How to Get There
Attended a business conference here. The conference facilities were good and the food was first class. The bedroom was well appointed and clean. The shower was very powerful. The staff were friendly. My wife enjoyed the spa.
Spent the weekend for my husband's 70th birthday and it was fabulous. From check in to check out everything was amazing. The staff are to be commended for their professional behaviour throughout. The food was also first class.
Beautiful looking hotel with lovely grounds. Interior is a mash of modern and old, and very dark. Check in was quick enough , if not overly friendly. Directed to my room and I then had to walk through a mass of people having a break from their meetings.
Room ok .. again quite a modern look but a little shabby, bathroom very dark again . I will say the beds are very comfy ( and huge).
Leisure centre in another building , modem equipment in gym good pool with a steam room and sauna.
Ate in the bar , food quite expensive but as nothing around has no choice but to eat in hotel. Food was nice .
Was checked out by the most miserable night porter who even farted in front of me.
Quite disappointed in this hotel ... generally staff make a hotel , but on this occasion far from it .
Won’t be rushing back .
I was up at Norton House Hotel and Spa to run a two day training course for my company and stayed there for two nights. I found the team from Peter the manager down to be welcoming, helpful and professional. Nothing was to much trouble and the staff all had a smile on their face.
I stayed in one of the executive rooms in the newer part of the hotel which was spacious, well appointed and very comfy. I had a lovely modern bathroom with bath and walk in shower as well as bathroom TV. The beds are a good size and comfy.
The health club was a short walk away and was good with a decent 18 metre swimming pool, hydro facilities and sauna. The gym while not large is well appointed with Technogym equipment.
The resturant and bar offer a limited but well cooked menu which was very tasty and the breakfast is plentiful and your standard cold and warm buffet style.
Overall, a welcoming team, comfy hotel and good conference facilities. Would definitely return and recommend.
Visited using a gift voucher for 2. We visited mid week so was quiet which meant plenty of loungers by pool and in relaxation room. The treatments were professional with the therapists being helpful and friendly. We had a 2 course lunch which was excellent.
Only negative was changing rooms which were cramped and many of the lockers where not locking or broken inside.
