How to Get There
Starting with the good. We had a great room, which has had a good amount of thought put into it. Multi-adaptor plugs, well laid out/designed room, good furniture and comfortable bed.
The bad. Staff level of English isn't always great. They will simply say 'yes' even if there is no intention of doing something. My wife has a gluten intolerance and was told the food would be fine. It wasn't. I also asked for a taxi to be ordered and waiting to take us to a local metro station to go to the airport. Instead it was ordered when we got down to the 1st floor and the person ordered a Didi/Uber on their personal account. The journey cost Y11 and the hotel staff asked for Y25 in cash before we left. Pretty disgusting behaviour.
Shame as overall this could be so much better.
It´s a small hotel, but in my opinion it´s perfect, because the service is better. The location it´s great, and the most of areas in the property looks good. The room are very confortable and has eveithing that you need. Most of the staff do a very good job but the best one is Mak Wang, who always was trying to help in our needs.
The Hotel is located on the Bund and is a rather unique experience. A very nice place to stay - from the complimentary drinks upon arrival and each day with stay, really nice breakfasts, rooms that are truly enjoyable and staff that help negotiate Shanghai. Mark & Robin made our stay memorable. Thank you.
We stayed at Les Suites during our stay in Shanghai - cannot fault the view from our room, direct views of the Bund skyline were gorgeous. The location of the hotel means you can reach attractions such as Yu Gardens, Nanjing Street and old Shanghai within 20-25 minutes by foot.
Mark W orientated us aound the room and was always willing to help us, which was appreciated.
The room was clean with tea/coffee/water facilities.
The only downside was the breakfast - there were not many options for vegetarians as most dishes were meat or fish. However, due to the location of this hotel, I would not hesitate to stay here again.
The hotel offers good location on the Bund, where you can access many attraction places. Entrance is on the first floor while reception in on the 3rd. This means every time you need to go in and out you need to take double elevators. The first one to lobby and the second to entrance, vice versa. Breakfast is moderate.
