Decent hotel. Great location.

The hotel staff were great. The only problem I can see was that the toilet flush button was directly behind the toilet lid so every time you had to flush the toilet, you had to put the lid down. Also, the room was hot (a/c not working properly) but the staff was kind enough to provide us with a portable fan. Lastly, the rooms were at times not clean properly and the tissue paper/amenities were never restocked. Had to call reception couple of times during my stay to have someone deliver tissue and amenities. Other than that, hotel is located at a great place, walking distance to major attractions and staff was very kind and accommodating.

Perfect spot in Edinburgh!

We spent 8 nights at this marvelous hotel. The location offers easy access to main attractions and transportation, the accommodations are comfortable, lovely amenities, delicious breakfast options, and best of all, the staff is top notch. We want to single out Zivile at the Reception area, who attended to any and every request immediately and effectively and also Nicole, who served on the lobby bar/restaurant staff.

Excellent room, spa and overall experience. Restaurant food very well presented and competitively priced just not to my taste. Would definitely recommend this hotel and repeat my visit. Staff overall very helpful and pleasant.

Awesome hotel with first rate staff

Hotel was easy to get to from the airport by taking the Airlink 100 and then a quick five minute walk from the bus drop-off at Waterloo Bridge. Staff was friendly and helpful during check-in and throughout our stay. The location could not be beat as we had planned a day trip to St. Andrews during our stay. The Waterloo Station was just down the street, as was the surrounding mall with all types of shops and places to eat. The walk into both New Town and Old Town was easy and the sights of Edinburgh were wonderful. The only complaint we had was that the cot provided for my son was, in his words, the least comfortable cot he'd ever slept on, including during our days of camping out. That having been said, for the price and location, as well as the friendly staff, we would definitely recommend this hotel.

The room and bathroom were tired looking , the hotel was undergoing a refurb and this was not notified prior to stay. I booked a family room and thought that would include a proper bed for my son not a
