Lovely resort , better for family's than couples as lots of young children. Limited choice of only two restaurants at the resort and a long drive to other restaurants outside.
Staff friendly but not always as efficient as you would expect from a five star resort.
Lovely villas with great facilities.

Amazing

Popped in as a day visitor.
Its a really smart hotel situated on a beach thats really worth a visit!
Day visitors are quite common but too many would spoil the upmarket venue and detract from the experience for the guests that are paying such a high price to stay there- so be prepared to struggle to find parking off the narrow road leading to the hotel - then make sure you are motivated for the 10 min walk.
Coming back is more of a challenge but the golf carts often stop and assist if they are passing and empty!
Food was great - high priced like everything on the island!
Well worth the effort.

We had very good time at this hotel.Villa is very nice with beautiful view, very nice and clean beach, with good service. The only thing that could be better,is choice of restaurants. There could be more variety apart from Asian,Japanese and Mediterranean cuisine.
Breakfasts were perfect, good choice and truly delicious.
Overall stay was very nice and we might be back again.

We have just returned from four seasons mahi .
We started there with 3 days , then went to Desroches for a week . Returning to Four seasons Mahi ,
Four seasons mahi is excellent.
We had a great start there . The beach is beautiful. The villas are large and all have pools . We had a complimentary bottle of champagne to are room and I received a gift that was very much appreciated.
Then off we went to desroches four seasons, I shall review that separately.
When we returned to Mahi four seasons,
We was greeted in such a nice happy way . We then got an up grade in are room , Amazing , A seinity villa , The view was absolutely fantastic. Complimentary champagne to are room .

Beautiful resort, average experience

To start out I must say that the resort is beautiful. The grounds are luscious with landscapers working daily to maintain the beauty. The pool, beach and gym are all very nice and offer good amenities.

We stayed in an ocean front villa (room 610) and the view was fantastic. There was a lot of space indoors, a nice outdoor sunning area and a private pool which we enjoyed daily. The villa offered a lot of privacy, though it is up a hill so be prepared for steps if you choose this villa. We paid extra (everything at this hotel is extra) for the privacy so be aware that lots of villas do not offer as much privacy. Many rooms are very close to each other and you run the risk of having neighbors look into your room. Choose your room wisely if privacy is of importance to you. Our issue with the room was bugs, we had ants in our room when we arrived. I’m not sure if it was left over from the last guest or lack of cleaning but it was unsettling. The ants were gone after the first day but we did have flying bugs in our room every night. They seemed to be coming up through the sink drains. We were diligent about keeping our doors closed day and night but it didn’t alleviate the problem. I understand that we are in a tropical paradise but bugs in the room is unacceptable to me in this price point.

The resort offers a few different restaurant options. Our favorite was the beach bar for lunch and Zez for an Asian dinner. The restaurants are nice but are very pricey. Be expected to pay a large sum of money for all meals at this property. Given the remote location of the resort with no other options nearby, we were disappointed that there were not other restaurant options within the resort or at least varied menus per night, especially at this price point. We ended up eating the exact same meal multiple days/nights. We did order in room dining regularly and had a great experience. Very friendly staff, prompt service and great meals- in fact the in room dining menu for lunch is much larger than the other lunch menu options.

The price of this hotel isn’t justified compared to other Four Seasons resorts worldwide. Nothing is included at this hotel so be prepared to open your wallet. Still water at dinner, paddle boards, all beach activities, mini bar, etc- all a very steep upcharge!

Lastly, I did not understand going in that this was such a family friendly resort. If you are traveling with kids they offer lots of kids activities to keep your little ones entertained. If you are looking for a more adult type of environment then this property may not be for you.

My husband and I have stayed at Four Seasons properties throughout the world so we understand the prices and service expectations and we are disappointed in this property.
