Simply Amazing

Loved, loved, loved this hotel.

The location is outstanding, facing the malecon and the ocean, between the downtown and the Colonial area.

The hotel has 15 floors, with most rooms facing the ocean with great windows. The front rooms are suites, with bigger windows and balconies. It is not a new hotel, but perfectly maintained.

Rooms are very ample, comfortable and with lots of lights.

The hotel has lots of amenities, including a spa, a swimming pool, a gym, a great restaurant facing the ocean, a coffee shop, bars, gift shows. It also has a Casino next door, very separated. The hotel is not the typical Casino hotel.

The best amenity for me was the swimming pool area, all facing the ocean. It has a pool bar with great service, drinks and food.

Service overall was AMAZING. All employees were very friendly and nice.

Highly recommended

Nothing special

Overall a hotel as any other in this price range, with a personality free room with some sort of a view on sea behind the parking lot, reasonably good breakfast, hot water, most important toiletries.

However they did manage to get on my nerves on a couple on occasions:

on the first night at 4:50 I got woken up because the previous guest has programmed radio for this hour and it has been left so; could not fall asleep and was tired and cranky the next day. Great way to start a business trip;

no complimentary water - that in town where it literally costs 40 cents in supermarket – not that one is inclined to go get one on arrival after dark. Sure thing, 6 dollar bottle of Evian available, jolly;

but alas, since I paid the bill up-front, the next day Evian had disappeared along with the rest of items form mini-bar, and the mini-bar was locked. First time I see something like that, rude and insulting – like I'm gonna steal their Snickers and other overpriced crap;

and the finale – when I arrive at checkout, it turns out that they have not included the meals in the initial bill (which was supposed to be half board packate), so here we go spending time with payment once more.

Frankly next time I would try out any other hotel on malecon, just on the odd chance that they may have a bit more of a pride in their establishment and a bit more professionalism.

Simply Wonderful

Staff, location fantastic with an excellent breakfast selection which was very enjoyable. The room I had did not have the best veiw which you can see from the photo but the room was very nice clean and comfortable. I would definitely ask for a room on the front overlooking the ocean next time. With an attached casino which the reception staff will give you complementary tickets for is a great way to spend a few hours. 10 out 10 I will be back next month.
