Good hotel but not the real Sheraton standard

Rooms are spacious and clean, had a Nice seaview room.
Ex lounge is ok, quality of food not very good but the service of the team makes up for that. The ex lounge team is by far the best part of the hotel.
Breakfast is mediocre, service horrible( esterlin was the only very good waiter), very rude people, no management available, lazy waiters, everything you ask(coffee, water) feels like you ask them for a million. Reception was ok. Pool is big but water not very clean. Hotel is located on walking distance of the old city. Nice avenue to walk along the water

Hello anyone that read this, this hotel is very confortable, dont be fool by the personal if they seem to
serious, they will help you any way they can. The view from the pool is very nice and the gym has sauna and hot steam. The downfall at least this season is that the elevators arent working because they are being change, so I had to use a lot of times the stairs, so if you are out of shape or dont like stairs ask for a room in the down floors. This hotel has a lot of advantages if you are spg member, so dont forget to join.

we picked this hotel for its proximity to the Colonial district. our stay for 4 nights started off our visit to DR and Turks & Caicos. the location was good, rooms big and clean, but then the problems, only two elivatiors working out of three, the one remaing was maned and on a call from house phones. The hotel upgraded to club facilities, we had two incidents with the club. First I got food poisoning from some dips the last night there and my partner experienced racial discrimination, the waiter would not serve him a drink but did so 10 minutes later to some white folks who asked. Although both these incidents are serious the hotel management handled each in a very layed back way. I have yet to decide when back in London to talk to my lawyers about this.
would I return to this hotel? No, we are booked into the Ballini hotel for our return from Turks, that should be all the recommendation anyone reading this needs to make a decision on a visit to the Sheraton.
