Romantic Old World hideaway with a celebrated spa and views of Camelback Mountain
Nestled at the base of picturesque Camelback Mountain in the exclusive enclave of Paradise Valley, Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia is an intimate oasis, inspired by the exotic locale of Spain’s Andalusia region. Recently re-branded as an Omni property, this iconic Scottsdale resort boasts a primo position just outside of town with jaw-dropping views of craggy, imposing Camelback Mountain. Guest rooms and suites are lavish, with four poster beds, luxe marble bathrooms and an earthy palette designed to reflect the surrounding desert landscapes. Both starry-eyed couples on romantic getaways and families on vacation are well catered to, with plenty of room to stretch out thanks to three pools (two stay open until midnight), multiple restaurants, and the enormous, fully-immersive Joya Spa, with a style reminiscent of Spain’s Alhambra palace.
In the Area
Join a guided hike or strike out on your own to see some of the Sonoran Desert’s starkly beautiful landscapes up close. Picturesque Camelback Mountain is a convenient five minute walk from the resort with various types of trails. Pinnacle Peak is ideal for horse-riding and rock climbing, while Scottsdale’s McDowell Sonoran Preserve has over 120 miles of trails. See even more of the area’s indigenous flora on a visit to the Desert Botanical Garden, where you’ll encounter all manner of otherworldly plants and flowers. Then hustle back to Montelucia for free wine tastings at Prado restaurant– be sure to taste local drops, as Arizona now has its own well-regarded nascent wine scene.
