5 days honeymoon
Reviewed 17 hours ago

The resort is located at one of the most beautiful spots in Seychelles Beau Vallon with direct access to a beautiful beach and there are nice restaurants located on sight , We went to multiple sea tours but our favorite was the hike at Anse major.

In general the resort is very well organized , clean and welcoming shows that there is a very good management team behind it you feel that the staff is always one step ahead and they provide your need before you think about it .

Special thanks to Kamlesh he showed very well dedication in providing guides on the tours of Seychelles and was greatly helpful in organizing our visits in the island .

Also Nada from the staff was a very helpful it is always nice to find an Arabic friendly speaker and she made us feel very well welcomed in the resort.

Amazing place for honeymoon

MINUS of the stay...
First of all I would like to say we really like that resort and we enjoyed our stay but ... Sometimes stuff at reception had not the right informations or forgot to tell us. It happened several times that yoga lessons were canceled or moved from morning to afternoon. Also when you want to book massage they informed us about max 5 types but when you came to their spa you will find out there are much more. Similar situation happened when we wanted to book dinner to Seyshima. They offer cooking show (absolutely worth for the money as we could see) but nobody told us. We've just been informed in restaurant but it was too late. If you are coffee lover you won't enjoy something what comes from their machines during the breakfast. I would also expect different type of coffee in the rooms ... Nescafé bags and powder cream in 5* resort??? Sorry!!! I would not also call their "fresh juice" like that - fresh juices are miles away from those which were offered during breakfast. They should upgrade internet in the rooms because it was really slooow and because they do not have any movie library (or we were not informed :-)) we had to watch films via our iTunes library and it's still "loading" and "loading" :-) Last comment regarding the rooms - I do not know if it is caused by humidity or what, but every time you enter the room you will feel really unpleasant smell of stale towels.
PLUS of the stay
We came for honeymoon and we really like this place. It is close to the beach and resort has almost everything you can imagine. Their stuff is absolutely amazing and helpful. You can spent time in gym, yoga lessons or go snorkeling and if you lucky you meet sea turtle as we did. We really enjoyed breakfasts (excellent food offer, prossecco etc.) and you have to try one or more restaurants or beach bar. We have been to Seyshima and Trader Vic's and our dinners were amazing and we also ordered few dinners to our room and as you can guess, yes it was great as well.

30th Birthday Trip
Reviewed 2 days ago

We arrived at the hotel at around 1 am quite tired from our long trip from Paris. The staff checked us in quickly and got us transferred to our room by buggy (the buggies are similar to the ones used on a golf course), a feature that came in useful during our stay.

Leon, a member of the concierge helped us book a full day trip by ferry (€100 per person, return) to Praslin including a private taxi (€150 approx 4 hours) to see the Vallee de mai nature reserve, some beautiful beaches around Praslin and a private boat tour (€270 approx 3-4 hours) to Curieuse Island (tortoise island), snorkelling and to drop us back at the ferry terminal. Breakfast was prepacked for us before we set off which was a great help given we left at 06:30.

Something to bear in mind when travelling to take the ferry from Victoria. You need a photo copy of your passport or your original passport, do not forget them like us! Luckily Leon had told us to head down to the ferry terminal at 06:30 for our 07:30 ferry. This wasn’t strictly necessary, but did give us enough time to go back, pick up the copies and still catch the ferry on time. You can park for free near the ferry terminal and the ferry will stop letting on new passengers 5 minutes before so make sure you are there before then. Our day trip to Praslin was great and I can highly recommend going there.

As far as the room goes, we stayed in a junior suite which was spacious: a huge double bed with very soft pillows, a large outside balcony and big bathroom with a free-standing bath, his and her sinks, and a separate shower room and separate toilet. The only issue we had in the beginning was the TV not showing channels, this just turned out to be a lose cable at the back. The bathroom has a speaker as well and a separate volume control on the wall. At first, I thought this might be Bluetooth, but it wasn’t, it is for the TV in case you were wondering.

We went to every restaraunt they had at the hotel and while expensive the food was very good quality!

On another day we had done a day trip to La Digue on bikes, again highly recommended! It can be a bit hilly in parts but that is paid off when you can freewheel down the other side! Unfortunately, I had managed to cut my foot somewhere and my girlfriend had twisted her ankle while in the sea. Neither of these things were life threatening, but when returning to the hotel we got a lot of assistance from the first aider who was able to clean the sand out of my foot with some iodine and patch it up with a plaster, she also helped my girlfriend out with an anti-inflammatory spray and bandages to wrap the ankle along with another buggy ride back to the room.

We wanted to go diving on one of the days and conveniently there is a dive centre called Underwater Centre approx. three mins walk from hotel’s entrance to the beach. The diving experience was great, lots of tropical fish to see and a very short boat ride to go out to see them. The only issue we had was my girlfriend had surfaced to quickly and ended up with half of her face in excruciating pain; the hotel came to our rescue again and showed us that there is a health clinic no more than a few minutes’ walk up the road. We went to get it check out and found the process a little bit disorganised. Went into about 3 different rooms before we could explain what the problem was, she got an injection for the pain and a referral to an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist and an X-Ray at the hospital in Victoria. Went off to Victoria to get the X-Ray and talk to the specialist. We spent around 2.5 hours total time to get this sorted out and ended up with a bag full of pills. The total cost was around €50 which I guess is not that bad considering that included all of the pills and the X-Ray and two consultations.

I would like to summarise my experience with the staff and the hotel as excellent. The staff were always friendly and willing to help out; the hotel is in an excellent location and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Agreed issues not kept

We booked a grand beach villa in March 2018. Our trip was supposed to be in November. However, we received a phone call and e-mail in September, were they explained that they could only keep the booking and the guaranteed villa.

For a family travelling as far as from Finland and consisting of two adults and four small children it is not an option to spend a holiday in two separate villas. Very disappointed with service. So never again to this hotel.

Best Beau Vallon has to offer
Reviewed 1 week ago

We stayed for 5 nights in September for my wife’s birthday in a garden suite.

It’s a relaxed, modern hotel at the Bel Hombre end of Beau Vallon beach. Grounds are nice, pool area was great for whiling away a few hours. The hotel has a luxury feel, but without the stuffiness.

Where to stay in Mahe is really a choice between North or South of Victoria. The hotels in the South are based at some fantastic beaches, but many are quite isolated and Mahe has a lot to offer, so we chose a base from where it was easier to get around.

The restaurants are probably the best in the area and there’s a pretty wide choice for the size of hotel.

Breakfast was excellent.

The spa was a little expensive but fantastic, and worth it.

Beau Vallon beach is beautiful and has a special place in my heart. Not the best beach in the Seychelles, but certainly one of the great tropical beaches in the world, and the sunsets are spectacular. A leisurely evening stroll on BVB is just a wonderful way to wind down at the end if the day.
