How to Get There
I chose to celebrate my birthday at this hotel because of the pool, great view and chill spoot to be with close friends and family.
When we arrived, we found nobody at the pool area and the waiter took almost 1 hour to take our drink order.
Waiters should be a little more formal with the clients... not a colmado. Is a boutique hotel.
I had t go to the reception to talk with one of the guys and ask for service... nothing out of there hands... i think.
After that and me asking for the service we ordered food and my plate was just discusting...
I told the waiter about the problem and he just smiled... like it was nothing.
That was just the end of my patience...
I went for second time down stairs and Mr. Lilo just took the situation as personal and did the best for me and my friends and family.
He was visiting our table during de afternoon and night.
He is great, polite and professional gentleman. But best... he knows how to empathize and find solution of everything. Not just material gift.
But the important... he was honest with us.
Are you a designer wondering how to combine the history of Colonial Spanish architecture with contemporary style and experience? Go to Hotel Billini in Santa Domingo.
Every detail in this hotel -- lounges, rooms, bathroom cremes, rooftop bar etc -- goes the extra mile. And it does it with taste.
We loved it.
Plus, my wife fell on the old cobblestone streets in Colonial Zone. Shout out and huge thanks to Victor on the hotel staff to ran to our rescue and patched her up and got her ready for a longer day of sightseeing and shopping!
This is a sweet boutique hotel just a few minutes by the hotel tuk tuk to the heart of the Zona Colonial. The rooms are relatively new with a modern décor. Ours had a little patio overlooking their ground floor common area which has a burbling water feature. Very quiet at night. Small fridge in room. Good in-room wifi. Lovely small roof top pool, and restaurant and bar. Very light traffic at the restaurant and it can be different each night. One night was movie night. For another, half the space had a private party. Another night we were the only customers. Pool could have been cleaner.
Breakfast offerings were excellent.
Super location in the Colonial Zone. Close to lots of good restaurants and the Cathedral. The staff is very friendly as helpful and most speak English.
Rooms are very modern, clean and decently sized. Very cool pool and bar/restaurant on the roof.
The hotel has two “Tuk-Tuks”, half motorcycle half pedi-cabs that will take you around the CZ for free (don’t forget to tip).
We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit SD again.
I can't say enough good things about this hotel and the people who work here. After a terrible few days at a luxury all inclusive in Punta Cana I didn't have high hopes for Santo Domingo but I fell in love. This hotel is in an amazing walkable location and the staff are some of the most friendliest people that I've ever met anywhere. I would stay here again and again without hesitation.
