On a hill overlooking the Sarawak River, the five-star Pullman Kuching has been a luxe landmark since it opened in 2009. Behind the imposing white façade, the 389 guestrooms are decked out in a soothing lilac and mint color scheme, with sleek wood floors and floor-to-ceiling windows that look out at the skyline. Take a dip in the outdoor lap pool or relax with a glass of champagne at Déjà Vu, a lounge bar dotted with dramatic artworks in the glass-vaulted marble lobby. The hotel’s poolside bar, Liquid, is a laid-back spot where guest DJs play until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Tuck into homemade pastries at Café Chat, Asian and Western fare at Puzzle, or authentic Chinese cuisine at Nu Er Hong. The Fit and Spa Lounge features a sauna, a steam room and hot and cold plunge pools, and offers a range of traditional massages and reflexology treatments.
In the Area
Studded with temples, bazaars, restaurants and bars, the city of Kuching is relatively small and easy to navigate. And the Pullman Kuching’s hilltop location could not be more central. The hotel is within walking distance of the waterfront’s bustling esplanade, where you’ll find an array of market stalls and riverside restaurants. Hop a sampan (river taxi) and look out for the colorful local fishing fleets that chug along this section of the river. Local highlights include Semenggoh Wildlife Center, an impressive orangutan reserve, and Sarawak Cultural Village, an outdoor museum that showcases the traditional houses of the indigenous people of Sarawak; check out the dance show at 11 a.m. on weekdays.
How to Get There
The sweetest smile I have ever seen from the staff@22nd floor... Unforgettable..Nice!!
Very nice room...only housekeeping can be improved..running out of mineral water 2 times(stay for 5 day).. Luckily the lady staff good enough to provide us.. Thanks.. good job..
The property has deteriorated so much since the past few years. An urgent upgrade is needed. The room smelled musty. Staff was still friendly although they seemed to no know basic things like whether Accor gold card members qualified for automatic room upgrades during check in
My husband and I stayed in this hotel after a few days in the Sabah jungle, the town was great and such a different vibe to what we came from. We spent afternoons by the pool drinking reasonably priced cocktails, took walks around the river for breakfast and late night drinks. If you're feeling lazy, there's a nice food court below the hotel too. Rooms were great and well priced, great location and a room with a river side view is a must.
Nice hotel and rooms, the food is not good and mostly it comes out cold. Breakfast is if a poor standard and not recommended. I believe the should change thier F&B manager as well as the head chef.
The hotel is in a good location near to the riverwalk and some nice restaurants within walking distance.
Long pool nice for swimming and spa for relaxing.
Efficient and professional staff ready to help you.
conveniently located near the water front and near some restaurant.
