuisine. I managed to find only one staff member who spoke good English. It is the only reason I can't give this property "Excellent" rating.
Excellent location, professional, helpful and courteous staff, amazing views and location, very comfortable and immaculately clean rooms, great restaurant and buffet breakfast. Great area for relaxing / waiting on the third floor with complimentary tea/coffee and snacks
If you’re looking for a nice place to stay on the Bund, this is perfect. Our room was very clean and the view was wonderful.
We visited on Lunar New Year’s Day so we wanted to make sure the restaurants we wanted to eat at were open and staff member Mark Wang helped us tremendously! The place we wanted to go was closed but Mr. Wang went out of his way to find us another good place to eat (Lost Heaven), made the reservation and explained how to get there.
Our reservation included the morning breakfast at the hotel but as our flight was early the next morning, we were unable to eat there, so the staff packed us our breakfast and had a cab ready for us at 6am the next morning.
We will definitely look forward to staying here again! :)
This hotel is in the best location on the Bund. Within walking distance of Nanking road and fabulous shopping and restaurants. The breakfast is bountiful and fresh. We found the service to be excellent and helpful. I would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Shanghai.
My wife and I came here for a nice wedding anniversary night and we were not disappointed. At first we got a "city view" room, which only looks out on buildings behind the hotel, but we were able to move to a river view room pretty easily - we had to pay for it, but it was very worth it. The decor is great, all early to mid-twentieth century Shanghai, very classic, and the view of the Pudong buildings with lights was just what my wife wanted (make sure to get a room as high up as possible). My favorite part was the bathroom with huge tub and being super close to the Bund so we could just walk around. The breakfast the next morning was truly excellent - the food was a step above similarly priced hotels since the hotel is/was giving a steep discount on rooms at the time. Overall a really great experience for a couple, we hope to come back sometime in the future.
