How to Get There
My husband and I stayed here for several days on our way to Brazil. Charming hotel within walking distance to everything you need to get to. They were very accommodating of our early morning arrival and stored our luggage and provided breakfast. We ate several meals here as the restaurant operates long hours. The servers were always very friendly. We would definitely stay here again if passing through Santiago.
I really enjoyed this Boutique hotel; the internet functioned quickly and without any problems, and the breakfast buffet, included in the room rate, was generous for my liking.
I especially liked the atmosphere of the hotel. Since there are (from what I can see) less than twenty rooms, I like the intimacy of the hotel; seeing the same faces working in a hotel, even if you're only there for five nights, really just has such an unexplainable draw to it.
The hotel was helpful in providing me information on how to navigate Santiago, and was very honest when it came to prices and tour recommendations; I felt like I was treated well as a guest of the hotel, rather than as a client in an impersonal business, if that makes any sense. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel enough; its excellent location near the National Museum of Fine Arts and the beautiful Santa Lucia hill are the final factors that help to make this one of the best value hotels I've ever stayed in.
Great personalized service, great location, comfortable. Highly recommend. Will stay again. Initial impression from road was less than expected but after checking in, was well worth it. Very large balcony was unexpected bonus. Thanks Lastarria Boutique!
I loved this hotel. Very friendly staff and lovely rooms. It felt more like living in someone's home than a hotel. I highly recommend it. You need to go out for dinner though as they only serve breakfast and a light lunch/snack.
Location is great . Walking distance to Lastarria restaurant area and also Santa Lucia market and also Bella Vista restaurant area . Building is about 90 years old .
Free wifi , 2 bottles per day .
Staffs from checked in ( one staff) to first floor small dining ( one chef and one waitperson) are all very good and friendly .
Breakfast is basic with fruits , cereal and eggs of our choice. With nice coffee machine and tea
Mardi was kind enough to come at 0630 instead of 0700 so that we can have our breakfast before early departure .
Few maintenance issues to note :
Shower spoilt and floor creaks .
The tap mixer needs to be decalcified .
Quite close to Main Street so a bit of traffic noise at times .
As we stay on first floor front facing , we could hear talking noises early morning and late at night
