Fantastic resort!
Reviewed 6 days ago

My girlfriend and I stayed for 3 nights in August, we stayed in an Ocean view villa which was perfect, the room was huge, beautifully appointed and very private with your own plunge pool and with a stunning view over the bay, the food was amazing with three restaurants to choose from and the beach was fantastic, the staff were great they couldn't do enough for us, everyone is super friendly. booked with SeyExclusive, very knowledgable, can't wait to return.

Very Nice !

It's a great resort.

It was the only place we stayed on the Seychelles, so we arrived at the airport. The drive to the resort is 30/35 odd minutes. You are struck by privacy when you arrive. Check in was quick and efficient, and we were whisked away to our villa by golf buggy quickly thereafter.

The rooms are very spacious, and we had an ocean view with the plunge pool. I don't know if every villa had ocean view or not, but we certainly did, and it was great, The terrace area outside was nice, and we frequently used that to enjoy relaxing time.

The rooms are nice with a massive bathroom, plenty of wardrobe/closet space, and a great shower. Also an external shower to the extent you want it. One of our cases had been lost on an earlier flight, so we had to ask for toothbrushes and toothpaste - sometimes rooms have a small such amenity kit, but ours didn't. However, no issues, and it was delivered very quickly which was just fine.

We liked our four-poster style bed, with wrap around curtain. I didn't find the bugs to be a nuisance, but there are some, so the net wrap around curtain is sort of nice for bed time. The resort is sprayed daily (I think) to reduce bugs, so they're really not a nuisance.

The staff we interacted with were frankly all charming to us. From front desk to buggy drivers, from room service to restaurant staff, from housekeeping to beach bar staff - all of them. Well done to them all, as it makes the experience a most pleasant one.

We went to use the boutique shop down by the beach once and got a very confusing message about being charged 15pc vat if we charged the goods to our room, on top of the vat already being paid, telling us it didn't apply if we paid cash. They may have just mis communicated or something but I wasn't prepared to pay up in that regard. When I expressed my concern to the front desk (a terribly nice young lady from Belarus whose name I regretfully didn't take- but she was very sweet and charming), she took my concerns very seriously, even following up with me later to say she was investigating. Efficient. No damage done, but puzzling anyway.

We ate at the Asian Evening, the Creole Evening, the Bar, the restaurant near the bar (forgotten its name) and found the food and drink to be excellent in quality. Pricy I suppose, but excellent in quality - I guess it's the trade off. Not an issue for me, but just saying. Room service was likewise good quality. I enjoyed the breakfast, with plenty of good choices, and that nice open air feel.

Now our villa was towards one end of the resort. As such, the buggy rides are sort of essential. As long as you plan when you need one (busy times it is of course slower), it's ok, but be prepared to wait. The resort is on the side of a steep hill, or cliffs, so naturally the access from one level to another is steep. We didn't want to walk some of the steep roads, so used buggies. The drivers though are all well trained and very nice. Don't be put off by using the buggies, it's actually sort of fun, and helps you feel like you're in a special place.

I saw another review talk about a little bit of traffic or road noise, and in all honesty there is some. Staff walking around shouting to each other as well. It's not offensive, but does happen, but never for very long of course, and the villas are mostly quiet and peaceful. You do get the sense of being in a great place.

The beach is very nice, and easily accessible once you are down at that level. We enjoyed it.

Epitome of paradise

We visited this hotel as the final stop of a wonderful tour of the Seychelles - and we were just blown away. Villas are very spacious and perfectly planned, on the steep slope to a gorgeous beach, by a coral reef. We were upgraded to an ocean view and although we had forgotten to say that we had two kids with us in the web booking, everything was perfectly and smoothly arranged for my children as soon as we arrived. Kids club including meeting marine biologists and sushi making with the hotel chefs. Service very friendly but relaxed and nonformal. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Don’t miss the amazing view of the hilltop spa for sunset. We have stayed at luxurious hotels before, and also at Four seasons hotels before, but this really stood out as a true paradise.

lovely part of our honeymoon

We stayed at the Four Seasons Resort Seychelles as the last stop on our three-week honeymoon. The suites are exactly as pictures. They are well appointed and very comfortable. Our ocean villa had an amazing view and the pool was lovely. We enjoyed spending time at the beach and the villa due to the pool and view. There are multiple outdoor zones and you really do not need to leave the villa.

The in villa dining and the dinner we arranged to have on the beach our first night were some of our favorite meals. We were on a half board rate, and found the breakfasts and dinners outside of the villa to be the best meals. We have dietary restrictions and it was hardest to find options at lunch. The fresh juice and fruit in the morning was divine - as was the other food.

The spa was another wonderful part of the trip. We had amazing massages. I was a bit disappointed when booking that the spa does not have any amenities, but the quality of the massage made up for an disappointment. You can also go to the spa every evening to watch the sunset as it's the highest point in the resort.

I had read that the resort was very private, which is true as you have your own villa and you are not sharing walls with others. However, some villas are more private than others and there are roads (some busier than others) near the villas. So while it is private, it is not as if you have complete privacy. You need a buggy (golf cart) to get most places. Some times you had to wait longer for the buggy - it really depended. We were relatively close to the lobby so were able to walk quite a bit. I would have been frustrated if I had to take the buggy everywhere (and to wait for the buggy).

The villas and the views were my favorite elements, and for that alone I would recommend the property. I had high expectations and wish I had been more realistic about the privacy and the buggies. However, we had wonderful service and this was the perfect end to our honeymoon.

Beauty - In all its manifestations!!

Scenic views, delicious food and courteous hospitality are words that don't do justice to this beautiful and luxurious resort in Seychelles.
With respect to Accommodation, Four seasons Seychelles has left no stone unturned. We stayed in villa 503, which had a blend of picturesque views as well as the luxury of a 5-star resort.
The culinary experience of this resort was exceptional as well. They have 2 main restaurants, one serving continental comfort food with a taste of local dishes while the other served authentic Asian cuisine. Our dining experience at both were excellent.
Prompt and courteous service dos not even begin to describe the hospitality of Four seasons Seychelles. We were more than satisfied with service during our say and all our needs were taken care of.
We were travelling with my elderly grandparents, who were lucky enough to receive an upgrade to the Serenity villa (609), which made their trip even more memorable.
All in all, we had an excellent stay and would not hesitate in planning our next trip to this lovely resort in the paradise known as Seychelles.
