Great hotel with excellent service
Reviewed 3 days ago

Great rooms, food, sauna, views of the sea, and--above all else--great people! I arrived with a bad cold and the restaurant staff nurtured me back to health with herb teas. I didn't even ask for them. I just mentioned that I had a cold and the waiter said, "how about a ginger tea with two squeezes of lemon?" The service at the front desk was also excellent. Very accommodating.

Room service needs attention

Stayed in the Executive Suite for 3 nights. Room well designed, excellent views from the two balconies and the bathroom also great with both bath and shower. Good club lounge but turned out that the breakfast and Open bar aren’t open over the weekend so if your staying over a long weekend only you don’t really get the benefits of paying extra for club facilities.

Trip only spoiled by room service. For some reason, minbar not replenished and coffee, tea, creamer etc also not refilled each day. Asked at reception on day 1 for refills and still didn’t happen. Also ordered food in room including bottle of champagne. When it arrived, when ready to open, discovered a price bottle less then half the price, this is fine if all they have but combined with the minbar issue, odd that a hotel doesn’t want guests to spend money when they stay! Also, after sorting out the wine realized that the dinner carte didn’t come with any cutlery at all - told on the phone by room service that there was. Why on earth why we would choose to wait another 15 minutes for knives and forks to arrive then eat a cold meal is again an odd attitude from room service

Might consider staying again for location and room but recommend best not to plan to indulge while in the room or stay in Executive suite until room service and house keeping improves considerably

Comfortable Rooms, Very nice view from the hotel.

Walking distance from the Casino's and not too far from the very attractive art place in Santo Domingo. Enjoyed every bit of my stay. Hotel's food, friendly staff cannot be compared to any other !!!!!

Great for workshop

I organized an event of 30 people at the hotel, including workshop space and hotel rooms. Katty, from the events group, was great and even printed several things last minute when I needed extra copies. She worked with the interpretation company in advance for them to set up, too. The hotel rooms were large and modern. The food was great. Good location too, close to the Colonial Zone and along the Malecon.

No complaints

This is a big hotel but lacks the magnificent style of other places in the neighborhood (Melacon) - however the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the basic ones have a small bath tub. it has a quiet floor if you desire to be out of any noice. The view from those rooms that look at the sea is also nice, diagonal on the costs so that you can enjoy the prospective of the coast line. The fitness center is small but well equipped. Same for the swimming pool.
