How to Get There
We came to H resort after 4 days on safari in South Africa and it was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a tiring few days.
The resort is luxurious, immaculately kept and in a great location. Despite holding 220 guests it never felt busy or noisy, in fact most days there only seemed to be about 10 people around the pool. The beach was stunning and also not crowded. We had a junior suite and the room and facilities were perfect. It was very clean, lovely little gifts from the turn down service every day and that bed!! Amazing!
The food was excellent - plenty of choice on the half board buffet at breakfast and dinner and pool snacks from ripples pool bar for lunch. We ate in trader Vic’s a few times and the food and cocktails there were fantastic. The tepanyake experience at seyshima was excellent - chef Jovecent was very entertaining, funny and made outstanding food. We liked the dessert so much, we went back just for dessert a couple of times!
As it was our honeymoon, we also booked a tête-à-tete dinner. We were a little disappointed with this - it was very expensive and the food wasn’t as good as what we’d had in the other restaurants. We didn’t receive the starter we had requested during our meeting with chef Reiner and were charged for a whole bottle of wine, even though my husband only had one glass and they didn’t leave the bottle for us on the table.
The couples connect spa treatment was amazing - our skin was so soft and glowing afterwards and we were so relaxed. The snorkeling with Errol was great fun and we fed the fish too which was excellent.
The staff were all brilliant and couldn’t do enough for us, in particular the reception staff and Sandeep at ripples pool bar.
Something to note - a 10% service charge is added on to every bill. We didn’t realize this and we were tipping in cash as well. No wonder we received such good service! There is also VAT added to every bill - Along with the service charge, It does hoick up the bill a bit.
The weather was a bit up and down. Although it was always nice and warm, we did have quite a lot of rain. However, this didn’t spoil the holiday at all.
All in all we had a wonderful time and would definitely come back again.

Beach is amazing !
All over they made our holiday so special we will definitely come back again!
Everything was perfect about our stay in this little paradise in Seychelles. Beautiful room, amazing pool with the view, delicious food in all restaurants, very friendly and caring stuff. There are many free activities for the guests so you will never feel bored. I recommend to visit SPA, very professional stuff and relaxing procedures. Also Seyshimi restaurant was great, we had live cooking experience, the chef made us laugh a lot. Thank you, H Resort for our unforgettable holiday! I really hope to come back again one day!!!
I went here with my fiancé and grown up son and daughter for my special birthday; it was the trip of a lifetime for us, and had been a very long time in the planning, and I (the fussiest woman ever!) wanted it to be absolutely perfect; I emailed the resort on many occasions before we went, asking lots of questions, and they were probably sick of my name before I even got there! It was NOT perfect at all - it was SO much better - it truly was amazing, and if you are considering the H - JUST DO IT!!! The Staff are absolutely incredible and cannot do enough for you especially the absolutely amazing Sarah, Alex and Aysha - all utterly superb (and I have worked in hotel management myself for 40 years, so feel qualified to say so!) They could not do enough for me/us, and made sure that my actual birthday was beyond even my expectations - I simply cannot tell you in words how great this place is, and how amazing they are!
Breakfast in Vascos was unbelievably good (special mention for Marjorie here, the ever-smiling and every friendly Chef) - the selection is incredible, and it's really spacious, and again all staff are just wanting to be friendly and help you.
Dinner choices were all excellent, including Dinner at Vascos, we absolutely loved EDEN (where they made my birthday spectacular - thank you Alex - and also Trader Vics, where the observant and fabulous duo (sorry I don't know your names!) spotted my 60 badge and gave me a private Happy Birthday rendition - very touching; special mention also to Jason (the man with the hugest smile ever) for joining the duo and shaking his maracas and enjoying his job!
My son and daughter enjoyed the gym and said it had very good equipment, and my daughter LOVED the yoga (and the instructor was an absolutely lovely lady, and again very friendly and knowledgeable).
The Hotel (sarah again!) organised a trip for us, and it was faultless; they also organised car hire for us, which again turned up on time, was organised perfectly, and was reasonably priced.
I went to the Seychelles first 35 years ago, and wherever in the world I have travelled, it has always been in my heart and I yearned to go back; everyone told me (even my own family) how much it would have changed, and how different it would be - well let me tell you - it is just the same (with one or two very minor alterations) and I love it even more now that I have discovered the H; sorry Alex, and Sarah, and Aysha - you will be seeing me again sometime in the not too distant future.
Further, the hotel is spotlessly clean, totally safe, the food everywhere is absolutely lovely, service is spot on, the beach is beautiful, and I really cannot fault this place.
On the final day of our trip, my son was really very ill all day (even thinking we may not be able to fly) and Sarah and the rest of the team could not do enough to help him.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place, and am working hard simply because I cant wait to go back! See you all soon!
Thank you so much, incredible Team H -Sarah, Aysha, Alex et al.
We stayed at the H Resort Beau Vallon Beach for four nights in April 2018. We enjoyed our stay at this resort and were generally impressed with most of its amenities and the service we received.
In a country where practically every item of food except fish (and only fish) has to be imported, there are very few places where quality food is not expensive, and while the H Resort is no exception to this, we found that on the whole, considering the quality of the food in the resort restaurants, it was moderately priced by Seychelles standards. The included breakfast was particularly good, and of the resort's restaurants we like the excellent Eden the most, followed by Trader Vic's.
The only issue we had with the service was the length of time it seemed to take to get our room serviced. It seemed practically impossible to get it cleaned in the morning, despite, on at least one occasion, asking housekeeping and reception several times if they could get it cleaned so my wife could work in it. Bizarrely, on one particular day, we saw that the room at the other end of the landing was being cleaned as we went to breakfast in the morning, and it was still, apparently, being cleaned 3-4 hours later when we happened to go back to our own room, which was still untouched.
The only other comment I have to make is about the rather nonsensical Happy Hour deal (the only one in the resort, as far as I am aware) offered in the pool bar, which was basically "buy two, get one free" of a single designated cocktail of the day. I did comment on this to hotel management at the time, pointing out that as an encouragement to people to frequent the bar more it was likely to fail: a single person would have to have three drinks to get the benefit, by which time he or she would probably be plastered, two people would have either to buy two drinks and share the third, or both get legless, and so on.
The service (aside from housekeeping) was generally excellent. An example: we were due to stay at the H Resort after having first stayed at the Hilton on Silhouette. We needed a car to take us from the airport to the jetty where the Hilton boat departed from. Hilton's charge for this was well in excess of $60. The H Resort arranged the car for us for, as I recall, $46. The H Resort also has its own car hire service, which we used and found much more reasonable than the local branches of the big chains on the island.
In conclusion, a thoroughly pleasant resort which we would be happy to revisit and recommend.
